- This new pro OBD2 scan tool from Vdiagtool; the VD70, is a new pro OBD scanner, and the fastest scan tool that I've used to get an all-systems scan done. This Vdiagtool scanner is also a budget pro OBDII scanner. In case you're looking for a professional obd2 scanner or asking what's the best scan tool for me, you may find this review video helpful.

Thanks for watching! Regarding the 2500mAh battery, Vdiagtool has clarified that since the battery voltage of the VD70 is 7.3v, as against 3.65v used by some tools with 5000mAh batteries, the power (current x voltage) gives the same 18.25Wh. Long story short, it will give the same runtime with a similar 5000mAh battery.
Here's the function coverage tool

Hopefully, by the time my new Toyota needs a scan tool, the prices of these scanners will continue to drop. Healthy competition drives the prices down, so hopefully, there will be some great deals in 6 or 7 years. Another great video!
Thanks mate! By that time, maybe we can get bidirectional/ECU coding/TPMS/all-system scanner for 50 bucks 😂. Totally agree with the competition. I now see that Autel is increasingly doing 2 year free subscriptions, that was almost unheard of some years back.
Really curious to see it program keys and maybe read pin codes
Got you! I plan to make the video soon.
Long story short,Xtool d7 in makeup 💄
It's more advanced than the D7 though. The direct comparator would be the D7S. The D7 is 1gb RAM and 32GB storage. Also has a better processor hence the boost in speed.
Can we get a key program video please. I'm looking for a scanner to mainly program Japanese car keys, would you say this is the best for that?
Thanks
Thanks for asking. Will be doing the key programming video soon and will be in a better position to advise.
Put it to work let's see what it can do, keys, bidirectional, special function ...
👍🏼 Sure.
Do you have any idea of what ohms reading once should get from a map 3-wire sensor?
Haven't had need before now to search this. Probably manufacturer specific? Not sure though.
Which Xtool can it be compared to pls
D7S, D7W
2500mAh battery? I like to have more battery than that, but then if the car battery is too low or even bad, then scanning and especially programming should be halted anyways. Not bad a scan tool.
Exactly! ABS module will be one of the first to protest a low battery 🤣. Can easily get an ABS code from a weak battery.
Actually, without the drain of mobile network signal, a 2500mAh paired with the OBDII charging isn't bad at all.
I know have a portable charger which I hook unto batteries when I sense they aren't too good or I'm doing a sensitive operation. I had to use it for the scan tool ABS bleed video.
@@DIYAutoworksNG 👍👍👍
So is this a rebranding of xtool? It is exactly like xtool so their function im sure is just the same.
Hey. Thanks for watching. As I mentioned in the video, companies often have joint R&D ventures, so it's quite a common practice. Launch and Thinkdiag software also look quite similar for example.
@@DIYAutoworksNG thanks for that. Now im on my 3rd xtool thats why im very familiar with the software.
I like your reviews always!
Thanks. Always good to have you.
Yea, it will be clear to anyone who's familiar with XTOOL software.
Las herramientas xtool son muy completas, me han dado muy buen resultado.Saludos
Hope you can make a review for backuping xtools like the one you did with your autel although xtool dint have a SD car i bet you can pullit using computer.
