The Fat bob was the first bike I rode when I got my full licence, I loved it and said it was the bike I was gonna buy next, the guys at harley got me to ride all their other bikes, I ended back on the fat bob after a few weeks of riding each bike because I thought it was the best, it is 100% my next bike ill be buying
My first bike. a 2020 Fat Bob. Wow… What an awesome bike. I felt like the coolest bloke on the road🤣. Bassani 2into1 exhaust. Stage 1 upgrade only though. Tail tidy. Changed foot pegs etc. Grips and levers change. Screaming Eagle heavy breather. Man this bike looks sick. Love the Fatbob!!!! And this 2024 looks bloody amazing…
Hahaha I totally understand that feeling mate they are so cool. Very nice mate, sounds like you've got all the perfect mods done to her 👌 thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Ive got an 18 fatbob with a stage2 set up and i put the harley davidson windshield on it ,, the only down side for me was the fuel tank with 13 litres, i always carry a fuel bottle which is 1.5 litres or a 5 litre plastic jerry can if im touring.....a great bike and a spot on review of it. Love youre channel
Cheers for the feedback mate, awesome to hear from a fatbob owner ! Ahh yeah I thought it might be abit annoying with the tank size. You've got it under control though I see haha. Good to hear you love it, I'd definitely enjoy owning one too ! Appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
With regards to a windshield, one option is to do what I've done (which would work well with the Fat Bob and any other model with tank-mounted gauges), and that is to fit a 10 litre plastic ammo box in front of the risers (above the headlight) with a silicone rubber Grunt Versa strap from Bunnings. It's just a matter of cutting 2 vertical slots in the rear panel of the plastic ammo box to pass the strap through, then strap it to the bike (a new take on the concept of "strap-on" haha). This provides plenty of storage for essentials, which can be accessed while sitting on the bike (eg, take off your sunnies at dusk, open the box & put the sunnies in the box without getting off the bike). There's no mods needed for the bike, so no drilling or bolting anything. The box can come off & attached in seconds, plus has a carry handle. The box works quite well as a windscreen and keeps a lot of wind off your upper body at highway speeds. What I've described is what I've got on my Softail Slim ("Hollywood" bar makes it easy for mounting). Great review Mate. You can see that you loved this bike, the smile on your face tells it all. Must admit I'd loved to take one out & own one. One day. Keep up the great vlogs!
My first bike is a nightster 975 special been riding for 3 months wanna switch to this next summer. U guys think that’s a good idea? just looking for more power lol
Hmmm I thought they were only a few hp different and the nightster is a fair bit lighter... depends what you find more comfortable mate. It's all personal preference! You can work the nightster and make it an absolute weapon.... that's also an option haha. (Options are endless) thanks for watching 🤙
Thanks mate, honestly didn't even notice it so that must be a good thing haha. I'll try and take more notice next time but I'd say if it was bad I would of picked up on it. Hope that helps & thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I'm literally just about to trade in my Low Rider ST (fast Johnnie) for a Fat Bob tomorrow morning. I really prefer the ergonomics of the Fat Bob. it just feels better
Oh wow, that's bloody awesome mate. Very interesting, thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy the fat bob !!! Absolutely loved riding it. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Cheers mate, I'd still go with the low rider ST personally because I think I'd be able to do more kms and I like the wind protection from the fairing ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Seen your bike at Sunshine Coast Harley yesterday when I was in there. Was hoping to meet you in side but you must of been out test riding. Keep up the good work on the vids mate🤟.
