As a Black young man everytime I hear a story like this I immediately get residual shame. To be clear im nobody's father ,yet this isn't a good look for my demographic and whether or not I like it, this will change social perceptions of me. I once had a conversation with another guy who had fathered numerous children and it was so disgusting I actually stopped eating and walked away to the bathroom. He spoke of his children and their mothers like little trophies. They were exotic commodities to him and he was bragging about being an irresponsible, morally bankrupt character who was devoid of any guilt or shame. Although non of his baby Mama's where Black he took pride in specifically having mixed raced children from each racial group and this was a 32yr old manchild with 12 children. He didn't even have a job and was mooching off some white woman he had knocked up.I've never spoken to him and avoid him to this day but one thing he did show me is just what kind of man I do not want to be. I went and bought myself 100 condoms and went to study for my Econ finals. To this day I cary contraceptives on me and when I don't want to study for a class or attend a lecture, I just remember him and won't you know it I miraculously find the courage to cary on with my degree and internships.

I think it’s funny that when non-black women go through this, black women are supposed to come with our capes and tell her that it’s OK and be there for her and be all sisterhood. But when regular black women have these stories of getting pregnant by a man who has six kids by six different women, we don’t go viral. We are taught and told to choose better, and that it’s all our fault but for some reason she gets to go viral, and have people feel sorry for her. No shade to her and her situation, props to her for staying in her child’s life. I wish her and her child all the best, but it seems like she got the same treatment, despite being a preference.

For those saying it’s better to marry first, I married first. I lost my virginity in my marriage 😭 this man asked me to have his kids, I didn’t want to… I complied because were married. I had 3 of his kids. In my last pregnancy he cheated on me, abandoned me and my children and tried to get me evicted from my home when I found out he was cheating. I divorced him, and he hasn’t seen these kids since a month before the divorce was finalized. It’s been 7/8 months 😭😭😭 I am raising kids that weren’t in my life’s plan. But marriage does add more stability and it adds more commitment to someone. Marriage ITSELF is a better option but it all depends on who’s getting married. I’m sorry about what happened to you, but making a life long commitment to someone you wanna spend the rest of your life with is wayy better than deciding to have a baby with someone you just met just because you “like” him.

People be so ready to hate women it’s crazy. My grandma(rest her soul) did everything for my grandfather. Gave him 6 beautiful children, cooked everyday, worked side hustles to help family, was a god fearing woman. When she started to lose you health and mind he treated her like shit, he was ready to cheat, he called her all types of names it was so sad. I’m saying all this to say, it doesn’t matter if you’ve known a man for 6 mons- 1 year or “vetted” him your entire life and made him wait until marriage, if he wants to be grimy and treat you poorly after years of good and honest behavior he can and will. It is truly baffling to me that anyone would see someone hurt and in pain and the first thing they say is “well maybe you should be a better judge of character” you’re just an evil person at that point and I hope karma comes for you.

When our daughter was 8 months my husband started having an affair. I found out a week before her first birthday. And he left me with our child. He was so excited and attentive during my pregnancy. I wanted to end the pregnancy he reassured me how much he wanted a family with me and how much he would here for me, how much of a blessing I was to him.. And that goes for men and women

    • @purpleflows5680

Don’t have sex with people you wouldn’t want to get pregnant by. Period.
Smartest thing to do is vet before having sex with anyone. Being sexually disciplined is a life skill. Learning to self-pleasure is another life skill.

My mom married my dad - she was young (1970s) and very subservient and quiet. For 30 years he put her through so much. Cheating, hitting her, outside babies etc. And she finally Left him. And my mom is enjoying her life now almost 70 years old. She talks to me about all the red flags she avoided in their early 20s. She can recount actual moments like they were yesterday. RIGHT. i feel like we need to start holding parents accountable for sheltering tf out of their kids and never teaching them anything of substance when it comes to their social lives. i always wonder "why do women fall for the same tricks when we live in the age of the internet where there are literally women who will make content for younger women to follow?". it's probably because it still goes over their heads due to being hardwired and sheltered since young into thinking that the world is relatively safe.
i (20 years old) have never dated anyone but i can still see what i need to. my mom passed when i was a kid. my dad was abusive but i looked to women older than me online to teach me what i wasn't taught from my own parents - and my discernment for people in general is strong. probably because i started watching content from people when i was 12/13 years old. these women who didn't have the same experience are really sheltered and naive, falling for what a lot of us would be able to see right through - and it's because nobody was there to teach them anything of real substance from a young age. so even when they hear women warning other women about these things, it goes in one ear and out the other. they're so used to living in their bubble of delusion and nativity and it's sad af. i feel like there are little boys in grown men's bodies that never matured, preying on women who have stayed little girls in grown women's bodies who aren't mature enough either. that's why these grown men prey on younger women. they vibe together because they're on the same maturity level at one point (until the woman gets messed over and matures from betrayal). i'm actually sick of it.

This is literally just like MY STORY!
Happened to me in 2012! My daughter’s father up and disappeared on me one random Thursday when I was 7 months pregnant with our baby. I was high risk pregnancy so I was on bed rest and couldn’t work. So I lost the apartment, had to break the lease and move in with my mom. I couldn’t ever reach him to even find out what was going on because he got a whole diff phone number! I later found out via mutual acquaintances and social media that he went back to his ex. This may have been the most painful experience I’ve ever went thru. Especially because we weren’t even beefing. He literally kissed me goodbye that morning, kissed my belly and left and never returned. That was my last time seeing him.
I did take him to child support court eventually where he yelled in the hallway at court that he “ain’t getting a job because I’m not paying shit!”
Mind you, our beautiful little 6 month daughter was there.

Stop saying that a baby is a blessing when it is NOT!! A baby is only a blessing when both parents are married, in a committed relationship and have the financial means to raise a child.

As a young woman, who saw both sides, married people in their family and people who are baby mamas, I realize a lot of men will be in a relationship, but they don’t wanna be fathers. I remember my aunt Babyfather coming to see her and not his children.

✔️Weren't dating for a long period.
    ✔️Weren't BOTH using contraception.
    ✔️Weren't committed via marriage.
✔️Weren't merging families together to create a community with their in-laws.
I mean, even without the dealing of illegal substances and the out-of-wedlock kids from previous relationships, this situationship was never a recipe for success. Better luck next time ma'am ✌🏾

And omg getting two people pregnant around the same time?? The way that men play Russian roulette with their sexual health completely disgusts me

Don’t have no man’s baby who is not already your husband, or who has no intentions on marrying you thereafter.
We shouldn’t even be having risky sex with men who are not married to us. This is your entire future ladies, don’t put that kind or power into the hands or some rando man.
Having a man’s child is an honor to that man. You risk your life to literally bring the child into the world. Every man does no deserve to be a father. Now she’s struggling with his baby, with no help from him.
