I'm 54 and I've been an Elvis fan for 50 years. When I was 4 and old enough to run the stereo I put on a record that had no cover. It was Elvis and it was the music no image, nothing but the music, my Uncle had forgotten it at my parents and I discovered it. My Baby left me, Old Shep, Anyplace is Paradise, So glad you're mine. I'm still listening. What a dude!!!
My friend's mother gave a record player one of the old types looked like a suit case. It had one record in it....little sister by Elvis Presley. I've been singing his songs for thirty nine years now, he died too soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 55. I must have been in 1st or 2nd grade when I first heard Elvis. I was watching TV one night, and a commercial came on for one of those K-Tel compilation albums they sold by mail. And the commercial started with the opening lines of "Hound Dog". And I remember this so well --- I sat up straight like a jack knife, my eyes went wide with amazement, and I turned to my mother and said in astonishment, "Who is THAT?!" And that was it. I was going into 5th grade the summer he died. Our phone started ringing off the hook when all my friends started calling to tell me he had died. That night I went to a Red Sox game, and I kept the ticket stub and wrote "Elvis Died" on it. I still have the stub. When I was in my early 20s my Dad and I made a road trip from Massachusetts to Graceland. I remember we were doing the tour, and we were in a long, tight, packed line of people snaking out past his grave, and when I finally got to his grave I had the sense that something was going on --- something was happening --- but I didn't know what it was. I just had this feeling like a movie star had arrived or something. It was as though there was some new presence that had entered the grave area and there was commotion in the crowd. Then it gradually dawned on me that this event that was happening was that my chest was heaving and I was sobbing. It was as though my body reacted on its own without the knowledge of my conscious mind. It was crazy. Then, one summer when my son was 9 I gave him several options for taking a trip together. I forget what the other two were, but he wanted to go to Graceland. While we were there he said he felt at home there, and felt like he had been there before. R.I.P.
God bless you Estelle..such an amazing and lovely lady! Elvis would be proud! Beautiful, beautiful memories you've given to us all..thank you for that ❤️
Today I'm 55 y.o. I discovered Elvis when I was around 6 y.o with my father (an amateur guitar player who was a fan). I remembered being flabbergasted watching the movie JAILHOUSE ROCK on our new color TV ....for the little girl who loved to dance on her father guitar music...that man on the TV became instantly her "other" IDOL after her father. Since then, both men died, but I'm still remembering both of them with their music.:-D

This is Elvis.... this is the man that some people are saying did hate black people....so i want to know this,.. how can a man who made it big off of black people music, inspiration and God knows what else black.... hated us.... people must stop saying things like that and leave Elvis alone..... the man was for all of us.
Elvis combined black blues with white country. That's progressive. Elvis wasn't just black music alone. His diversity and soul is multi racial. I have studied this subject longer than you've been alive. Elvis's chameleon voice was always changing. Don't try to put elvis into one category, it makes you look silly. White country and black blues came together in the soul diversity and sheer artistry of the king. Today's lesson is on the house.
Most blacks know that elvis was not a racist. Only racist blacks and mentally unstable left wing socialists call elvis a racist. Be careful about ypur Democrat party. They are now run by left wing government control socialists, and they are the enemy of liberty.
Like Barry Gordy said he was the total package. I've always thought the same. Could sing, play the guitar, easy on the eyes, could move, had soul and rhythm everything.

