Lavender, I was wondering if it would be okay if I could make an animated series based off the no ones cool in middle school, of course the name of the series would be a tad bit different! If you're quite ok with this, I will make sure to give you credits for the series! (for the idea of it and the inspiration for me to make it a series of course!)
Actually, that first game idea you had already exists! It's called Haunt the House: Terrortown. The idea of the game is essentially the same as yours: you're a cute little ghost and your house is up for sale, and your goal is to scare all the potential buyers out of your house by haunting various objects and causing some mayhem. I used to play it all the time with my sister when we were little, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me! Thanks for inadvertently digging that memory back up for me.
This is so neat! Game development has always fascinated me so I really enjoyed watching this. It's amazing what you were able to get done in such little time!
I think the fact that the game takes place in a Victorian setting with Victorian medicine ties in perfectly with the theme of delaying the inevitable. For most of human history, curing illnesses and treating injuries was more a matter of luck. Treatments could be nonsensical, dangerous, misguided, partially successful, or surface level. The ones that did actually work often were not enough in the more severe cases, so medicine in the old times was often merely delaying the inevitable rather than fully curing a person. Had it been set in a modern setting, it would not have made much sense why the treatments were not working well enough. However, back then curing anemia with some iron powder could provide a temporary relief, but would not have addressed the underlying issue of the entire body slowly shutting down from lead poisoning, malnutrition, genetic disorders, deadly infectious disease, or what have you. For how little time you had to make this game, the history it depicts ties in with the theme really well!
Well it still is luck if you respond well to treatment or not…like the death rate for a lot of the most common cancers is lower than it’s ever been but ofc we all know lots of people still die bcs cancer isn’t just one illness it’s like a thousand different ones and it’s literally all unique to the patient bcs of our own cells and genetics and mutations and all that crap…I remember being told I had a quote on quote GOOD cancer (as if thats even a thing bruh, rly wish child oncologists wouldn’t lie to their patients like im not 5 I deserve the truth) anyway that was so wrong I have a rare type of meningioma that only has one known successful treatment that ONLY works if you don’t have any spreading so when I relapsed after under a year out of treatment and had 4 different tumors I was fucked from the start even when they continued to lie to me in different ways like saying I wouldn’t need to worry about pains and they’d cover it (Such a cruel awful lie…I’m in pain 24/7 my life is awful and agonizing it’s….it’s literally torture haha c”:). Anyway point is most illness is still luck based and you’ll still become terminal and die even if ur a teenager with “good cancer” with no other issues or allergies B’’)
@@Gumdropsss yeah unfortunately it’s more of “good” relatively speaking because there’s also a disconnect between people and healthcare and medical knowledge in general. So when it’s stated to be “good” it’s more in the sense of “well we have sometimes that works x% of the time based on the cells having (insert receptors) but if the cancer cells don’t have them then the treatment doesn’t work… “ and you are correct cancer is a multifaceted disease state. Sorry I work in pharmacy so I see both sides of this issue. Doctors who don’t tell people enough information or flat out withhold information and then patients who well have a lot going on and it’s just there is no single way to describe how it is for them. And the fact that cancer is extremely painful. >__> concentrated morphine, extended release morphine plus immediately release for breakthrough pain, I’ve seen a lot of treatments. Delaying the enviable immediately made me think of, I forget the name for it (if there even is one,) a sort of self-sabotage I suffer from that's apparently really common. Typically found in parents, adults and/or people pleasers, some people will put off sleeping even if they're tired and they want to, because they see night as their _only_ true "personal time" because everyone else is asleep and they no longer have to worry about tending to their daytime routine.
That first idea with the ghost girl was so cute! I remember playing a very similar game all the time when I was younger. You played as a little ghost whose house was being used for a party (I think). The first concept about the ghost girl haunting the house trying to scare away potential buyers reminds me so much of this flash game my friends and I would play in elementary school called haunt the house! It’s pretty similar where you’re a little ghost guy and you would try to scare all 20 family members out of the house by haunting items. The scarier the atmosphere, the more extreme haunts you could do. At a calm atmosphere, you could maybe rock a painting which is only sometimes noticed and mildly scary but at a horrifying atmosphere, you could change the painting to a completely different one with sound effects and everything! You had to be careful though because if you made the family too scared they’d jump out a window instead of running out of the house which gave you a penalty. So yeah a pretty dark game as a concept but it’s graphics were really cute so yknow…
Oh my goodness, this made me remember playing this game with my friends! I’m not sure how I could’ve forgot considering now that I’m looking back it I had so much fun! This concept almost reminds me of like a reverse fran bow situation where you’re the doctor to a sickly child, overall if it was expanded this could be really cool!
