Burrow went to two AFC championship games. Bengals were trash the years before Joe B got there. Cincinnati is my hometown so I know how hard it is to win there with that ownership. The Ravens played 14 games against an opponent that was .500 or better. They won 10 of them. The reason they gave it to Lamar was because it was clear that the guy with the stats, Dak, had those stats due to a significantly weaker schedule. Dak beat 1 team with a winning record all season and piled up numbers vs bad teams. Similarly, Joe Burrow has beat 1 team with a winning record. While Lamar has played the 4th hardest schedule in the NFL this season. Allen's schedule is 21st hardest.
MVP isn’t about the basic stats. Yes the stats always come into play… it’s the advanced stats that tell us how a player really plays. TWP, PFF rating, avg. receiver separation to gauge difficulty of throws… and Lamar loses to both Allen AND Burrow in all of those categories.

@nicolaswalsh5651 Last year, Lamar Jackson won MVP because he played the hardest schedule in NFL history and ended the season with the best record in the NFL. The Ravens played 14 games against an opponent that was .500 or better. They won 10 of them.
The reason they gave it to Lamar was because it was clear that the guy with the stats, Dak, had those stats due to a significantly weaker schedule. Dak beat 1 team with a winning record all season and piled up numbers vs bad teams.
Similarly, Joe Burrow has beat 1 team with a winning record. While Lamar has played the 4th hardest schedule in the NFL this season. Allen's schedule is 21st hardest.
Kirk Cousins would regularly throw for 5000 yards a season and his teams lose. That's Joe Burrow this season.

MVP isn’t about the basic stats. Yes the stats always come into play… it’s the advanced stats that tell us how a player really plays. TWP, PFF rating, avg. receiver separation to gauge difficulty of throws… and Lamar loses to both Allen AND Burrow in all of those categories.
