    The amount of protein needed is very controversial. And very much depend on one’s goal:
    1. To build muscle 1,2-1,6g / kg LBM
    2. To preserve muscle mass: 0,8g. is sufficient.
    3. For longevity many suggest protein should only be 10% of total calorie intake.
    Always do resistance training.
    NONE of the Blue Zone centenarians did any resistance training though.
    And ALL the Blue Zones also were well below the 0.8 g. protein. (also the zone in Costa Rica, that was the zone with the highest protein intake - from chicken mostly).

    It puzzles me that regarding the necessity of reaching 1,2 or 1,6 g. / kg LBM ….. “this is especially important in periods of low protein intake” 🙃

    Why OMAD? In these times where so many (Rhonda, Attia and DeLauer) are reverting to eat more frequently ?? 🤓🙂

    yes also on omad, feels like u got cut off. our approaches seem similar, how many g of protein do u eat daily? im around 90-120g...

      On average, I eat somewhere between 100 and 120 grams of protein per day

      @@MyLongevityExperiment Reaching 1,6 g. Protein / kg LBM is a struggle (135g for me) if only from natural unprocessed real food.
      With a 45g protein shake it’s doable.
