- Let's take a closer look at the first doll in the Ken Couture Collection. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on collecting Ken and other boy dolls. His sunglasses fell out of the box when I was opening him and they didn't make the review. They are shiny chrome with blue lens.

Happy Mother's Day! I do collect some Ken dolls but I recently had to put some to 'storage' as I am running out of space!!! Love Ken Kouture but very expensive as I would have to pay $150CAD as I live in Canada.
$50 is a big difference. He is really pricey I certainly know what you mean about storage. I’m not close to having all of my dolls out and I am running out of room. Of course I keep buying more which doesn’t help.😂Thanks for your comment.🩷

Was so excited to see him in person since I love the Tate face mold on the Looks doll, and this guy did not disappoint! It's so cool he has earrings. He may be my new fave!
I started collecting because of the BTS dolls and especially enjoy male dolls since I think it's more challenging to style them. I love Barbie too, but didn't get the pink collection... intrigued when you mentioned the boxes match. Bet they would look so smart displayed next to each other. Will have to consider getting one now!
I expect to be getting the entire collection of these Kens, can't wait to see the next one! I can't wait to try his clothes on my fave BTS doll, but can't bring him out of box quite yet. Such a great color to display with Memorial Day coming up, so will try to wait until afterwards to open. I appreciate your video as it's helping me unbox vicariously through you so I can maybe make it until then lol!
Thank you so much for your comment! I have the BTS dolls too. My daughter and Sophia are big KPop fans. Boy dolls are more of a challenge to style. I’m always looking for cute clothes for them. I am also looking forward to seeing what other dolls will be in this line. 💙

I do love me some Ken dolls in my collection. I prefer lots of articulation or bend in the knee (like Malibu Ken). This one has amazing clothing and detail. I wish Mattel put that much detail in all their products, like they used to do in the 70's. But there is something about his face mold that does not agree with me. Perhaps is the oversized lips, reminds me too much of the Bratz lips. That aesthetic is not my favorite. But he seems worthy of the money.

I have been collecting Ken's for several years and they are my favorite doll. I impulsively purchased this doll without watching any reviews about him and I was pretty disappointed with this Ken Kouture doll. The hair of my doll is beyond crunchy. I dislike the huge earrings and the sunglasses are a No also. I like his puffer coat and his suit. I wish the pants weren't so high above the ankle and those shoes I plan to replace with the blue shoes from a Ken multi-pack. I know Couture is supposed to be way out there and a little wacky (whimsical?) but I'd rather Not give $100's for it. I am torn about whether to send the doll back or not. I have him next to my 40th Anniversary doll and in my opinion the Kouture Ken is sadly lacking in what to me is Style. But! the 40th Anniversary Ken IS my all time favorite, then the new buff Ken. I liked your review and I like the tone of your voice. I LOVE collecting dolls so I'm sure to be checking back with you later. Thanks again for the review you did a good job.
@@angiemac130 Thank you so much for your comment. I’m excited to see what they will offer in this line in the future. I like the face sculpt and some of the clothing pieces, but he’s not my favorite Ken. $100 is a lot. I try not to be a completionist but I may want all of the dolls in this line. I guess I will have to see what they bring us next. Thank you for the compliment on my voice. When I go through our videos, listening to my own voice is the hardest thing😂. I was very much looking forward to this release back when they announced it, but didn't like the way the doll looks. His lips look botoxed, seeing his face for the first time made me cringe. His clothes are really nice, but he's not worth $100 in my opinion. I ended up not buying him.
Thank you. I wasn’t too sure on this face either. I don’t really think I’m a completionist. However, this is a line I am very interested in and I was afraid that I might regret not getting the first one. I do love his clothes. Thanks so much for sharing your opinion.🫶🏻💙
