    I used to find edge highlights is annoying but looking at the model you painted, I changed my mind. The capes also looks fantastic

    The using decals on the purity seals trick is pure genius! I'll never need to struggle with silly free hands again!
    For checkerboard patterns I heard a fun little trick to get them done easily. Get a little palette of watercolours (or just a white watercolour) and use that to sketch in your patterns. If you mess up it's no big deal, you can erase the sketch with a little clean water. Once your guiding sketch is in it's a lot easier to fill in the pattern.

    These "box art" tutorials for Ultramarines have been super helpful for me! The GW tutorials were good, but I am getting a way better grasp of the steps and detail from these.

      That means a lot. I try very hard to create tutorials that teach people rather than just showing them :D

    Name's of this Captain is Severus Ademman, he's First Company Captain and suposed heir to Marneus Calgar.
    He was scarred physically and mentally during fight with Daemon Prince Thrice-Born who was a dreadnought. To the point that Tigurius suggested he isn't capable of leading the Company no more.
    Really interesing mini of interesing hero😊
    Just bought it and copying your tutorial❤

    Hi Michael, really liking your tutorials!
    I've just got into painting 40k miniatures very recently, and have picked up the Space Marine half of Leviathan. I'm going to pain them as a recent custom chapter called Knights of Byzantium, but your tutorials in Ultramarines can be applied pretty universally.
    I like the clear and easy steps, with the paint, technique and brush size in the bottom corner. Keep up the good work and you've earned a new subscriber!

    I just finished painting my Terminator Captain last night and thanks to your videos I feel like having done massive progresses in only a couple of minis (the terminators of the Leviathan box). I don't know if it's because your tutorials are very clear or because I have now enough experience to feel confident experimenting more subtle techniques such as glazes and power effects (probably a mix of both) but I really dig your content. I'd love to see tutorials for the upcoming kroot minis!

    • @TableTopReadyYoutube
      @TableTopReadyYoutube  7 месяцев назад +1

      awseome. it probably is both. its having the information and then putting that into practice. you've done the hard bit and practiced and tried things out. you should be proud :) I do love some those kroot miniatures :D

      Marking aren’t so tough. You can be rough to start and just beaten up. I probably spent about 45 minutes tidying things up

    A few questions.
    Do you water down the Lahmian Medium or use it out the pot? How does it compare to varnishes? ie. Does it leave a matt or gloss finish? Also, is it just as protective of the paint as a varnish?

    • @TableTopReadyYoutube
      @TableTopReadyYoutube  Год назад

      You don’t think lahmian medium down. It’s basically paint without the colour pigment and has the same finish the citadel paints.its not going to protect as well as varnish, so you could do another layer of gloss first if you like

    Sorry I'm super new to this... when you say glaze do you mean light use? Or is there something I'm missing?

    • @TableTopReadyYoutube
      @TableTopReadyYoutube  Месяц назад

      a glaze can be a lot of things to different people, in the context of my tutorials, its a thinned down paint which helps create smoother transitions between colours. but there are lots of reasons to glaze
