Back in 2000 when the silkstone line debuted, the first few dolls had only basic 5-point articulation and were dressed only in lingerie, and their hair was a sleek but simple ponytail. They retailed for $40! Adjusted for inflation, that's $72. Looked at that way, in 2024 for only three dollars more we get articulated dolls with elaborate hairdos and fashions. What a deal!

Beautiful doll! The quality of this line is amazing. As many doll collectors, organization is an issue. What has worked for me (for now) was to add shelves and plastic risers which allows to put more dolls on the shelves. I also purchased a glass door cabinet (4 glass panels) that showcases all of my vintage Barbie dolls. I used to display my doll reference books on my shelves but they would take a lot of space so I store them now into a closed cabinet. Lastly, I display the dolls by era. On one of the shelves I have all of my vintage repros, on another my 80's-90's era dolls and so on. I think that it makes the shelves look more organized. Have a great week!

@@naynay-sophia I use the clear plastic drawer organizers as risers. I like the rectangular size as you can display 3 to 4 dolls on each of them.