NO! NO! NO! Many people say I am sick in the head. NOOOO!!!! I don't believe them. But there are so many people commenting this stuff on my videos, that I have 1% doubt. So I have to ask you right now: Do you think I am sick in the head? Thanks for helping, my dear fa
I would imagine the game to be like Needy Streamer Girl in terms of how the gameplay is done + what energy the game is supposed to give (aesthetic wouldn't really be glitchy though, instead being early internet era-inspired.)
Honestly if haley ever ends up remaking the game I think a tiny lil animation of the boy falling over for the death screen would be soooo so cutee!! :3
Duuude I'm a comic artist who has a lot of game ideas, but game development is such an extremely foreign concept to me that I could never participate in an event like this (at least not alone). I have mad respect for anyone who can whip out a game in such a short time frame, and your concept for the jam theme was really cool (I also love your claw machine idea so much and I desperately want that to be a real thing now lol, I'm obsessed)
There are actually game jams where people participate in teams (it may even be the norm). And your skills could fit in very well. For example, engineers may not really have much design talent, or designers may not be good at keeping a consistent story in mind, etc. So it's actually more the rule than the exception that team members only bring one aspect of expertise. But they're all passionate about games, and I've heard really positive stories about the experience from people who participated. To me it's especially that mixed bag team dynamic that sounds like so much fun.
@@RadishTheFool Thank you so much for your reply, it was really encouraging to read! I love the idea of mixed bag teams where everyone is contributing their own unique tastes and opinions to make something with a lot of character
@@ellebastonart That's awesome. 😁 Disclaimer, I've never participated myself. So I'm not a qualified source of information. But I'll write down some promising starting points below. I know GameMakersToolkit has a yearly game jam, those always sound really cool. So it's surely inspiring to watch videos about the ones he's had so far. And I'm sure there are others out there. Also, I once watched several Drawfee episodes about them taking part in a game jam. They were super enthousiastic about the whole experience, but especially about working with other passionate creative people.
This is impressive, making a game with a game alone can be hard, 72 hours is impressive. It came out great! I love the visuals and how everything came together.
You do knoe she just did the art right? It wasn't done alone, its almost impossible for someone to get this quality of work done as their very first game on their own
This game ended up being so cute, I love it! Your idea with the ghost girl reminds me of an old flash game I used to play called Haunt the House too :3
OMG the game turned out so good especially considering it was made in only three days. It would be cool to see her do a challenge similar to this except with like a comic. Maybe like 72 hours to come up with a comic idea and then make a few pages of it.
As someone who's been looking around the game dev community and trying to work up the motivation to actually make my own games, this was such a confidence and motivation booster Speaking of, I have a Java project that I wanted to make art for, so I'll put that motivation to good use! Great job Haley and thanks for the motivation!
I am not the only one who thought that ok. Yeah i played that when i was a teen, fun game it was short and sweet. I highly recommend the game if you wanna kill like an hour of time. Especially because you brainstormed a similar idea.
This turned out so cute! I love the 2.5D concept, and that’s a hell of a lot of work for three days!!! I love that its a sickly victorian boy game too. That concept is so funny and I’m glad you went with it lol!
I specially like the kids messages like the ''floor cheese'' one or the ''does this look infected??'' one.It really sounds like something a kid would say. Also your perfect at drawing stuff they ended up being so cute!I think you should continue on this game. This can be famous.
the first concept you had reminded me of a game called "haunt the house". it's pretty similar, you're a ghost and you're trying to scare all the guests away by possessing objects and having them leave through the door and not scare them too much that they jump out a window XD it just made me happy to see how similar they were idk ':D
This looks (a little on the dark side but) fantastic! Especially considering the time limit. I don’t think I’d ever have the patience to make something like this but it’s fun to see what other people come up with. For the concept my first thought for inevitable was sleep. I was thinking of a game where your objective is to stay awake as long as possible because the character has night terrors. You start at full energy but gradually decreases. In the game certain activities would increase or decrease your energy. Things like moving around, exercising, and playing mini games give you more energy. The longer you’re awake the less effective the methods of avoiding sleep become. And once your energy hits zero you fall asleep. That’d be a bit too complicated for a game jam though I guess
Not bad at all, the themes/limitations that these game jams put on the creators really inspires practical and unorthodox thinking for these games, and it leads to cool stuff like this.
