- It's definitely summertime in Northern Ireland. The sun has finally decided to come out and the Classic car/bike show season is in full swing. This particular weekend (June 4/5) also saw the celebration of Queen Elizabeth's 70 year reign and many extra events were planned. I thought that a run to my old home town of Ballynahinch might be a good idea. There was a classic vehicle display at the Baptist church. I didn't know what to expect but I wasn't disappointed. A fine collection of mostly cars with the odd motorcycle thrown in. I also met up with friends Gary and Anita from 'McStitched Leathers' who provided an Al Fresco lunch.
All that and a bit of on board RC30 footage... Enjoy the video.
Alistair.
Great to watch some events I didn't get ,but love that rc30, out riding being enjoyed,,☘️☘️ from Belfast ride safe
Cheers Cecil. I have the RC put away for the winter now. I did nearly 3,000kms on her this year. Not bad!
Thanks for sharing this. What a beautiful noise ❤ And I hope that fuggin' key fob is in the bin! 😂
It's long gone Lee, thanks for watching.
Great day and the RC sounds to be in fine order, I love the note on that thing.
Ballynahinch does not appear to have changed too much although I have not been here for over 30 years, can you believe that?
I can well believe it.
I am jealous. I wish I still had mine. I had a 1990 RC30 back in the mid 90's. It must be the audio, but this bike sounds rough as rats at idle.
Hi Simon. I hope it's just the audio making it sound worse. Unfortunately I don't have anything to compare it to so I'm not sure what it's meant to sound like. I spoke to a couple of owners who said that they were fairly rattly in general. I'll keep an ear to it!
P.S. Don't remember you ever owning a wee Fiat like that, nor a Volvo. Was that Father's old one? Slightly disappointed you didn't find a Capri, possibly my favourite car ever. We had a 2.8i and a 3.0S in our "collection.
The Flying Fiat was probably around 94/95 and the Volvo was the old 'Meat' wagon from the business days. Reg No. PVC507W It was metallic plum colour then father had it re-sprayed black to be more in keeping with its task.
