      Thank you! I enjoy our newer format (both of this, our vlog/blog series and our newer "how to" format) much more than our older format as well.

    Sam how about some flat dish hubcaps. And yes I'd say fender beading!!
    Sam thanks for making this happen.

      I just am not a fan of the 66-67 "flat" hubcaps. They look like the 68 and later caps. The dome caps just look more vintage, I don't care if they aren't stock for 1967, they just look better in my opinion.

    Do you have a video on flushing the gas tank? What did you use etc?

    • @Sam_Mebane
      @Sam_Mebane 11 месяцев назад +1

      At 9:50 in this video, I am flushing the tank in our solvent tank. Purple Power is what we have in the solvent tank and ran that through the fuel tank. Followed by water, then brake cleaner and finally compressed air to dry it out.

    @jbugvwparts Brother, I’m need to install a third brake light, the third brake light has three wires: brown, black and greenyellow. Where does each wire go to and to which socket can I connect that to?

    • @Sam_Mebane
      @Sam_Mebane 5 месяцев назад +1

      Old VWs did not have a third brake light so whatever the wires are on your light is impossible for us to say. Your best bet is to hook up one wire (I'd start with the black wire) to the ground (negative) terminal of a 12 volt battery and connect the others, one at a time to the positive terminal so you can determine what does what on the light.
      As for connecting it to the VW wiring, the black/red wire at either side of the engine compartment is the brake light signal.

    Fender beading for sure. I mean if it’s free why not. Just kidding. I’m not sure the arrangement with jbugs.

      JBugs owns the car….so yeah, I mean we still had to pay for it, but we have to pay for every part we sell!