How do you keep doing so many amazing things! I'm trying to study your art, and you're chugging ahead, making amazing content, and trying new things This is amazing!!
As a high schooler who joined a game jam without any coding skills whatsoever and honestly questioned what I was even doing there, watching this video has been absolutely eye-opening. I can't wait to do another game jam and I hope other ppl take a shot at it too. Ty for another amazing vid! :)
Thank you so much for this video! I love watching your progress. It's not easy to find videos of developers and/or artists tackling a project of their interest from start to finish, which has brought me new motivation to face my own personal projects head-on.
Love so many people recognizing the hard work game jams take! I've been doing them for a long time now, and they're so much fun!! If you're interested in participating, know that there are many ways you can help without knowing a thing about how to make games! You just need to find the right team ☺️
This games art style looks so old school sketchy and like a hidden gem you'd see a big RUclipsr play from steam Or an episodic game that only had the demo done for it. Your so close, it would be amazing if you went back to this idea and actually finished it !!!
THE EXPLAINYNG OF THE FIRST IDEA GAVE ME A LOT OF NOSTALGIA FOR WHEN I JUST OPENED FRIV GAMES AND I PLAYED SO MUCH OF A GHOST GAME OVER THERE, I LOVED THAT GAME SO MUCH!!!!
This is incredible!! You managed to make something like that in 72 hours, while I've been struggling to make a comic book for 2 years (T--T) My time management skills are horrendous, hopefully I can learn something from this though!
You can try making a "non precious" comic in a week as a challenge! Set parameters for yourself and you can prove to yourself you can do it!!! Good luck!
@@nefertitimontoya that’s really difficult, because we’re pretty much 99% filled, and then that might get us 105% filled. Basically, causing insanity. Also, sometimes this might lead into something that ends up being too big, I tried exactly what you said, but it still ended up taking months and months, it’s almost going on a year now, and sometimes you just get a little too invested in that side project just to get your career off the ground. Went from just a basic story about A platoon of assassin super soldiers to them having all these elaborate twists and turns and I keep getting conflicted on how I want each and every panel to be.
What if you tried starting it by making the volumes like an animated episode? As in like putting the story into a bunch of parts without making each part as long as a whole comic book. Having smaller goals and making them bigger with time could help!
One of your ideas reminds me of a game thats really childish but so lovable to me . Which is called toca boca it reminds me of it so much except less childish more horrifying .
If they had 144 hours they probably could’ve finished all the rooms and made more diverse mechanics, aka making the soup, cutting the lemon, making and taking the iron, etc. This already looks super fun and given more time could've made for a much harder game that people could compete in! The game rn looks like the Leech part is instant death but with more time for other mechanics, it could've been just an annoying part instead. P.S. I can't wait to play but I don't know where to find it ill research more but can someone help?
1:13 fun fact! there's actually already a game like this a ghost haunts a big mansion, you click on items to like make them move or do something else and it scares people in the house but it's like a party i think? there's lots of people. and you get a fear measure and you try to scare as many people as possible and as much as possible but i don't think they run away they just get so scared they never come back after you are done with the day or something
Honestly I really love doing walk cycle because not only are they easy to look up if struggling also I usually frame by frame the whole body rather than just the legs especially the arms. Also usually I make the up movement and the down movement very exaggerated because it gives it some more personality and I like making the hair go up and down to add to the energy. Also it helps that mu style is very simple.
I honestly LOVE Lavenders style and how her art style is cute, along with some darker moments, like the beginning when her character has the little Skull Pupils and then little Ghosts (I think) around her.
That’s such a cool concept! I would 100% percent love to play a full version, with a possible storyline or something (of course, not asking Lavendertowne to do any more work on it, she already worked so hard)
SO FREAKING COOL. I adore your art, the theme, and what a cool concept! I'd absolutely love to see you continue to expand on your game in the future, whether it's literally continuing development or just drawing more from the universe.
idk why this weirdly dark game made me laugh so much but i love it 😭😭 i’m honestly very impressed considering the 72 hour time frane sounds absolutely terrifying
@@Ezra-wy7ux I know, she only did the art, but it's the same concept and process. You have a limited amount of time and always overestimate what you can do, and have to leave behind very cool ideas. Especially since she was part of the brainstorming process.

