I suppose if he double tracked his solos it could give some interesting harmonic effects like that, but it makes it sing like crazy in the mix. VERY Brian May - which is funny because Rivers totally takes after Freddie Mercury on vocals - not the prowess, but the anunciation, especially of "S" words. On top of all the Quiet Riot and KISS he loved, he clearly loved Queen.

Theres definitely an octave effect on that, in some videos that have that part the higher octave is louder than the normal guitar
