Books: The Cat Prince: & Other Poems by Michael Pedersen (1:19) Orbital by Samantha Harvey (3:00) Goya by Frederick S. Wight (4:06) Films: Heretic dir. Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (7:24) Atonement dir. Joe Wright (10:58) Moonrise Kingdom dir. Wes Anderson (12:16) Zoolander dir. Ben Stiller (13:42)
Heretic was amazing! If you liked that I would recommend Martyrs (2008) or Saint Maud, I liked how it really broke down religion as an institution vs religion as self-faith
I just want to say! I'm such an isolated person but your videos make me feel so much more connected in this world and seen! Also you are so so inspiring as someone who's written poetry since they were young I didn't think it was something I could persue if I hadn't happened across you I don't know if I would of seriously considered publishing without you 🩷🩷🩷 so much love
my dad is a huge space nerd and we always have deep talks about life, i’m going to give him orbital for christmas, it fits him perfectly❤ thank you for introducing me to this book :)
I completely agree on your take on Hugh Grant. He's brilliant when playing villains, he wa also amazing on the lastest dnd movie. It's nice to see him breaking out of his typecasted baffled romantic englishman trope.
Hi. First time on your channel. I saw Heretic last month, too, and loved it. Also adore Moonrise Kingdom. I can’t not watch it when it pops up. Thanks’ 👍
Wes Anderson films are a feast for the eyes. I would highly recommend any film by Wong Kar Wei - I recently re watched In the Mood for Love and it is stunning.
I also have read Orbital and this was warm and beautiful 🌎🌍🌏 especially paragraphs about continents and comparisons them with overgrown gardens 🌸 darkness and emptiness of oceans from astronauts perspective out of space view 🌑

I've never watched Atonement, but the book is wonderful. It is crazy-lovely how the author tells the story.