the first idea u had in your notebook is or was already a videogame, i used to play it in the computer room at my school . It was really fun, you were a ghost and with lots of interactive spooky things in a big house and u won when the “guests” run scared from the house, sadly I dont remember the game but it was one of my favourite games back then :D I think I played it around 2013-16 (english isnt my first language ,, sorry if I mispelled something)
Saw another youtuber play this game, had no idea it was made by you, Lavendertowne. The little boy is so cute, I wish there was a way to truly save his life rather than just delaying the inevitable. It's kinda sad but the game is so adorable and so well made.
The moment you said delay the innevetable i thought of someone being chased by death or something like that and they have to escape from it maybe in a graveyard in halloween i dunno but if i had that talent and knew how to use these softwares i would definetly do it!! Btw you really inspire me
This was so fun to watch and so cute in a goth way!! You should continue this game and add on different children the doctor can go to instead of repeating maybe! It's adorable either way✨
I am rewatching this video and OMG I cannot exaggerate how much I love watching game characters and animations move without a walking animation. I can't get over how funny watching them do the chacha slide across the screen in their standard position.
Seeing your process, next to other RUclips-Devlogs, gives me motivation for my own game ideas, so thanks! I barely watch those for 2.5d games, but this video reminded me of a few 2d ideas I had for a bit.
Oh man, I would love all three of those games!! I think this was amazing, given the time limit. I don’t know how or when, but I hold out hope for a complete game with all the bells and whistles!
i started watching and got an idea for a game myslef. i've thought if making a game before, but none of my ideas were as good as this one (in my opinion). i though you shod know, being an inspiring artist to all and generally being very creative. thank you! ♡
I’ve played a videogame almost identical to your first concept, it was on mini clip or something back in the good ol days. Solid game, u played a ghost and haunted furniture and stuff trying to scare away the people in the house without overdoing it and killing them I think. This concept almost reminds me of like a reverse fran bow situation where you’re the doctor to a sickly child, overall if it was expanded this could be really cool!
huge Fran Bow energy
Me too!
god i love fran bow

This is so cool and I can’t imagine how hard this must’ve been
NO! NO! NO! Many people say I am sick in the head. NOOOO!!!! I don't believe them. But there are so many people commenting this stuff on my videos, that I have 1% doubt. So I have to ask you right now: Do you think I am sick in the head? Thanks for helping, my dear fa

@@AxxLAfriku congrats your actually sick in the head
honestly i'd really like to see a game like 'nobody's cool in middle school' in the future
I would imagine the game to be like Needy Streamer Girl in terms of how the gameplay is done + what energy the game is supposed to give (aesthetic wouldn't really be glitchy though, instead being early internet era-inspired.)
Id make it but idk how I'd write the story so it isn't too toooo shoved down the player/viewers throat
it kinda sounds like a horror game
Who wants to help me make it? I’m an artist and a writer. I just need a developer :)
@@idk-xs5nz ye!!!!!
It wasn't done alone, its almost impossible for someone to get this quality of work done as their very first game on their own
@@themadartist1980 oh okay
@@themadartist1980 Also the animation.
@@strawberrycrepecookie4422 Animation = art
@@themadartist1980 Animation is like a moving art and I thought that you meant just a drawing, sorry.
I normally can’t even finish a 10 second animation in this time! The quality of this game in so little time is unbelievable!!!
dont over scope
same omg
It took me five days to make a 13 second animation
Same, dude! It took me three days just to make a little head bopping animation!
This game ended up being so cute, I love it! Your idea with the ghost girl reminds me of an old flash game I used to play called Haunt the House too :3
Reminded me of Haunt the House too! I'm so glad she went with a different concept, it would've made me sad to see that old flash game be overtaken:(
Omg yess!!
Cute? I get like the art but the concept and game play isnt
God that game was the stuff
OMG the game turned out so good especially considering it was made in only three days. It would be cool to see her do a challenge similar to this except with like a comic. Maybe like 72 hours to come up with a comic idea and then make a few pages of it.
As someone who's been looking around the game dev community and trying to work up the motivation to actually make my own games, this was such a confidence and motivation booster
Speaking of, I have a Java project that I wanted to make art for, so I'll put that motivation to good use! Great job Haley and thanks for the motivation!
the first concept idea you presented reminds me a lot of Haunt the House: Terrortown :)
YESSS THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF AS WELL!! I remember playing Haunt the House when I was a kid it was so fun
I am not the only one who thought that ok. Yeah i played that when i was a teen, fun game it was short and sweet. I highly recommend the game if you wanna kill like an hour of time. Especially because you brainstormed a similar idea.
yes i thought that too
omgg that's what i thought of as well , i played that game all the time but forgot the name so thx for reminding me TvT
Yes I forgot the name this is exactly what I was thinking of :D
1:35 that sounds just like Haunt The House (a game I loved as a child)
I loved that game too! Her saying that game reminded me.
