- A 9-year-old girl wounded in a stabbing attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class in northwestern England died Tuesday, bringing the death toll to three.

because they need an angle for their story. what does showing Taylor Swift concert have anything to do with the stabbing.
I’d probably feel sad if I was in her shoes, can’t imagine anyone would want a tragedy like that to happen at an event that had their name on it. Sadly with all the mass violence these psychopaths do these stories rarely get told. I think that’s probably why it matters though, Taylor swift is the biggest celebrity right now, so she has the opportunity to bring these tragedies to the public’s attention. So it makes sense in my opinion

Wait so you're telling me that when criminals can't get guns because they're banned that people will just use a knife instead? I am absolutely shocked. Oh and knives are illegal in England as well and that didn't stop a mass stabbing? I thought criminals followed laws?
For full disclosure I'd be a gun owner in the US. I know that because I'm one in the UK (yes we do have guns) but firstly knives definitely aren't illegal in the UK. It would make sense in Japan with their chopsticks but we use regular cutlery so we do require knives to eat our food. It would be so hard to eat a steak with two forks. But that's not really the point. 3 kids are dead. That's 3 more than needs be but if you compare that to the last time Britain has a mass shooting in a school in Scotland then you'll see the point. That whole class would have been wiped out if he'd had a gun, well most guns anyway. I doubt a bolt action would have done him much good but let's be realistic and I'm saying this as a former paratrooper. There's a reason our militaries are armed with rifles and not knives. It's because they are a hell of a lot more effective. If he'd gone into that with an AR then they'd all be dead. Again I'm not against them but using that as an argument is a strong one
The thing is, you failed to mention how hard it is to get a firearm LEGALLY and keep them in the UK, so when you use firearms as scapegoat attack against the use of firearms, it kind of doesn't hold water.
Also, knives are not illegal in the UK, but having one on you CAN(not always) get you in trouble with those psychotic police over there.