Oh bugger, sorry about that. I was out for a couple of hours. I'll be at the next bike night at the station on the 13th of July. I'm sure I'll cya there 😁 thank you i appreciate that and thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I bloody love the fatbobs mate, definitely a mad looking bike ! Yeah I'm just comparing to the other bikes haha being picky. The braking is bloody awesome, loved it ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I like older style harleys as you know, but I do like the torque on that beast, you could not stop smiling and that is what riding is all about. Until next time outlawman😎😉
Yeah bloody oath ! The older ones have abit more character that's for sure. Haha that's very true, I did not stop smiling on that fatbob, so much fun ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Hey Matt love the new fatbob looks tuff I also ride with a mate that's got a 2010 fatbob same looking bike as you have but doesn't have the screen or pannier bags I also hope you get some new gloves without holes in them keep riding stay safe
Hey mate, definitely agree with you. Very stuff looking bike ! Oh that's awesome, the dyna fatbob are bloody under rated. Haha I do need to get some new ones don't I 🤣 Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙

The videos I’ve been waiting for 😂👌 yew, love this bike and the street bob, was what I was tossing up between when I brought mine but went with the street bob due to more customisation options to tailer to myself and price obviously
Yeeeew !!! Sorry it took so long haha. Yeah I can definitely understand that. I'm keen to give the street bob and crack and see how I like it. Just looking at it I feel it would be a comfier and more relaxed option. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Great video, I love this bike I currently ride a Honda monkey I want to keep it but I wanted a bigger bike for bigger rides and the fat Bob is my hearts choice I haven’t bought one yet but this was the bike I decided on or an Indian scout bobber which is considerably less money. Other than fuel, regular servicing and registration etc what would be the average yearly maintenance expense on these?
Cheers mate, oh wow that would be very very different haha. I'd like to test out a monkey bike some day ! It's really hard to say about other maintenance costs. For example my harley is old and I've only had to spend money on a new battery and a earth cable breaking and my bike is old. I'd assume the new ones would just be servicing as you stated. The fatbob doesn't have all the big techy screens so alot less to go wrong there too ! Hope that mates at all. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Oh that's awesome mate, glad I could do the bike justice 😁 oh wicked mate, did you have issues with the old one ? The power of the new one was addictive haha. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Super review Matt but I wish you had hated it . I am so glad my local dealer is now 50 miles because if I go try one that will be bad news. I am now 3 months into my 2016 Fat Bob and only several hundred miles due to the weather but I love it .
Thanks mate, hahaha sorry about that... definitely loved it unfortunately 😅 for longer kms I think our models are better. Abit more relaxed and stretched out. Glad you're enjoying your fatbob, bloody awesome bikes !!!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Hey man, best review I've seen on this bike and you kill it with your great enthusiasm and attitude. Love it. Not a moment boring. Im loving this bike now because of your review but if i had to say 2 things i dont relly like are the tires, I'd prefer street tires rather than these (sceambler) types and im not ceazy about the rear fender, looks like its missing a piede lol. I think its to short. Jyst my 2 cents. I wanted a fat boy but now im not to sure anymore. What would you choose between the 2? Thanks again man, loved your vud and subscribed and gave u a thumbs up . Ride safe ❤
Oh wow thanks so much mate that's a big statement ! Also I apologise for the late reply. Definitely agree with you on the tyres idk why they do that 🤣 it's not an offroad bike lol. Between the 2 I'm definitely going the fatbob hands down. The main reason being the handling, yes the fatboy looks cool and is iconic but I'm a sucker for the fatbob look and how it performs. Hope that helps mate, and thank you for the support 🧡🖤🤙
Ahhh man, I really love the look of the fatbob hey, it's unique in my eyes but then again the rocket is also. The power of the rocket is hard to not love but in saying that where can you use all the power without losing your lisence 😅🤣 that's a hard choice.... for more soul and character and feel I'm going to fatbob. If you want more speed and something to jump start your heart go the rocket 🤣 Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley Great answer bud. I'm in Scotland too so I think you've made my mind up for me. The Rocket I'd have for two minutes and pick up enough performance points to lose my license. Plus the Bob is about 6k cheaper. Love your content bud. Ride safe down there.
