Wish I had spent more time doing things like this when I was a teenager. I used to love collecting thrown out electronics on junk week. To learn things, I'd either try to fix them, disassemble or break anything that didn't work. I'd collect old school socketed tubes (the antique ones that were worth something) and desolder components to save for no good reason. I love when I smashed open an old green screen CRT monitor and saw the silvery lining on the screen that the CRT guns would hit to make images on the screen. It brought me to an understanding of how color TV worked in the 90's with color guns. VCR's, radios, and tape decks were also great for learning as well.

Hi, I like your ideas. I wanted to add a suggestion. On your LED tester, a shorter strip of plastic sheet mounted to the top of the numeric readout would help shade it for the camera better. The set lighting tended to drown out the contrast between the lit LED segments and the black background they are mounted within. I noticed that you started to shade the readout with your fingers and hand to make the lit LEDs more easily visible to the camera.

Interesting projects, however I would suggest a brief description of the projects in the title and perhaps DIY (Do It Yourself) instead of "You Can Make at Home".

nice projects, on the 3rd project, you might want to add 2 components to make your mini amplifier run even better. 1 - a 1uf/6v in series with the speaker to prevent any dc voltage going to the speaker. 2 - 470 ohm resistor in series with the base of Q1, this will lower the gain a bit to prevent any distortion. Cheers!
