yeh in regards to if it matters that Maddie and Nate were broken up (for only 3 weeks btw), I'm on the side of it makes no difference lmao what Cassie did was foul. But the worst part of it is that it wasn't just Maddie's ex, this man was so abusive in that relationship and Cassie knows everything that he has done to Maddie. So it's just another level of betrayal like spitting in the face of Maddie's trauma from being with Nate. But also, i think it does fit with Cassies character to go down this path bc even since season 1, they made it clear her daddy issues manifest in a way where she has super low self esteem and basically lives to get validation from men. With Nate giving her attention at a low point in her life, it tracks that she would do this and double down on it bc in her mind, without a man's attention, she has no value. She's like another version of hitting rock bottom this season. We see it with Rue and the drugs, but for Cassie's issues, this is her rock bottom arc where she burns all her bridges (including what little self worth/esteem she has) to indulge in her addiction to "love" or desperation to "be loved". It is sad and frustrating to witness tho lmao
the fact Maddy and Nate weren’t even broken up for a month yet… and they all know Maddy and Nate broke up a lot and got back together so when they’re “broken up” they’re never rly broken up… so yeah Cassie getting with him is disgusting behavior

I stand by the fact that the only person Nate loved is Jules. You see how he is with Cassie and Maddie. Then he’s so sweet to Jules.
