Not really, although there loan words, the chinese languages and korean share no other similarities in grammar or syntax. They are completely different languages.
Yes but not really: yes because we do have many chinese brought words (credit is given where its due!), but not really because first, even those vocabs are pronounced so differently to the point where they’re unrecognizable to chinese ears (and vice versa), and secondly because knowing many vocabs whilst it does help, it doesnt automatically enables you to acquire a langauge as whole- its the grammar that counts (which explains why its not uncommon to see koreans fluent in japanese and vice versa, those two languages sharing similar grammatical structures)
