I've rented the model 29 .44 magnum with a 4" barrel at the range more than once. It's definitely a beast to shoot and it's very loud. On more than one occasion the shooter, who was standing at the next lane practicing his/her shooting skills, got so distracted by the loud bang that he/she abruptly quit the range session and the skin on the web of my hand got peeled off by the stout recoil of the model 29.
I’ve owned the GP 100 and S&W 686 for decades. Although different in several ways both are excellent revolvers.
I also have one of both...(6").
Excellent and beautiful revolvers..!!
would love to see the GP100 in a 41 magnum 4" barrel.
I have a soft spot for revolvers. The very first handgun I fired was a Smith & Wesson Model 57 .41 magnum. The first handgun I bought was a Ruger Redhawk in .44 Magnum
I bought a Ruger Security Six (.357 Magnum) back in the mid. 70's. It is still my cold weather carry firearm since it's size makes it a little hard to conceal wearing warm weather clothing. After thousands of rounds without any malfunctions, I think I will keep it. However, I did purchase a Ruger GP100 Match Champion (also in .357 Mag.). It's slightly longer and slightly heavier than the Security Six. I carry it when deer hunting and otherwise, it resides next to the bed as a back up for the .12 ga. shotgun.
You lost me at Taurus .327 Magnum.
Awesome 😎
My Governor is amazing with that Federal buckshot in it...Four 000 pellets staying together like the Blue Angels out to about 20 feet..
Taurus Toro firer has flinch problem when firing.
Optics on a handgun is like lipstick on the Mona Lisa waste your money Gen Z you’ll grow up soon😂😂😂😂
I have two Taurus 608 and a 605 I carry, I'll stack these up against any revolver made.
Excelente video..!!
The Ruger GP100 does NOT come in a 10 round version. That's so ridiculous to say that it brings into credibility this entire video.
Yes it does. In 22lr but it does.
Taurus??? Please.....
You know who thinks revolvers are good weapons?
People that has been shot by revolvers....
"Insane" along with "going forward". I've heard enough of these descriptions, that don't mean a thing.
Uhh Dan Wesson .357 that has interchangeable barrels that everybody said wouldn't work but it did and does very-very accurately as proven in competitions.
How do you miss/not include that one? So good it is that even after all these years It's a coveted collectible. I have shot and want one!
I have two from the Monson MA era and I will never part with either one for any offer. When I used to go to big gun shows there would be hundreds of S&Ws, Rutgers, and Colts, but only rarely did you find a DW for sale. I passed on a four barrel case in .357 that I will always regret. You can reduce the cylinder gap to .004” safely and get more power and less lead spitting. You have to stay on top of the buildup at that gap though.
My first revolver was a Dan Wesson mode 715 with a 6" barrel in stainless steel . It's over 40 years old and still looks new
I love it.
@@richardhaddock5660 Awesome!
I asked around all my gun buddies and NO ONE was talking about these...
I talk about revolvers a lot. We are just in different gun buddy circles.
@@dwightshepheard4985 I agree, 11 of my 17 handguns are revolvers.
While my list might be a little different, EVERYONE has been talking about the Model 29 for the last 70 years…
I'm not sure what the voices in my head are talking about.
The one thing that Irritates me the most is when you are talking about a three twenty seven magnum, and you show a picture of a judge that is a forty five colt and four ten shotgun.
And it's neither a 3 inch or a 2 inch barrel..
So let's see the gun that you're talking about. Not talk about one gun and show another. It's like me talking about A bregatti super sport and showing a picture of a Yugo.
Can you get over calling every video “insane” it’s worn out in impact, nobody believes it.
Nothing insane about these arms; just examples of very good engineering (except for Taurus; they don't even make good fishing weights).
Paused to stop watching at 00:41
