    Making a stretcher is very simple. You just a need the technical idea to design yours. 1. Clamping(with clamping devices or tools) 2. Treading (nut & bolt) and taking note on (3) Distance so you can tread well to achieve maximum tension. That is the engineering concept behind all industrial and home made screen stretching machines. Thanks for your video.

    So you’re just going right over the top of the old screen. Do they have something that breaks down the old glue so you can pull the old screen off the frame

      Use a grinder with a sanding pad but do it outside because that old glue becomes a gas when you emulsify it.

    Hello your link to the t-slot isn't working anymore, can you specify the size and series of t-slot bar you are using?

    • @CoolPrintsToday
      @CoolPrintsToday  3 года назад

      Get the metal slotted pull bars from 80/20 here: is.gd/sB2aKg The link is still active. As for the size, you will need to know the size of screens that you are wanting to stretch then measure accordingly.

    As I watch this...I can't help but think that there has to be a way to use that aluminum extrusion as a frame, and stretch the screen right on it before attaching the four pieces together.

    Seems like a lot of jackasses want to weigh in here with their opinions. The guy doing the video needed a frame to illustrate how this device works, so he sacrificed one, so YOU could learn how to do this. Instead of telling him he "waisted mesh clothes" why don't you say thanks, and let him worry about what mesh cloths he wasted. Maybe you would have enjoyed the long-winded video with the choking cat in it instead. Anyways, thanks Cool Prints for your time and effort. Very helpful.

      Thank you Mark for your reply. I agree with you! Some people are that way, unfortunately. My pleasure to show you want works for me with my diy screen stretcher. Take care!

      I support your view Mark B. You see wasting a mesh is not a big deal because I am expecting you the printer to make a lot of profit with one screen if well exposed to get a good stencil. Imagine using one screen to make 100s of prints for money. You will never make a loss even if the mesh is wasted.

Imagine using one screen to make 100s of prints for money. You will never make a loss even if the mesh is wasted because you will retrieve your money back from the prints you made and that is cool.
