Ouch you pretty much summed up my life lol😅 I am only 32 and I do only have Facebook, listen to the radio/CD collection, cook at home and eating out is a HUGE treat a few times a year, yeah I call people way more than text, caring about the environment but not freaking out about it all the time, I dress nicer for work than regular everyday stuff: but even then when I go out in general I put a bit more effort in, and yes I plan a bit much to feel financially stable. Great video!
The eating out so frequently thing does bewilder me. People are forever griping about the cost of everything, but they are not cooking at home…with the cost of eating out with tips and everything, it’s nearly impossible to justify the cost compared to making the same thing at home. I’ll eat outside the house maybe once a month and mostly for convenience if I can’t make it home at a decent time for a meal.
@syscruncher exactly me too. We have so many friends locally and they all have garage bars lol. We go there and byob and snacks and that's our fun. We will hit up real bar maybe once a month. When we do eat out it's almost always with friends. Makes it more special that way🤙🤙
Sometimes I'll choose to put an individual song on RUclips but I'd 95% of the time that I listen to music it's radio. I also just switch stations when the adverts are on, but I like the not knowing of what song comes next too 😄
I really enjoy streaming old shows. The first 2 seasons of Leave it to Beaver is just Hilarious and The Beverly Hillbillies not from the 80's but did watch them growing up..From the 80's I still enjoy watching Golden Girls ,Mr.Belevedere ,Cheers,Moonlighting. Can't name them all but YES they do make me feel better.
I'm about 50/50 on the list I think. Definitely agree with the nostalgic TV shows, 9-5 work schedule, brand loyalty, not worrying about climate change, and over-planning. I work remotely so my dress-code has gone to tshirts and shorts most days, but when I went to the office it was jeans and nice shirt, boots. Used to be dockers, button down shirt and ties. So I've done it all and though dressing the part does give the mental shift of "i'm at work" I tend to find I don't need that so much now that I'm older. And completely agree about the climate change thing. Sure, I pay attention and care about the environment - I'm just not going to lose sleep over it. I do what I can and know we as a nation do better than pretty much everyone else. Send the activists to China if they really want to do something. Let them protest those 300 coal mines they are digging over the next 30 years without penalty thanks to the Paris Climate Accords. (what a joke!)
Thanks for the shout out. I pretty much agree with you on every point. We seem to have similar values. That makes sense about old school shows, I do fb just to keep connections, I still listen to radio in my car , sometimes Spotify. Enioy cooking at home and celebrate eating out, talking on phone helps avoid text confusions and just makes me feel closer to person...my personality comes across better on phone calls. I like the routine of a work schedule. I like certain brands better than others, I try to be a good human being in regards to climate change, working from home I stay comfortable but always feel good when I dress up, and yea, I feel I may overplan a bit. Haha. Great video. Enjoyed that.
@radgraham I listened to it on my headphones as I worked...have a couple monitors. Took a while cuz i Got interrupted by a coupe phone calls and had to pause.
55 year old Gen X Streaming vintage shows? Not against it, but I don't seek it out. I've seen too many reboots that ruin the memories. Yes, I'm on facebook. Yes, I use it to keep in touch with friends and family. I like cooking at home, but I'm a fan of going out. Listen to the radio? Driving is one of the times I like quiet. I listen to the radio but not usually while I'm driving. I do like working 9 to 5, but I live in MST and work in EST 🤣 Brand loyalty? Guilty. I always buy Bounty and Charmin. Got my Head and Shoulders. Yes, I care about the environment. I recycle and I don't litter. EVs fascinate me but I'm still on the fence. I had a Woodsy Owl coloring book. Dress up for work? I'm in IT, so jeans and a t-shirt unless I have a meeting or an interview. Overplanning? I'm not one for plans. That tends to be when the word "Premeditated" gets thrown around in court.
I agree with most of your comments but for #7: I have a closet full of 15 year old banana republic clothes that I bought new and still fit great and look great. But they were bought 15 years ago… hmm
I don't watch old TV shows any more or listen to the radio (unless the internet is down). I use FB but hang out on X (formerly known as Twitter). My Boomer husband cooks for us since my mom started eating Weight Watchers crap when I was a teenager and I didn't have interest in cooking at the time so now I help my husband in the kitchen. My 16 year old uses the computer and doesn't have a smart phone however she has a headset that she can wander around the house with. She puts down her headset at dinner which she started to do all by herself. I hate phones and am at odds with my family so no contact. I'm a housewife so no work schedule to speak of. I leave the shopping to my husband since I don't drive. I care about nature and I'm also not happy about the EV push. I'd much prefer to live in nature instead of the suburbs. I understand if someone isn't dressed properly since I know that if you haven't had money coming in due to job loss (just scraping by financially), you're going to have poor clothing. I had shoes that looked like they could sustain my shift because they were barely worn at all but since they were at most 10 years old they fell apart as the sole came right off as I was doing my chores. Go figure that I bought them at Walmart as one of those cheap brands. Anyway, my boss told me to keep them on even though they were a hazard. I almost slipped in the bathroom as the soles were taped to the rest of my shoe with some poorly used adhesive (no duct tape to be had). I decided that if I'm not going to be safe at work then I guess it's just not worth going to the hospital or dying for as my salary wasn't all that much. At least I tried to be a working person for a bit. Maybe I should start a RUclips channel but I'm afraid that I'll come off as some sort of idiot.
@THRITCHIE76 well some consider me an idiot and I do it anyway🤣 You won't please everyone. My wife's is a housewife also and is rarely ever on her phone. She does stream music in the house on Pandora but pretty much listens to the same radio stations I do in her car. Thanks for commenting 🤙
What do you think of the lost? Which ones on it do you still do?

@desdecardo I do admit I get so tired of the reboots. However the reboot of Magnum P.I. was great. Done very well🤙🤙