@LesterPaul58 that's exactly right mate, and the fatbob you can throw around abit easier too has more than enough power! Bloody good choice mate I'm sure you'll love it 🤙 ride safe and thanks for the support
What issue is that mate? I haven't even heard about it so must not be too bad then. I'll do some research and see what I can find. I'm personally a twin cam fan anyway 😅 the m8 is a weapon though. Thanks for watching 🤙
Cheers mate, yeah very very frustrating mate. Idk what's going on with it... back to the drawing board ! Gotta get it sorted. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I was looking at buying a 2009 Fat Bob today ... But that has a bigger engine and more modern looking.. That looks good though .. I would love to have cruise control too lol and would love to see how those headlights are at night Certainly goes well mate ..
My fatbob is an 08/09 ! Did you give it a test ride ? If so how did you like it ? Yeah I wish I could some how ride them all at night also haha. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley No mate .. I bought a 2013 Fat Bob .. Would like to see you ride and give your opinion if you want .. Thinking of putting Apes on it, no more than 12", which is what I have on my other bike
@Wartai oh okay nice mate ! I think all that's different is a 103 and the rear lights isn't it ? Oh nice, the apes would be cool ! Seen a few around. Definitely make it tip in easy low speeds etc. I like the look of them on fatbobs too.
I read that they've discontinued the Fat bob in America for 2024? Thats the only thing putting me off buying one in the UK, is will it hold its value. And that theres no traction control with all that torque!
Oh wow, I didn't even hear about that. Honestly I didn't have an issues but I didn't dump the clutch or anything either. It held on really well even on the 0-100 and I gave it a fair crack. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Haha cheers mate ! LOL youtube money ? What's that 🤣 be a long time before I earn any sort of decent money I think !! But I can dream for now mate, all this support is definitely helping so thank you ! I haven't done the sport glide yet so thanks for the recommendation and thanks for watching as always 🤙🧡🖤🤙
Tyres ... the OEM fitment should have been Metzeler Cruisetecs. The OEM zorst should have been the TBR 2-into-1 and the 'tail UN-tidy' should have been only offered at a MIDAS store.
I test rode a bone stock Softail Fat Bob so didn't get the sweet Two Bros pipe spund. Definitely felt the compactness, so was wondering how you'd go on that! There's a lot of good stuff going on, but I prefer the look of the Low Rider ST if we're talking Softail M8s, otherwise our Dyna Fatties. Looks like you had a swell time out there brother!
Ahhh bugger ! Yeah I definitely agree with you there bro. The low rider ST is still St the top of my list for bikes I would buy next. Wish I could afford one !!!! Glad I wasn't the only one that felt like it was abit short ! Thanks for watching as always bro 🧡🖤🤙
Yeah I imagine the import fees and taxes etc etc etc all adds onto the price. Then also the mark up for them to make $ 😭 what do they go for over there? Also thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
That would be cool, I've seen a few with t bars also ! I don't mind the standard bars too much though. But it's personal preference isn't it haha. Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
I've been through about 5 now and they all seem to be crap even the "good" ones recommended on RUclips and Google lol. I'm constantly trialing new ones. Thanks for the feedback hopefully found a decent one soon. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
That's fair enough mate, I guess they are made in Thailand 😅🤣 each to their own. I just like the led light. Prefer it with the road warrior fairing on there. I don't know much about exhausts apart from the sound mate so I'm not qualified on that subject hahaha. I'll have to do more research. Cheers mate, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Where did they stop that mate ? Definitely a 2024 model, was on the tag but can fact check on the harley website too 😁 comes in the billiard Gray and vivid black 🤙 thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley the Fatbob is not on the website for 24, you have to click on 23 to see it. The model was discontinued after the 23 model year. To be far, that may not be the case outside of Us
It's definitely not comparable to adventure bikes 😅 I try to review them and compare them to other cruiser's. don't even feel the bumps on the road with an adv bike !

Question. If money was no barrier.........Fat Bob or Rocket Storm?
