I prefer the playsets without the dolls. I don't need any more dolls, so I end up donating them. But it seems such a waste as the world becomes more plastic conscious that Mattel does that. Most of the dolls in the playsets look the same and the donation center is inundated with them. I donate brand new ones with an additional outfit, a pet, and some accessories in a plastic bag to make them more appealing to purchase.

Daisy's earrings are 3 bows in a row. At first I couldn't tell what her earrings were. lol

I heard if the dolls keens are hard to move you can do 2 things. Put the keen in hot water or use a hair dryer on the keen to make the keen more soft to move.

All 3 dolls look amazing!! I think my fav out of the 3 is Daisy.

Beautiful doll! The quality of this line is amazing. As many doll collectors, organization is an issue. What has worked for me (for now) was to add shelves and plastic risers which allows to put more dolls on the shelves. I also purchased a glass door cabinet (4 glass panels) that showcases all of my vintage Barbie dolls. I used to display my doll reference books on my shelves but they would take a lot of space so I store them now into a closed cabinet. Lastly, I display the dolls by era. On one of the shelves I have all of my vintage repros, on another my 80's-90's era dolls and so on. I think that it makes the shelves look more organized. Have a great week!

I bought her, too! I'm a little surprised she is still available, but am glad to have her. And I think $75 is quite reasonable for the quality. Back in 2000 when the silkstone line debuted, the first few dolls had only basic 5-point articulation and were dressed only in lingerie, and their hair was a sleek but simple ponytail. They retailed for $40! Adjusted for inflation, that's $72. Looked at that way, in 2024 for only three dollars more we get articulated dolls with elaborate hairdos and fashions. What a deal!

I love your video! I got the redhead holiday 2024 Barbie from Walmart! She was my favorite out of the lineup! I do also want to get the Teresa one and possibly the Millie! The holiday Barbies are always my favorite each year.

The Happy Holidays Barbie line debuted in 1988. I tried to find the original retail price, but had no luck. Still, it's hard to imagine them being priced any lower than $20 which, adjusted for inflation, would be $52, slightly higher than the $45 they now go for. I only have a few holiday-themed (not Happy Holidays) Barbies from the '90s, because their vintage look really appeals to me. I don't plan to get this year's doll, but if I did, I would definitely get the redhead as you did. I like that Sophia doesn't hesitate to respectfully voice her opinion, even when it differs from yours!

She is really pretty but I like the red hair Odile sculpt from 2022 even more. I was lucky enough to find her at Ross last year.

Hi NayNay and Sophia, thanks for this timely video! I definitely want to get at least one of the variants this year even though I would love to own all of them! Mattel used to make life a lot less expensive when they only released one Happy Holidays Barbie at Christmas. With all the hair tones and skin colours it makes it much more difficult to choose. Mattel Australia on their wevsite have just launched all the variants except the redhead. She will not be available here unfortunately which means turning to the pricey secondary market if we really want one. Out of the remaining four, I personally cannot make up my mind at this point. I will probably get the blonde first and depending on finances, the Asian and then.... Oh, who am I kidding, I'll buy all of them if I can find them!! Thanks again, great video you two!!

I have been collecting Ken's for several years and they are my favorite doll. I impulsively purchased this doll without watching any reviews about him and I was pretty disappointed with this Ken Kouture doll. The hair of my doll is beyond crunchy. I dislike the huge earrings and the sunglasses are a No also. I like his puffer coat and his suit. I wish the pants weren't so high above the ankle and those shoes I plan to replace with the blue shoes from a Ken multi-pack. I know Couture is supposed to be way out there and a little wacky (whimsical?) but I'd rather Not give $100's for it. I am torn about whether to send the doll back or not. I have him next to my 40th Anniversary doll and in my opinion the Kouture Ken is sadly lacking in what to me is Style. But! the 40th Anniversary Ken IS my all time favorite, then the new buff Ken. I liked your review and I like the tone of your voice. I LOVE collecting dolls so I'm sure to be checking back with you later. Thanks again for the review you did a good job.

Another fun unboxing! She is cute. I don’t collect Monster High dolls but I am contemplating the Draculaura doll and Goreganizer beauty kit with accessories. I am hoping to get her on sale. I live in Canada and our toy stores don’t usually have a wide selection of dolls so shipping fees can add up when you are buying online... I always enjoy watching your videos. 😊

Thank you so much for the review! This series of dolls has just landed here in Australia and I do really like the Amsterdam doll though I haven't purchased her yet. The only other two I've seen in this series are Paris and Italy. I haven't seen the Hawaiian doll instore. The accessories that come with the Amsterdam doll do remind me of the dolls of yesteryear, especially the original Dolls of the World series where the packaging actually taught you something about the doll's country of origin. I love all the tiny accessories (even the cutout ones that were part of the doll's box on those older dolls). Great video, keep up the good work!
