Brian, when I saw that title and thumbnail, I knew I was gonna click. I think some people think that just because they put keywords in their titles, that it's gonna help them get more views. They have to realize that you have to still have a great thumbnail and you still have to make great content. You have to rank in search to get seen. And it's even harder to do that the more broad your topic is.

I love this. This year has been my best on YT so far (started in 2021) and it's because I think I've finally begun to understand keyword research and how it can help me get topics, title ideas and thumbnail ideas. Seeing your evidence of how it's still relevent is fantastic. Doing keyword research also makes me feel a little geeky cos I can get pretty deep sometimes and end up with 7 or 8 video ideas. Thanks Brian. This is top stuff as always.

What so many don't understand is that many people use YT as a search engine using search which means keywords are vital. Using good keywords that actually directly link to the topic being uploaded is so important, along with putting in the effort to create a good title and thumbnail. All three work together to give a cliff note version of the video. So many forget that.
This is exactly what Ive been looking for. Search is hard, this will help!

Wow Brian! This video gave me actionable steps to do today! Thank you! Hey funny anecdote...every now and again, I'll share in a video how mounjaro spanked me when I ate something too rich, etc. Then later I will see in my analytics how many people found my video by keywords. I will see mounjaro is one of them I will also be surprised to see spank or spanking too! That always makes me laugh! I will have forgotten that I even said spanking! Ha! So the RUclips algorithm really does listen to every word we say and looks for keywords we don't even realize we are saying!😂😅😊

Isn't it true that keywords still play some role if the video is new. I thought algorithm (AI) treat each video individually?
I have to say Brian that I found this video to be a lot better to watch than some others you have done in recent times. I'm not saying that your other vids were bad. They just weren't my thing. Everyone has different likes and dislikes and no one can please everyone, but for me the way you did this video was a lot better. 👍🏽

I was just saying of the videos I have watched in recent times of Brians I like how this one was presented and delivered more than some others I have watched.

I noticed that some RUclipsrs use less searched keywords and short title and they got thousands of viewers. 😅 Honestly, I don't understand how RUclips Algorithm works in 2024!

Tags, not so much. Keywords, especially in the title can and do help.

Not meaning to disrespect, but why are you not getting views if you're applying these methods you're mentioning?
Ah yes the key words and tags are dead argument. It's part of search which is part of the algorithm along with watch time etc. part of the challenging YT equation. The challenge of what the viewers want in your niche could mean not being you.
