Older musician here, Love your stuff. That was a time when no one got crazy about jokes with no bad intention.. I grew up in a Military family and never was aware of "Racism" until I was about 12 . We live in a different world now . I lived all over. It is bad now but I wish for the best.
I think it started downward when emo became popular. I am millenial from 1985 but we are just basically the same as the gen x. We knew manual labor, played outside when we're kids, watch movies on VHS yet still knew how to use technology.
I can’t believe how sensitive everyone is these days. Don’t laugh it’s offensive. Dark humor is what got me through some stuff. I am a 90s guy . I was born when dark humor was a thing for like 11-12 years something like that. Plus I have been disabled since I was 8 years old. I spent a lot of time with that dark humor.
@therabidpancake1 yeah humor and laughter is actually healthy for people. Instead they're all so stressed and clinched lol. I think these commercials are great and plan on doing more videos just like this one. Thanks for commenting 🤙
we didnt care about race back in our Gen-X days, everyone made fun of all races and stereotypes because we didnt take it seriously and made jokes all the time. I dont know exactly when that changed, I think it was around the late 90's it started and kept getting more and more "woke". I lived in the south, had a group of friends who were black, white and hispanic. We all made fun of each other equally, and no one got offended they just returned the joke and we all cracked up. We didnt care one bit about race.
That's exactly how I grew up. I'm Hispanic and hung around all races. We all told racist jokes to each other and made fun of stereotypes. No one got upset we just laughed and all got along. Unfortunately, those days will never return.
Just found your channel.Subscribed! Unfortunately off too work I go,Can't wait to get back home and watch more of your videos. Yes Gen X here! 1965...First of the gen x.Grandpa X! lol
RE: Joe Piscopo beer commercial. On SNL, there were 3 skits in 1983 w/ Joe Piscopo & Eddie Murphy: Old Jew Beer, Old Negro Beer and Old Chinaman Beer. They were hilarious!
@@radgraham Piscopo and Murphy were a great comedy team! "Frank sings tunes the young people will enjoy". Eddie Murphy's Stevie Wonder impression was perfect! If you can find the "Old ____ Beer" commercials, pls send them.
Offensively Hilarious! Walk it off and rub some dirt on it. We have to be able to laugh at ourselves. That comedian who called Puerto Rico a flouting pile of garbage was funny and correct. Puerto Rico does have a waste management issue do to having to import everything, and a growing population creates waste fast on a tiny Island I truly don't think they recovered from that hurricane they had. Maybe we should address their infrastructure considering they are a territory of the US.
Joe Piscopo did a whole series of Miller Lite ads exploiting the insane shape he was in; besides the Bruce Lee parody, the one I remember most was one using the old cold-war trope of russian woman (athletes?) being masculine--Joe and several burly guys in drag. 11:45
@@melissas4874 I think the commercial is great. It popped up on other channels as being an offensive 80s commercial. I don't see any issues with it myself, but it is funny!🤣🤙
That "let em have it" commercial is a New Orleans store. Located just down the way from the "Drive By Market"....yes because there were so many drive by shootings they named the store that as a joke. Yes it was black owned. People need to get some thicker skin...

Gen-X will be of the age to dominate politics and upper managment in the near future.
Gen X's parents were, do as I say, not as I do. And backed it up with a belt.
@reyluna9332 or in my case a switch from the oleander bush🤣😆🤙