Yeah it’s the same concept, they probably just forgot they’ve played it before and remembered the plot x3
same thing here!
Yeah I remember playing it often enough on newgrounds when I was a kid.
I remember playing it on y8!
This can be famous.
this is so impressive! I can only imagine what you and the programmers would've been able to do if you had more time
the first concept you had reminded me of a game called "haunt the house". it's pretty similar, you're a ghost and you're trying to scare all the guests away by possessing objects and having them leave through the door and not scare them too much that they jump out a window XD it just made me happy to see how similar they were idk ':D
Ok but can we just talk about the area behind her notebook? It's so aesthetic!!!
Imagine a full fleged game with Lavender as the lead artist, imagine if they built this game completely it would be a cult classic like don't starve
this is actually so inspiring and the game turned out great omg
I would love a more polished game like that! It looks so great!
Not bad at all, the themes/limitations that these game jams put on the creators really inspires practical and unorthodox thinking for these games, and it leads to cool stuff like this.
Drinking game: take a shot every time someone mentions “Haunt The House”
How do you keep doing so many amazing things!
I'm trying to study your art, and you're chugging ahead, making amazing content, and trying new things
This is amazing!!
This is what having an artist work on a game does… that was great and I want to see more
As a high schooler who joined a game jam without any coding skills whatsoever and honestly questioned what I was even doing there, watching this video has been absolutely eye-opening. I can't wait to do another game jam and I hope other ppl take a shot at it too. Ty for another amazing vid! :)
This literally blew my mind, usually im a fan of open world type games, but your concept has me digging your game, i literally fell in love
Thank you so much for this video! I love watching your progress. It's not easy to find videos of developers and/or artists tackling a project of their interest from start to finish, which has brought me new motivation to face my own personal projects head-on.
ever since seeing that video clip, I've been so excited to see it! I'm so happy you made a video on it
Honestly, I'd love to see this concept elaborated on further, I think this idea is really cool
Love so many people recognizing the hard work game jams take! I've been doing them for a long time now, and they're so much fun!! If you're interested in participating, know that there are many ways you can help without knowing a thing about how to make games! You just need to find the right team ☺️
This games art style looks so old school sketchy and like a hidden gem you'd see a big RUclipsr play from steam
Or an episodic game that only had the demo done for it.
This is such an interesting idea ✨
I’ll be sure to check out the game!
Good luck!
Yo same! But right now I have like two or three different projects at the same time!
This is so freaking awesome I am obsessed. The characters, background, and concept is amazing. You are amazing. So great.
A game like what you first came up with already exists, interestingly enough. You've described it on point
What’s it called?
Like the one on friv? With the ghost?
@@solenemillard9460 yes!!!
@@ArtHuman15 It's Haunt the house: Terrortown
One of your ideas reminds me of a game thats really childish but so lovable to me . Which is called toca boca it reminds me of it so much except less childish more horrifying .
I loved toca boca, im assuming you’re talking about that game where the girl dresses up as a ghost and haunts her family
OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!! THE ANIMATIONS LOOK GREAT ALONG WITH THE GAME!!GREAT JOB !
For 72 hours, thing game is f*cking amazing, I wish someone takes the time to make a horror story game out of this
your first idea basically already exists, its called HAUNT THE HOUSE and is really cute and really fun! I played it so much as a kid
1:13 fun fact! there's actually already a game like this
a ghost haunts a big mansion, you click on items to like make them move or do something else and it scares people in the house
but it's like a party i think? there's lots of people. and you get a fear measure and you try to scare as many people as possible and as much as possible
but i don't think they run away
they just get so scared they never come back after you are done with the day or something
yeah it's called haunt the house
Honestly I really love doing walk cycle because not only are they easy to look up if struggling also I usually frame by frame the whole body rather than just the legs especially the arms. Also usually I make the up movement and the down movement very exaggerated because it gives it some more personality and I like making the hair go up and down to add to the energy. Also it helps that mu style is very simple.
the first idea you showed already exists! it's called Haunt The House and i think it had a sequel. not sure if it's still available though,
It's available on steam! It's called Haunt the House: Terrortown, and there's four different areas to play through! :D
As someone who has played in Game Jam before, I think you did an amazing job! (Atleast better then when I did it)
I honestly LOVE Lavenders style and how her art style is cute, along with some darker moments, like the beginning when her character has the little Skull Pupils and then little Ghosts (I think) around her.
you are a really talented artist to make a full working video game in less that a week!! you and sonadrawstuff are my fave youtube artists!
