Hi Ibrahim, hope you’re doing well. Thankyou for making this video and sharing your insight, it’s really helpful. I do need help with one thing if you can spare some time. The gmc is expected to announce plab 1 seat in September, ive contacted them via email and they’ve said that they’ll notify people well in advance so everyone can prepare accordingly. Now ive a shortage of oet seats in my country. I have one on 19 august but that’s too inconvenient for me to travel 16 hours. I have another in start of September and as oet takes 15 days for result announcements i fear i may get late for booking a plab 1 seat this round. Can you please suggest me what would be the wise thing to do here. And if anyone else has any suggestions please do share
Hi Ibrahim, thanks for the video. Can you please clarify, do you choose between PLAB and UKMLA or are you expected to pass both?
It's one or the other. As UKMLA will be rolled out over 2024, PLAB will no longer exist.
@roadtouk after completing my internship back home, is it possible to get my crest form signed off let's say during a non-training job which is for less than 1 year, so that I can directly apply for interviews without having to do FY-2 for another year.

Can i practise in Ireland by doing UKMLA?
Hello Ibrahim! Good Evening. I'm a final prof examinee of BD.. will sit my exam from 1st August hopefully. It will take almost 2 months to finish. Will it be possible for me to book my seat for 2024? My IELTS /OET isn't cleared yet. Will you kindly give me some suggestion regarding what to plan now & how ? I want to clear the licensing exams after my MBBS as soon as possible. Thank you.
Keep your IELTS/OET ready and create your GMC online account once you're done with medical school.
is UKMLA Q bank is enough to prepare for plab 1? or need to study all the topics in detail? my exam is in feb and so confused about that.

The only thing you can start doing is doing your english proficiency exams just before you graduate.

While I was looking at the MLA content map and the GMC website I wasn't able to find any information about the MLA requirements for European Graduates. Do you have any information about this? @@salmanhussain2909Hi, I have written an email to GMC and received this answer: "At this time, those with a relevant European qualification will not need to take the test due to current legislation. If this changes, we will provide updated information as soon as possible." I hope it helps.

Yes it’s only for usmle nothing to do with ukmla

We can only speak to what we have experience of, and as we have never used plabable, we cannot say. However, our understanding is that it is based on the PLAB blueprint, and not the MLA content map, which is what the exam is now based on.
