    Love the review. In regards to suspension … easy to make the FL5 compliant like the ITS. The adapter module works like a charm and can be driven in +R mode and not kill ya. Comfort mode is a dream and sport is perfect. For me, problem solved.

      Thanks! I'm glad you mentioned that. I didn't learn about the plug & play suspension module until after I had filmed this unfortunately, so I wasn't able to work it into the video, but it's definitely an important note. Appreciate it! I'm gonna pin this comment.

    I’ve owned the FL5 for the better part of a year. Pretty bang on review. I’ve had zero reliability issues with the car. I have made a few modifications that I believe enhance the experience including installing the damper module from the ITS as well as installing rear A/C vents with USB a & c charge ports.

      @GearboxCarReviews  3 месяца назад

      Thanks! I always appreciate when owners chime in. Glad to see I've represented it well. The ITS damper module seems like the first thing I'd do as well if I bought one. Never thought about the rear A/C w/USBs. That seems like a solid improvement as well. I know my kids would've appreciated those things ha. Enjoy the car!

      Totally underrated for sure. I got spoiled with my GTI having a spot for my Nalgene in the door. Most cars I get into don't have a spot for it. Definitely makes a difference.

    Bought the car last month and had issues with the rear glass hatch with water. 1st to 2nd is clunky. Sometimes it'll grind with clutch all the way in when shifting high rpm 😢 never had issues with shifting on last gen's integra and 350z near redline

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  3 месяца назад

      Ooof, man, I'm sorry to hear that! I'd heard about some issues with the gearbox in the last gen Type R, but hadn't heard of the issues with the new one's or with the hatch. I didn't have any trouble in the 500 or so miles I had this one and really enjoyed it. Hopefully it's just a fluky thing and they can fix yours up or get you a new one if it's a lemon. Sounds like a pain to deal with 😢

    Comfort mode on mine is firm and sporty but quite tolerable for general blasting around. Sport mode is really stiff and plus R mode is oh-my-god, too stiff for the street. Nevertheless, I doubt if I’ll be swapping out the control module.

      Yeah, it definitely depends a bit on the roads around you. It was ok most of the time around here in comfort, but there were certain roads that were bad and some stretches of the highway that had these big bumps that were really rough ha. Glad yours is working out well! I love this thing

    Is that a dealer plate? Your car looks like you live in California. Did you pay sticker on this or how much markup?

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  3 месяца назад +2

      It's a manufacturer plate. Honda provided the car as a loaner. Would love if it was mine, but unfortunately it's not.

      The civicxi forum seems to have a lot of insight on places people are ordering from. Seems like there are a lot of places that have them on backorder, but I can't speak from personal experience for any of these places since I haven't tried to order from them.

      IIRC I found that in the infotainment not in the cluster. I didn't find it until the last day I had the car, and I can't remember exactly. I think it's either in LogR -> Settings -> Meter Display. Or it might be in the INDIVIDUAL settings -> Meter Display or something like that. Sorry, I wish I could remember. I'll dig around though and see if I can find any more info. LMK if you find it...

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  3 месяца назад +1

      @@raymondleung6I’m pretty sure it’s actually the standard safe position for drivers, arm at 90-110 degree, shoulder back and thigh should remain contact with the seat, your leg not too straight when pressing clutch all the way down, make sure your knee isn’t hitting anything.