WOAH
ITS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING HOW YOU CAN MANAGE TO MAKE A REALLY INTERESTING GAME IN JUST 3 DAYS
WOW.
That’s such a cool concept! I would 100% percent love to play a full version, with a possible storyline or something (of course, not asking Lavendertowne to do any more work on it, she already worked so hard)
I’d DEFINITELY play this her art style is Very adorable! And i’d love how i’t be a spooky and cute game!
SO FREAKING COOL. I adore your art, the theme, and what a cool concept! I'd absolutely love to see you continue to expand on your game in the future, whether it's literally continuing development or just drawing more from the universe.
I’d love to see this with some lore idk why, it seems like an eerie game that would have some deep story. Like Fran Bow
idk why this weirdly dark game made me laugh so much but i love it 😭😭 i’m honestly very impressed considering the 72 hour time frane sounds absolutely terrifying
Haha, welcome to the life of a game dev. You're never gonna get everything done you hoped for lol
This turned out so cool though!
@@Ezra-wy7ux I know, she only did the art, but it's the same concept and process. You have a limited amount of time and always overestimate what you can do, and have to leave behind very cool ideas. Especially since she was part of the brainstorming process.
this is so neat! i'm living vicariously through you, i've always wanted to participate in a game jam and this came out amazing!
I’d love to see if you kept on building on this game, it has so much potential
that was so interesting to watch!!! This game looks amazing, and I'm amazed it was only made in 72 hours.
I'm gonna be honest, I've been delaying doing quite a few things that I really need to get done but your determination for these types of challenges always motivates me, thank you!!
Wow, this came out great!! Really inspiring, kinda makes me wanna try out a Game Jam sometime (well, when I get better grips on animating, lol)
Think you'll ever revisit this concept, completing all the ideas you initially intended but didn't have time for?
Your first idea reminded me of a flash game I used to play, it was a big house, you played as a ghost and could posses items to scare people away from buying the house.
Your final game looks really cool! It's really amazing y’all did it in such a short time
Hey LavenderTowne! Congrats and thank you for taking part in LD50! 😁
I'm always blown away to see how widespread and we'll know Ludum Dare has become. I've been subbed to you and several other artist RUclipsrs for years now, and it's always a treat to unexpectedly see something like this pop up in my feed. 😁
the first idea u had in your notebook is or was already a videogame, i used to play it in the computer room at my school . It was really fun, you were a ghost and with lots of interactive spooky things in a big house and u won when the “guests” run scared from the house, sadly I dont remember the game but it was one of my favourite games back then :D

Saw another youtuber play this game, had no idea it was made by you, Lavendertowne. The little boy is so cute, I wish there was a way to truly save his life rather than just delaying the inevitable. It's kinda sad but the game is so adorable and so well made.
the first concept reminds me a bit of haunt the house. great work on the game!
I can't get over how funny watching them do the chacha slide across the screen in their standard position.
the game turned out so cool! I'm amazed at how smooth a lot of game jam games are given the short period of work time, you all did a great job!
Seeing your process, next to other RUclips-Devlogs, gives me motivation for my own game ideas, so thanks! I barely watch those for 2.5d games, but this video reminded me of a few 2d ideas I had for a bit.

I know right that’s all I focused on
That’s so cool! I loved watching the process and seeing the final result. Amazing work ✨✨✨
I've seen a couple videos about game jams but it's really cool to see it from the perspective of the artist instead of the programmer
It’s refreshing to see a game jam from an artists perspective.
Oh man, I would love all three of those games!! I think this was amazing, given the time limit. I don’t know how or when, but I hold out hope for a complete game with all the bells and whistles!
I just finished watching it, and it's amazing! You did very good in this process and should be proud :)
I feel like when the game jam is over you could actually finish the game, I think the game would great at its full down!
i started watching and got an idea for a game myslef. i've thought if making a game before, but none of my ideas were as good as this one (in my opinion). i though you shod know, being an inspiring artist to all and generally being very creative. thank you! ♡
LavenderTowne making a game with her own style is the neatest ever! Her style is awesome.. and perfect as a game! 😊
I’ve played a videogame almost identical to your first concept, it was on mini clip or something back in the good ol days. Solid game, u played a ghost and haunted furniture and stuff trying to scare away the people in the house without overdoing it and killing them I think. Game is probably gone forever now, rip adobe flash ;-;
