- A Murrieta woman who was captured on video suffering hundreds of bee attacks is speaking out after she was hospitalized.
It’s been nearly a week since Linda Briggs, 74, was attacked by a vicious swarm of bees outside of her home on June 28.
“People said it was really lucky,” Briggs recalled. “That some people have died from this and that I had a lot of toxin in me. If I were to get stung again, that could be fatal.” She was standing in front of her home when suddenly, the bee swarm came around the corner and surrounded her.
KTLA's Shelby Nelson reports on July 4, 2023.

God bless you Linda! I can only imagine how hard it can be for a single woman with no children. I hope people who are local can step up to help you fix up your home and get up to date on your maintenance. I know how expensive it can be these days, if I was local I would volunteer my time to help you, but I am not. I will donate what I can afford to help you.
the city who in all its Glory cannot help a old lady out....
It's truly a miracle she survived. That video of her being stung was heartbreaking to see.
I sure hope Linda realizes its time to leave and go live with her family. So glad she is recovering well. 😊
under health and safety they will close a place down but for the same issue of health and safety of the public they wont help an old lady out and keeping that area a threat of being attack by bee's
Linda looks like she gets stung regularly when she gets bored
yep!
ROFL
Up to the home owner that's ridiculous something has to be done and make the city remove the bees, the bees were outside when she was stung they weren't in her house although they came from her house and how did they get in her house from the outside, therefore they're in the neighborhood and need to be removed outside and inside by officials
Dangerous, be aware, those things heat up hidden anywhere near trees and plants.🙁🐝
Umm they had this bees for like a year
I’m glad she’s ok but now I want to know who decided to record a damn video instead of HELPING. you see this woman being attacked by the bees and all you do is pull out your phone to record. WTF
Agreed, but I believe she's the caller of 911. To avoid a 2nd victim, what should the video taper have done?
$58-$120 per session for bee sting therapy. 3-8 stings per session. Reported to cure many ailments and relieve symptoms of arthritis.
She does look a lot better and younger after her bee sting "session". Shoot! After 700, she's gonna live to 115!
Why throw an old lady out of her home in these times? Once the bees are gone they don't comeback. It's not her fault she couldn't afford an exterminator. Instead of taking her from her home just imagine how many infestations of bigs and rodents around the nation as well as how many homeless ....let Linda bee
I liked her little bee sting shuffle 💃
who said she can’t afford it?
Bees Lives Matter
Family didn't seem to help, she wouldn't be able to sell until got rid off the bee's and they couldn't help with getting then removed and seal up where they got in from.
Recorded her instead of helping her
not normal honey bee activity....100% sure these were africanized bees
I thought honey bees didn’t attack?
Here in Southern California we have AHB very dangerous invasive species very prolific my office receives 200 phone calls a day for bee removal
You're tough!
A Beekeeper won't volunteer?
Bee fear porn .
Yellow was the worst color to use, it attracts bees.
waving it around too didnt help but attract more.
@@SedriqMiers Also using it to crush them on her face, they release a pheromone when they are assaulted or sting that calls in others to defend so she was soaked in alarm pheromone, flapping a pheromone soaked yellow towel, and moving slowly out in the open. She should have gone straight in the house and only had to deal with the few dozen that follow her instead of 100,000. Dogs will take care of themselves.
Looks like a termite problem as well as a bee problem
they're all too squeeky cheap to get a bee remover and put up some new boards for her. The kids should be trying to help secure their inheritance, the house, but can't think about the future.
If you dont like the birds and the bees get mirrored solar panels.
There's a really good guy for the killer bees there in Arizona. I forget his name. He has videos on RUclips.
Woman with dementia attacks bee swarm would be a more accurate title.
The Killer Bee Guy
😊
Lol!!😂 bees 🐝
I’m so sorry I laughed at this.. cleary I have issues 😔😔😔. It’s always two sides to a story I wonder what the Bee Spokesperson would say?
Once they showed her face and you hear her speak, it really humanizes her. This is very interesting because it goes to show you how much a hoody can dehumanize you and make it easier for people to attack or shoot you (thinking of the young boy who was wearing a hoodie in Florida and gunned down)
@@Chad-Giga. so the bees gunned her down? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bees Lives Matter.
@@lordmanos9442 nah you added that to your comment later
@@Chad-Giga. your right
why was she not running away
Said she is 74, so it's probably good she didn't run and fall. Possibly breaking leg/hip/arm.
