Whenever I use cream products on dry hair I end up with so many flakes once my hair dries. Refreshing with water is a must for me. But you had great results.
Depends on the cream product and how much you use. This one is silicone based so lighter than say a shea butter based. I can't use the tap water daily where I live. Too fully of crap, so I use a light mist of rose water or a water based leave in.
@@marleyhill34 I see what you’re saying but I think it has to do with my hair’s porosity. I have low porosity hair so products just tend to sit on my hair strands. I really have to work products in with water. My guess is that Kelsey may have more high porosity hair so her hair may absorb products easier than mine.
Here's me trying to make sense of why this works so well and why water-refreshing doesn't: Whenever I try to refresh my hair using water it doesn't "reactivate" the gel but more so dissolves it in a way (or maybe mixes with it?? idk), causing my hair to get even more frizzy. It makes so much sense that only the gel can "reactivate" itself. Also I used to think that adding water for a refresh was me moisturizing my hair but the hair doesn't even retain any of that water anyway because it is coated in product. So that's why it would take forever to dry because that water and gel is now just sitting on top of dirty hair. All in all, this one little video just saved future me so much time lol
OMG yesss much needed! Thank you Kelsey!! Ive been looking for ways to refresh my hair without having to spray my hair every time. And sometimes for my texture water creates more frizz smh.
Depends what is in the water. I don't use tap water daily. Too much crap in it where I live. I use rose water, Aloevera juice based leave in or As I am castor oil water. The cheapest option is a gallon of distilled water. Not mineral water. My hair doesn't like minerals daily.
My hair loves water with aloe vera gel and kid's organics detangling leave in lotion since it keeps my waves in place and the frizz monster away for awhile but I'm going to try this!! Thanks K🤩
Just a note. This is silicone based so if you don't shampoo with a strong non-sulfate or a gentle sulfate, you may run into issues. I use this but only put it on the ends not my entire strand length.
Yesssss!! New video! I have been subscribed to the girls now for about 6 or 7 years, but I only watched them occassionally. But this past week and a half, I have been watching them every day! They have literally become two of my favorite RUclipsrs! Love me some Kelsey and Kendra.
I was just telling someone today I’ll probably have to wear my hair up tomorrow but instead ima try this to get my through tomorrow and Friday. Results are bomb 🤩
I still just use water to reactivate what’s already in my hair and only add gel where really needed. Hair doesn’t take long to dry in south Florida 🥵 because it’s sooo hot. But I will try this on vacation because rewetting the hair takes forever!!
I heard that the L’Oréal elvive products really make your hair grow is it true? Because I been wanting to try this product for a while. Kelsey your hair is always so beautiful 🤩

Never done a wash and go, but really want to try it. My question is...if I use the Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk with the Camille Rose Curl Maker (just watched your video on leave ins) I would use the same products to refresh my wash and go? Just a beginner trying to learn. You and your family stay blessed and healthy ✝️🙏🛐. I accept all help from anyone.
Ran out to Walmart an grabbed the dream lengths conditioner an leave in conditioner the smell is so overwhelming for one an the products had good slip but not very moisturizing so back to the store they go 🤷🏾♀️ an I got to wash my hair again.
High in Fragrance and silicone so not for everyone. I use the leave I very sparingly on the ends only. I have high porosity 4c hair so no way I could put that all over my hair.
I love afro hair, but unfortunately I personally cannot spend so much time just to deal with it so I keep on shaving my hair. When I want to rock an afro I just get my AFRO WIG. But girrrrl I admire your efforts 👌
I swear my hair is a hot mess. My curls don't look the same anymore and I don't do anything damaging to it such as heat, high manipulation styles and I switch between protein and moisturizing d.c... help
I was looking at @/earnestlynatural on IG and she was talking saying another reason some may see curl fatigue is through constantly air drying your hair. I think it definitely may be worth looking into because it sounds like you're intentional and responsible with your hair care!!
@@VerdianAuguste how often do you shampoo and/or use a clarifying/chelating shampoo? Do you deep condition with heat? Do you use raw oils, butters and grease?

When doing wash n go’s.. how do you avoid your hair being stiff? Like if I put it to one side .. it stays like that the entire wash n go style .. I can’t ever just flip it over to the other side without wetting it
I find that if I apply gel thoroughly from roots to ends during styling and flip my head over and shake my head when it's about 80-90% dry it will cause the clumps to separate from each other (without causing too mush frizz) and make them more "flowy" or more susceptible to being moved around
@@thekaylaimani I mean my wash n go’s are flowy it’s just I have the “permanent” part to which ever way I do it and never can just flip over to another side without going back to the permanent side lol
