That’s what I was going to say! Why did they have to replace the Sweet Inspirations and all Elvis’s band members!!?? If they digitally remastered the original film which I owned I’d go see that at a theater but why try and improve not only perfection but history itself?
Just back from seeing this at the Edinburgh Playhouse. It was truly outstanding. Whilst the bulk of the projection was from That's The Way It Is, there was a lot from the '68 Comeback Special, other Vegas performances I haven't seen, loads of archive footage from the '50's and many still images presented to illustrate the songs. They even did the Elvis/Lisa Marie duet with Don't Cry Daddy which got the ladies crying I can tell you..... And as for the music, oh my. It was a virtuoso performance and in my view, with the march of time and improvements in sound processing, much, much better than the original. Very high quality and totally, totally flawless. I have to agree with the promo, it is a totally immersive experience. After 10 minutes you forget the format and to quote a cliche, its almost as if you are actually there. I didn't really believe the hype, but it sure as hell happened to me tonight! Gill - it was my Auntie who got me into Elvis 45 years ago. I've told her via Facebook tonight she has to go see this, she will not be disappointed. So, how was the Sheffield gig? Mark

My family and I saw this show in Memphis and all I can say is wow.
I just wish they would do this around the world on a big screen I know a lot of the band members are gone but they could get fill ins so folks that has never seen him in concert would get a idea what it was like the energy unbelievable.
The concert has been to the Uk lots of times. Infact I'm going to see it again next march in Glasgow, can't wait! :)
