    Nice review. I got my NBD HummingBird F4 V2 about a week ago and have been having a lot of fun with it. However, I am also experiencing OSD dropouts. Not much documentation out there yet, but hopefully they'll have a fix soon.

    • @Wild_FPV
      @Wild_FPV Год назад +2

      the Infinity Loops review mentioned that as well and if I remember correctly a suggested fix was lowering the CPU load on the FC. Whether that's through disabling unnecessary OSD elements, slowing the PIDloop or anything similar

      @wynnfpv  Год назад +1

      Yes, I’m also hoping for a fix because I’m having the same issue. I know the guys at NBD are working on a fix as of a couple days ago.

    Interesting to note that they dropped the 4 addressable LEDs from the V2. But the solder pads and resistors are still there…. Also I’ve realized noticeably better flight times on the V1 with BLheli_M firmware on the ESCs, even with the original 4 blades props.

    • @wynnfpv

      That is interesting. I’ll have to check my flight time comparisons now that you mention it! How much flight time are you getting?

    How would you compare this to the Mobula 7? The Mobula says it has a 400mw vtx and this has a 25mw is that correct or is that just the camera. I was looking for something I could fly around my whole house upstairs and down

    • @wynnfpv

      Hey I’m not sure because I haven’t had the mobula 7 yet. I would like to get one to compare but haven’t yet. 400mw would be nice. My friend had the mobula 6 and I definitely like the hummingbird better. The camera was the most noticeable better on hummingbird. Sorry I’m not much help because I haven’t owned one…

    • @wynnfpv

      You’ll want to put it into bind mode by typing in bind_rx then you should be good to go. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

    Would you recommend this as a first tinywhoop for someone who wants to fly indoors? My first FPV quad was a 2.5in for outdoor flying, I wanted to learn some control outside where I couldn't break anything dear to me. Now I've been eyeing this one and want to make sure it's easy to control in tight environments.

    • @wynnfpv
      @wynnfpv  Год назад +1

      Hey thanks for your comment. Yes, if you have an elrs transmitter this whoop would be a great option. It flies very locked in. They are currently out of stock but I think they are getting some in next week or in two weeks. I’ll be making a binding video also for getting the whoop and transmitter bound.

    • @saharmesri1810
      @saharmesri1810 Год назад +1

      Yep I've got ELRS, I've specifically been looking for an ELRS whoop. My only concerns with this one is the 25mW VTX, when I see the new ELRS Mobula6 and Mobula7 can go up to 400mW I think. That and the OSD issue, which hopefully they will resolve before they come back in stock.

    • @wynnfpv
      @wynnfpv  Год назад +1

      @@saharmesri1810 yeah I understand wanting 400mw. I don’t know how big your house is. For a regular size home you’d be fine. I would definitely upgrade the battery connector no matter or you get the hummingbird or mobula6

    • @saharmesri1810
      @saharmesri1810 Год назад +1

      @@wynnfpv Yeah it's not huge but it's really rectangular-shaped, so I need 3 wifi access points just to get good coverage inside and in the front/back. I'm concerned distance from one side to another through all the walls is an issue. But you just gave me a great idea. Even if my current quad shouldn't be flown inside, I can turn it on, the VTX defaults to 25mW, and just move it to different parts of the house by hand and see if I still get reception on the goggles. I also want to fly in a warehouse space I have access to, that one has no walls or major obstructions.

      Oh and yeah, I still have two PH 2.0 batteries that are in good shape so I'm gonna probably use those till they die and then buy new BT 2.0 batteries and update the connector.

      Your Emax E8 transmitter is running the FrSky protocol. This whoop/drone is running the ELRS protocol so this whoop won’t bind to your transmitter without adding an external rx.
      NBD does have other whoops with the built in FrSky protocol receivers and I will link those here: newbeedrone.com/products/newbeedrone-acrobee-beebrainbl-brushless-v3-bnf-frsky

For FPV I use the dominator v3