Ahhh man, I really love the look of the fatbob hey, it's unique in my eyes but then again the rocket is also. The power of the rocket is hard to not love but in saying that where can you use all the power without losing your lisence 😅🤣 that's a hard choice.... for more soul and character and feel I'm going to fatbob. If you want more speed and something to jump start your heart go the rocket 🤣
Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley Great answer bud. I'm in Scotland too so I think you've made my mind up for me. The Rocket I'd have for two minutes and pick up enough performance points to lose my license. Plus the Bob is about 6k cheaper. Love your content bud. Ride safe down there.
@LesterPaul58 that's exactly right mate, and the fatbob you can throw around abit easier too has more than enough power!
Bloody good choice mate I'm sure you'll love it 🤙 ride safe and thanks for the support
I love my Fatbob.Ive got the A.P.E stage 2. Its a 2021
Bloody awesome bike mate !!! Oh wow that would be a bloody wild machine haha. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Was umming and rrrring about my first brand new Harley. You have just made my mind up. Grouse video cheers
Heck yeah man, glad I could help ! Such an awesome bike. Enjoy the bike & Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I worry about the undisclosed oil issue in the m8. love these bikes but until the m8 gets some r&d ill stick with my 48
What issue is that mate? I haven't even heard about it so must not be too bad then. I'll do some research and see what I can find. I'm personally a twin cam fan anyway 😅 the m8 is a weapon though. Thanks for watching 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley oil sump issue. Just google m8 oil issue. my friend had the same issue and had to get rid of his bike at 1k miles
ill be honest I'm probably going to buy a 2024 soon
Bloody oath mate !!! Awesome choice 😍im bloody jealous haha. Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
Cool vid mate, shame about the audio but shit happens. They're a sick lookin bike for sure and sounded awesome. Love ya work!
I would love to have cruise control too lol and would love to see how those headlights are at night
Certainly goes well mate ..
@@Gnarly_Harley yea a 103, seems to have enough grunt for what I need.. good on the highway..
@Wartai definitely mate ! Mines the 96 and I think it goes hard as !!! Loves the highway don't they. Very cruisey
Tough looking bike lots of ponies and no weight makes for fun fun fun 😎🤙🏻
Cheers Bert, bloody lots of fun that's for sure. Crazy how much difference 50kgs can make ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Id like slightly higher bars but its beautiful regardless
That's fair mate, I think I'm used to lower bars haha. They do look awesome with higher bars on them for sure. Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
That bike is MAD!🔥
Definitely agree !! Had so much fun on this bike, would love to own one. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I know right one day I want to own one to and your video was awesome 😎
@@ljwp1744 thank you
Softails rock 👍👍👍
Yeah it was bloody awesome mate ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Why didn't harley put the 117 on the fatbob it's most nimble and sporty one of the softail lineup...?!?
Mate !!!! I always ask the same question... I don't understand. Still goes like a rocket but the 117 would be even better. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley yeah make absolutely no sense to me...🤔🤦♂️
13:10 he read all of our minds 😈
Hahaha 😅🤣 because my mind go straight there too 😅 thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I read that they've discontinued the Fat bob in America for 2024? Thats the only thing putting me off buying one in the UK, is will it hold its value. And that theres no traction control with all that torque!
Oh wow, I didn't even hear about that. Honestly I didn't have an issues but I didn't dump the clutch or anything either. It held on really well even on the 0-100 and I gave it a fair crack. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Ohh mate it’s a beauty 😍😍 it looks more my style of Harley. Sounds sweet 👍👌
Cheers mate, it's definitely a cracking looking bike that's for sure !!!
Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Nice bike mate awesome vlog
Cheers mate, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Has you written all over it, spend all that RUclips money and buy it. It is definitely a sweet looking ride. Did you test ride the sport glide?
Haha cheers mate ! LOL youtube money ? What's that 🤣 be a long time before I earn any sort of decent money I think !! But I can dream for now mate, all this support is definitely helping so thank you ! I haven't done the sport glide yet so thanks for the recommendation and thanks for watching as always 🤙🧡🖤🤙
Tyres ... the OEM fitment should have been Metzeler Cruisetecs. The OEM zorst should have been the TBR 2-into-1 and the 'tail UN-tidy' should have been only offered at a MIDAS store.