For those who knew him well they all say the same thing abt Elvis. Thank you for this! She’s so sweet
Kev Dean,63 year's Old here,Elvis was everywhere in the sixties and his Gospel music was Incredible!
My friend's mother gave a record player one of the old types looked like a suit case. It had one record in it....little sister by Elvis Presley. I've been singing his songs for thirty nine years now, he died too soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes he did!!! It have us all the love he had to give!!!!😊 You might say us fans were his greatest love!!!
I'm 55. I must have been in 1st or 2nd grade when I first heard Elvis. I was watching TV one night, and a commercial came on for one of those K-Tel compilation albums they sold by mail. And the commercial started with the opening lines of "Hound Dog". And I remember this so well --- I sat up straight like a jack knife, my eyes went wide with amazement, and I turned to my mother and said in astonishment, "Who is THAT?!"
And that was it.
R.I.P.
I had Elvis on 8 track. 😊
Estelle, You were a wonderful singer and performer for all your life. Thank you for these memories and your contribution to the Elvis Presley show. God Bless You and your loved ones
What a blessing, Many would say I was there, But few would say I sang and knew Elvis.
❤
Everyone say's nothing but good things about Elvis. Would that have been a good treat to sing with Elvis..He has a Sweet Sweet Spirit..Elvis You Will NEVER Be FORGOTTEN...
A beautiful touching story and magical moment in history that will never be forgotten. You can feel Elvis’ and the Sweet Inspirations’ spirituality in their music which was gifted to the world.
Amen
God bless her. I would love to sit down and have a cup of tea with her and just listen to her life story. ...
I would have loved to shake Elvis's hand but would love to shake this wonderful vocalist just as much. Much respect to the Sweet Inspirations Elvis's angels...
What a beautiful tribute, I am so blessed to have heard it❤️ Estelle, what beautiful memories you have -thank you for sharing them with us
I had the pleasure of meeting Estelle in Sanford, Florida, Myrna was there too (RIP) and the new Sweet Inspiration addition, we took photos. AMAZING VOICES ..it was delightful the way they talked about Elvis....THEY ADORED HIM!!! THERE IS NOBODY LIKE HIM !!!!…I TOTALLY BELIEVED THEM...
She had tears at the end. Oh Estelle can you please live forever?
Such a nice man in most all ways. He wasn't perfect. He was human
Sweet inspirations were a great part of Elvis music, i really enjoyed seeing 3 beautiful women on stage, was a very special time, once in a lifetime, be well ladies 🙏
Whitney Houston's mom was also once a Sweet Inspiration. MRS Cissy Houston.
Sadly, Ester is the only one living now.
@@AbiNomac Cissy Houston is still alive,, she's one of the Original Sweet Inspirations,, She gave up touring to concentrate on her young family n then to pursue a solo career,, they sang back up for a lot of people,, im glad they sang with Elvis he loved n respected them very much,,
In 1963, then about to give birth to daughter Whitney Houston, she formed the Sweet Inspirations with Doris Troy and niece Dee Dee Warwick. Later, under contract to Atlantic Records, Sylvia Shemwell, Estelle Brown and Myrna Smith form the line-up.
Josie Jones - oh yes, you are correct, Cissy is still with us.
This is Elvis.... this is the man that some people are saying did hate black people....so i want to know this,.. how can a man who made it big off of black people music, inspiration and God knows what else black.... hated us.... people must stop saying things like that and leave Elvis alone..... the man was for all of us.
Right on Raymond. some people just have to divide us. Elvis tried to bring everyone together.
Good health to your Ray
They are now run by left wing government control socialists, and they are the enemy of liberty.
elvis love ever one it hurt him when martin luther king jr was killed thats why elvis had a tribute song to mlk called if i can dream
@@countryjames-h2k Okay, thank you.
A real man of kindness and love for his fellow man.. Elvis ....
He initiated BLACK PEOPLE
Sad 😔Elvis should still be here today , the world would not be such a terrible place with his light back in it
I'm not the King. There's only one King. And that's King Jesus. That's deep🙏🏻
So glad to see others who have same feelings for Elvis. What a special man I pray for his family
Ms. Estelle Brown you are an angel on earth sent to Elvis. ☺️ You have a kind heart.
I'm only 33 and I am just so in love with Elivis his energy his love his kindness. I feel so sorry he was suffering with such an awful addiction.

Like Barry Gordy said he was the total package. I've always thought the same. Could sing, play the guitar, easy on the eyes, could move, had soul and rhythm everything.
