I have a boat and try to fish around the jetties, but you guys sling lead at me LOL. Want to troll for jacks out there, won't take your fish I promise.... when will they arrive (jacks)? My friend Richardski (RUclips) caught one in the Brazos the other day (3/16/24) on accident.
Was great to see you out there. Glad to see the bite picked up! Wish my girlfriend and I could could have stayed longer. We got skunked, and had to leave. I've never caught sheepshead, spanish, pompano, or jacks. Watching your videos is what made me decide to try the jetty for the first time. Gonna have to come out and try again. Keep up the great videos! Hope to get more of a chance to talk with you next time, and catch my first jetty fish
Hey man never give up ! I’ve been fishing the jetty for 10 years and for the first 5 years or so me and my dad never caught a speckled trout or any good fish. We would just watch people not understanding why we weren’t catching. But you live and learn 😁👍🤙
If you have a little bit of extra cash. The dream set up would be a Shimano vanford 5000 with 20lb braid paired with a tica 9’6 light. And heavy set up I’m not sure I’m not a big fan of my heavy set up so I don’t have a recommendation.
@@JettyMan I really don’t like heavy setup either knowing they make lighter rods that can hold onto big fish so will this light setup catch just about anything out there or do I need to bump up to the medium if they make one
Wow that water is looking so clean, keep those fish coming in, the price of fish is ridiculous and will be going up again, take all you can, share it, someone always needs a fish fry.
I agree but remember always be responsible fish under the regulations and keep our waters clean and healthy ! Also would you believe me if I told you that the jetty has seen cleaner water before 😳
Usually we fish near the end. But that day there was around 100 people at the end so we didn’t even bother going further back. And I don’t look at the tide 😂

And look up st Andrews jetty in Panama City beach fl and tell me what you would use at our jetties here they made a lil different then out there

What time is this? Do you go in the morning or evening? How long do you stay?
We went in the morning didn’t catch anything until like 10am and we left at around 5.

If you can get there before sunrise and fish the sunrise you will have the most success.
