The backgrounds (in general, not just the battles) are also hit-and-miss. Some look kinda good, but others look terrible. It seems they took the GBA port as reference for the colors, without taking into account that the GBA game was much brighter to compensate for the bad GBA screen. The result is a Narshe that looks like a holiday snow resort instead of an ominous town in the beginning, and grass that looks radioactive in the other towns.
I beat this game yestersay. I didnt even use ultima and had to revive constantly (with useless life and cure 2). It was such a relief to finally beat the boss when i thought it was all over. I had 1 elexir (mp and HP for 1 character). I was under powered which made this fight very exciting!
This fight is much better being under-prepared. Just for the damn sake of an 18 minute song. This run hears like half the music! And that's fine, but I think the final battle in this game is sort of like what makes FF6 stand up with the other games. It's absurd to think how it was made in the early 90s
While it's a hell of a fight, and one of my favorite designs ever, it's really easy. Picked this up on mobile to give it a try and the WoR transition makes him seem much stronger.
@@Walamonga1313 I personally save Kefka for dead last (in other words I 100% the game) and fight the dragons first. So by the time Kaiser falls you'll usually be op
@@aurorialgaming1935 well of course, if a game has a superboss and you go out of your way to beat literally everything else save for the final boss, including said superboss, the final boss is going to seem comparatively easier. @@rugalbernstein5913 I can name quite a few games that have bosses scale with the player for that exact reason. I'm not complaining that hes too easy, I just find it funny. Actually it fits his personality flawlessly.
I was surprised when I beat this game by how easy it turned out to be --- at least compared to when I finished up Final Fantasy IX a month or two earlier. I'm pretty sure I just spammed Cura and Ultima for almost the entire final string of fights, and I only lost like one party member to a KO.
I mean yeah spamming Ultima here would be like spamming 4x cut on Sephiroth. It's not gonna seem that hard. Necron is a bastard though, literally coming in unannounced for the entire game.
Unfortunately they never have since the SNES version. The PS1 and gba versions all failed to transition properly since the song had multiple loop points. It's weird because they managed to get the PS1 version to play properly for its last boss theme that had multiple musical loop points. Edit: it seems the PS1 version DOES transition properly. It's every other (non-emulated) version that doesn't.

@@kitster900 no it’s not even that. There are funnier ways of beating bosses by using many spells and fight choices than using the same spell over and over. Last time I fought kefka, I used the characters special abilities combined with spells. Not just the same spell

FFVI can be pretty tricky to first time players and have a lot o challenge even to veteran players. Plus, ultima is secret and takes time to get 4 characters to be able to cast. FFVI and FFVIII are way easier and lack difficulty in all terms, except for the weapon fights these two are a walk in the park even if you are a beginner, since the limit breaks make boss fights a joke.
People complain FF15 too easy and boring. I see this whole battle use the same magic attack over and over looks so boring, and the final boss easy to beat.
No... even playing this way would be boring. Like spamming knights of the round for Jenova or Sephiroth. Sure it looks cool and hits hard but all you're doing is watching. Make it a challenge lol. With that said... wow does pc look different o_O
and in FFXV you can spam items......boring. Shut the fuck up. At least this game has good characters and a satisfying ending. FFXV has no real story and no satisfying ending which makes it a failure. Sure it did some nice things with the four leads but beyond that the game is trash.
Hmm so I should just get Ultima and spam it to beat this shit? Worst final boss in any FF so far. Even worse than XII's. EDIT: Btw yes, Ultima is the way. Cheap insta death is the worst part about this, Repose is RNG dependent and yet it still always happened twice instead of once, without missing. Actual joke. If he cheeses you like this, then cheese it back with Ultima.
You talk like no other final bosses in the franchise could be easily defeated... Sephirot could be taken down in one turn if you have omnislash or knights of the round, Ultimecia is also easily taken down with aura/limits/holy war, Kuja didn't even pose a threat and can be taken down in about six or seven atacks, basically all FF games have some way to wipe out the bosses and in this logic VII and VIII are by far the easiest. The difference is olny in how you play, since these "super powered skills" are never easy to get. But of course, if you grind a lot you get ultima for all, but if you need to grind it means that you're no good or skillfull.
Incredibly ugly. Also big nitpick is how the boss tracks just cut off instead of transitioning seemlesslu like in the original game. Why would they do that?
I love how they drew the enemies. I just wish the character sprites actually looked like the characters.

It's challenging to find out each monsters weakness. I know everyone of their weaknesses from the whole dancing mad battle up to kefka

I use Locke for this to steal all 7 Elixirs, 1 Ragnarok and Ultima Weapon and 1 Megalixir

I hope the pixel remaster will be up to par with the way the snes ver transitions mid tier/fight and not to start from the beginning of the track.
Sadly it looks like it just cuts to the next part like all of the other non-SNES versions do.
