2003 is for me the most important year of gaming. Freedom Fighters, Max Payne 2, Thief 3 and of course Sillent Hill 3. Those were good times in gaming.
Freedom Fighters is an amazing game! I discovered it back in the day, during my time on the original Hitman games. IO Interactive did a great job on it. Worthy of a remake🙂
The split worm literally looks like a half-life monster. Like some kind of inverted autogun trap where it grabs you and insta-kills you until you slowly advance on it and feed it a grenade at close range. As for symbolism, I can't help but see it as a nega-heather and precursor to dark alessa. It's telling her "you can't hide what's inside". Heather hides herself, like the split worm. The town's telling alessa she can't hide from it or herself long before that duel on the carousel.
I absolutely love this channel, and the combination of research and personal insights which go into the monster analyses in particular. You also happen to cover all of my favourite games of that era, from the original Tomb Raider, Silent Hill and Resident Evil, each one a title which particularly resonates with me. I was in my mid to late teens when all those games came out on the PS1, and have played them all and the sequels so much since that time. All of these factors just happen to make this one of my favourite channels on the web, and I appreciate the time and effort you put into making them, and havung thek floe naturally instead of those "edit everything into one exhausting sentence spoken at a hundred miles per hour" types that people seem to be so fond of. So thank you 😊
Thanks, Mat, I appreciate the kind comment👍 Yeah, It was one heck of an era to grow up in with games like these, as well as Metal Gear Solid and the Final Fantasy series, which I hope to do some videos on at some point, are still to me some of the greatest games of all time, and it's great that none of these games have been forgotten in modern times🙂
One has to remember that this may not be heather's silent hill but rather claudia's. She obviously exerts a great degree of control over it, and it seems like an actively harmful assault on her psyche designed by another. Claudia was alessia's bestie. She could have been in the original silent hill's fog and otherworlds, but the monsters would not have harmed her. So she took them, modified them, and used them to try to bring alessia back. The pregancy allusions don't just relate to claudia's desire to force heather to birth the god, but also claudia's desire to tear heather and alessia apart so she could have her beloved friend back.
Silent Hill 3 is one of my favorite Silent Hill games. I manage to be able to play Silent Hill 2 Remake and was soo happy to play it. I miss playing Silent Hill 3
(Reposted due to spontaneous deletion) I think the numb bodies are actually a reflection of Heather's affect and isolation, particularly her anti-order paranoia. She's basically been in a discovered deep-cover spy her entire life, being hunted by the order from birth. This stunted her emotional growth, and a life of paranoia have rendered her body and mind numb to the world. Harlequin Icthyosis has been raised in question with this creature, and I thoroughly belive numb bodies suffer from the condition, their painful armored skin damned to crack and show vulnerability.
Thanks 😄 If there's a lot of interest for these enemy analysis videos then I'll be happy to carry on making more besides my Easter Eggs and References videos.
Cheers, SOUL REAVER 83 👍 Apart from doing the Resident Evil enemy analysis videos, I'm going to be doing one on the creatures and vampire clans of Nosgoth 🙂
I will do these games when I can get a copy, they're really expensive these days, and I really want to re-play them on my PS2. I'll be doing some more Silent Hill videos for the next month.

20 years ago before Gaming became mainstream bullshit trying to appeal to Normies to get their money and nothing more...
For me it’s Kotor. It was my introduction to rpgs, which defined my who I am as a gamer.
Manhunt and SH3 gave me anxiety as a child.

Even the god skip leg day💀
This is so messed up😅.
Awesome video by the way!!
Thanks, Zara🙂 Yeah, I found this game to be way more violent than the second one.

I never got to finish Silent Hill 3. I and a friend played the remaster but it kept crashing at Brookhaven Hospital.
Great video, man.
Hey, thanks 🙂👍
Alessa’s burning was purely accidental because of a boiler explosion.
No she was burned on purpose
The article can be found in the PAL version of the SH.
Will you be doing a silent hill 4 and Silent Hill origins video

This game needs a remake
