The actor that played DI Haines was also in Eastenders years ago back in the 80s as a copper I belive. Whoever he was he was definitley in Eastenders in the 80's
Wasn’t he with Helen Mirren for a time in “Prime Suspect”? I’m sure he played opposite her character, D.I. Tennyson in at least one episode. I thought he was good in that.

He played a DS in EastEnders I think his name was Terry Richmond or something like that, he was investigating the murder of Reg Cox.
