I’m my worse critic but the more videos I make, the more I learn to improve. I truly believe you find your niche by just making videos and seeing what people are watching the most of.

This is soooo true! The first channel I monetized, I was focused on getting to 100 videos as fast as possible, so I posted 1 video per day, not only did I become monetized in less than 12 months, but I improved with practice which made me a better editor. It was a kids channel in 2019, so we know what happened 🤦♀ But any experience comes with many lessons that can be used moving forward 🎉 Thanks Brian! I’d love to know about how to get started with merch, have you made a video about that?

I think that’s fine, what’s important is to strive to get better and gain more skills that viewers value. editing, lighting, topics, titles, thumbnails … your presence on camera.

You make good points. IMO I think one just needs to be consistent and have content that people are going to learn or be entertained. It is a lot harder to get views compared to 10 years ago.

When an home appraiser comes out to put a value on your home....they run comps. Comparable homes that sold as well as comparable homes that are listed for sale.
Three comps are needed, they will toss out a very low priced home as it doesn't reflect a typical average sale. They will also not use the highest priced home for similar reasons. I'm pretty certain that very attractive girls like Gabi can't really be compared to most RUclips channels.......but it is fun to try.
One thing to consider is there are a whole bunch of really attractive girls that don’t get the results that Gabby does. Another thing to consider is what we focus on, and think about grows if we think we don’t have something and somebody else does that can be a problem.
Do live streams count as uploads? Or does it need an actual long form video I wonder?
I suspect there may be a difference, it would be interesting to know how much if one. Though I guess it would depend on the niche.
either is fine, it’s simply about putting in focused consistent effort over a period of time and always driving to improve. Do that and I believe you’ll find your way on RUclips my friend.
Yes a friend of mine uploaded over 200 videos (in a one week period) and shes now getting over a 1000 subs per day from the event. Its very doable. eg from webinars live seminars youve done etc ...from David in Sydney.

The study makes sense. Usually, 100 videos would get you into YPP (if you are making effort to get bette and watching analytics).

Sure, I don’t think it’s something to be too strict on as as far as as the rules. It’s more about focusing on growing the skills and staying on track with publishing.
So… are the 152 videos all longer form non shorts?.. or including shorts?..
it could be either or both. I think it’s truly important that we strive to improve what truly matters along the way. Things like storytelling, titles, thumbnails editing, our voice, our appearance on camera and more.
I try to have 10K on my second channel (just passed the 3K), going to upload more, specially the shorts, and take the risk to upload a maximum for the search engine (not yet a demand for that kind of video) but in a long term I think that going to pay off.

I made a video in Angeles city i was hoping this would start getting good views..but i got a copyright strike...i have asked RUclips what i have done wrong but they only put me onto a page to read...i have another video for Angeles city and that also has a copyright strike....I have seen a lot of videos just like mine..but i have ads suitability on my videos i won't anything from those videos now ...Am raging with RUclips...am trying to get better but i get strikes 😢

It's also important to recognize that it's not just the quantity of videos that matters, but also the quality of those videos. If I was putting out the same quality of videos as I was in 2016, my channel would not have gotten this far. It's the continual improvement and learning that underlies those 152 videos that is truly at play here
I agree! I have over 700 videos since I started about 7 yrs ago but my channel had no real focus and I didn’t have a proper open or signature outro. Now I do and I’m just 21 subs away from 1000 and all organic. I’m super excited as to what could eventually be 😊

that’s tough and I’m sorry to hear that my friend. Of course this is just a generalization and results are going very some people are going to grow much faster other slower. Do what you can to stay focused on making improvements to what truly matters.
I’ve posted 205 videos on my lego channel and it doesn’t not have 1k subscribers
then I would encourage you to really focus and get honest with yourself as far as where your videos are at, and what you can improve to increase your results. How was your voice, how was your editing, how was your lighting your film, and most importantly your topics. So many things we can focus on and improve to get better results.

Hey Brian, if you’re looking for an interesting story then take a quick look at Saqlain Khan. He uploaded his first video three weeks ago and he’s already at 1.2 million views. Everyone is saying he is the person who broke the RUclips algorithm. Lol.

then I would focus on the things that you can improve in your videos. How was your audio, your voiceover, how are you on camera your topics your thumbnails.
I'm getting so much hate on my other channel its kinda degrading

There's no solid number. I know channels that upload daily and are doing great. One of them believes live streaming holds channels back. Another channel uploads almost daily and complains the YT train left the station years ago, it's back to being a hobby for us. I get the impression they expect 50K+ views per video. Looking at the other Sims channels and views they'd get, it's interesting. Same with every niche.
what matters is the delivery, the voice over and how the youtuber presents on camera. that makes two videos covering the same thing very different.
