Very new to rug hooking. In fact, I haven't even started my first piece yet. There are no classes offered where I live, so I will be learning via RUclips and I learned some finishing techniques watching your videos. I will revisit them when I actually start my project. P.S. I like your music.
Thank you for this informative video. It would have been nice to see how the corded ribbon was folded and put together. Being new to rug hooking, that part wasn't clear to me. And regarding music in a learning setting, I agree with others, it distracts.
hi in your fantastic video ( love your comments) you mention your blog, but I can't find a link to it... Hope you still have it because I would love to follow your projects :-) Best regards Isabella from denmark
Thank you for sharing this wealth of information on rug finishing. I use Chibi Jumbo Bent Tip Tapestry Needles (also used to weave in yarn ends for knitted and crocheted items) and the yarn pulls through the backing easy as pie. My one request is that you turn off the music; it's very distracting, to the point where I almost quit watching. Glad I didn't though, because the content of the video is awesome.
Nice tutorial & studio. This is an old-world wool art -- thanks for keeping textile craftsmanship alive.
Great video! You and your mom are so cute together.

This is my favorite way to finish too.
The corded one
You guys are so cute. Thanks for the helpful instruction, and I quite like the background music! :)

Any recommendations re type of yarn to use in whipping
What is folded over? The canvas or rug binding? Did you iron the "edge" too?

how do you put on the border of latchhook mats?????????????????
Wish the edge material was in a lighter color. Very difficult to see, for these old eyes.
Hi Isabella, you can see my blog here: theoldtatteredflag.blogspot.com Thanks very much for watching!
I liked your videos, please leave the music off, it distracts.
Thanks Therese. We love music and always have it on, never had a complaint before.
I agree, the music/noise in the background is very distracting.
PS.. I like mom. :)

The music is annoying, sorry, it distracts from your video.
After finishing...do I have to cut the extra wool to give shape of the picture ...what we did by latch Hook?