Haha bloody oath mate !!! Definitely agree with you there. Think it would look even tuffer with the cruisetecs on it !
@@Gnarly_Harley The handing from the Cruistecs (especially the front) make for a better ride and neutral handling.
Nicely done!
Cheers, thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I like the look of these latest fatbobs, but you absolutely have to change up the rear end and pipes. Stock is pretty ugly! Great vid again mate!
I agree with you on that mate, wicked looking bikes but yes haha definitely have to do the pipes and tow bar delete 🤣🤣 thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Try to get your hands on a road king, I want your opinion!
I'm still trying !! I promise haha. I can't seem to get a hold of one. Hopegully soon ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Could you review the latest ktm super duke.
Oooh that would be a wild ride haha, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching 🤙
Two Brothers Racing exhaust is the go
Mate it bloody sounds cracker doesn't it! Thanks for watching as always david 🧡🖤🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley There was a great sound clip on my latest vid of my upgraded pipe in the country
Review the Chieftain Darkhorse 👍
Oh, very interesting! I might have to go into indian and see if they will let me do that. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Good town bike.
Yeah bloody oath mate ! Cracking bike for that. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
The head light has got to go
Haha I didn't think it was too bad mate, each to their own though. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Mean bike
Bloody loved it mate !!! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Man you get screwed on prices there
Yeah I imagine the import fees and taxes etc etc etc all adds onto the price. Then also the mark up for them to make $ 😭 what do they go for over there?
Also thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Love the bike but the handlebars look too low and wide. Needs risers with moto bars 🤪
That would be cool, I've seen a few with t bars also ! I don't mind the standard bars too much though. But it's personal preference isn't it haha. Thanks for watching 🧡🖤🤙
Low and wide works, go ride one mate.
@@charliebaker3389 my favourite! 😁
Breakout or fat bob peeps?
I prefer the fatbov due to the better handling, the breakout looks cooler but the fatbob is Definitely a better all rounder 🤙
@@Gnarly_Harley noice, really enjoy ur vids. Thank you
Gnarly try test riding Honda monkey ha ha great bike great video keep it real
Haha that would be an interesting test ride. Maybe one day if I can find one lol. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Maaaate😂🤛
Maaaaate !!!! What's wrong ? Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
Invest in a good microphone for your videos, you sound really far away, good review btw, cheers
I've been through about 5 now and they all seem to be crap even the "good" ones recommended on RUclips and Google lol. I'm constantly trialing new ones. Thanks for the feedback hopefully found a decent one soon. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
I still think the headlight set up is a cheesy plastic look. The tbr exhaust does not look like a performance pipes. Pipe length, poor chamber design.
Nufin wrong m8 just givin ya a fist bump😁always get a grin outta ya
Ooooh gotcha haha back at ya mate. Cheers for that, glad you enjoy the vids ! Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
They stopped making the Fatbob in 23...
To be far, that may not be the case outside of Us
@ragingtyga oh okay yeah I was referring to the AUS website my apologies. We definitely have 2024 models in Australia, straight out of Thailand lol 😅
Yeah, nah, yeah nah, yeah, nah, yeah, nah, nah, nah, nah
Hahaha it does be like that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
rides way to stiff and hard, zero plushness, I am moving to 1300 gs
It's definitely not comparable to adventure bikes 😅 I try to review them and compare them to other cruiser's. don't even feel the bumps on the road with an adv bike !
Can you imagine having a job as useless as the guy who designs factory exhausts 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha 😅🤣 very true! It's probably less than 1% of people keen the standard exhaust lol
Buy a Honda motorcycle. Your wallet will thank you.
Would love to have all models !!! I love any bike motorcycle man. My harley has Been nothing but reliable! Although it is second hand. I definitely can't afford a new one haha. Thanks for watching 🧡 🖤 🤙
