I believe thats most if not all. The rare bird on top of aptonath and apceros, the dawn/dusk beetle and the spotted fish are trophy/achievments for those wondering. Havent caught mosswine one yet so dont know if its also downy cray like aptonath or different one.

Sweet! I've missed you, didn't know you had taken this up. Spent the past 2 days hunting rare house pets lol. Also, you can buy binoculars from the provision guy, they help a lot in checking for those skittish pets without scaring them off in the process, like the Legendary Downy Crake.
There are also giant versions of each of the fish that spawn occasionally. I have three so far, the goldenfish, the burst arowanna, and the whetfish. Still looking for the rest. You can see them in the fishing spots cause they're big and stick out of the water more. You can put them in the pond in your room.
I have to add this in, you can get super sized fish from the common fish. I caught myself a tier 4 whetfish or, commonly call it a sharpening fish. I was fishing for them when starting out till I noticed it was putting a fight to be caught, at first I thought it was just a common thing but, turned out to be a rather large one. There might be a ton more fish that might be stuffing themselves to grow that large.
Marlin, gastronome, sushifish, burst arowana and andangler are the 5 ive found as giant versions. They are listed as a "Great size" in the hunters book :)

That B52 will always wanna ruin ya day. I caught one of those rare hares by luck and was wondering where I could find more rare animals to catch. I found mine in the coral highlands. You get the piercing slinger ammo or cause different status effects like sleep and paralyze to be used against the monsters with them animals if you kick them. They can be very useful in a pinch if you kick the right ones. I use them on the tougher monsters if I happen across them when I'm fighting. I like that room but I just went back to the private quarters cause I dont feel like an accomplished hunter yet to have the really fancy digs for a room. I didnt like that there was not a chair near the fireplace to sit. I thought that would be a great placement for a comfy chair so I am not sitting on the bed or outside.

In the ancient forest in the zones where you swim under water guppys spawn in the water as you surface. Your net will catch them even though they are in the water darting about in small clusters.
A REALLY rare one, in ancient forest, hardmode,at the bottom level in a small round ish room u can jump down to, just southwest of the kajakalas (on the map) there is a redpit, next to that there is a spawn of a GIANT vigorwasp.
The sunny hare can also spawn in area 17 of the Ancient Forest, and the Emerald Helmcrab can also appear in the bottom of the Rotten Vale, although it’s probably harder to spot.

I bought an Xbone for this game because most of my friends are console peasants. As much as I detest what Xbox tried to pull at E3 2013, I couldn't be happier with my decision; this game is great with friends. If you have friends on PS4, I recommend it (finances permitting).
I like the pet feature in this game but honestly the only pet that truly caught my eye and the one that I just absolutely enjoy is the Dung Beetle. But I also like the Gold Hercudome. And those Large old flying insects in the coral highlands
Pilot Hare isn't even that hard to find or catch, I caught mine at random at the Wildspire Waste, it spawns more often there than it does at the Ancient Forest.
I managed to hook a sword fish thing from the ocean in the ancient forest. Don't know if its random or all that rare, but haven't seen anyone include it in their videos yet.

Jeff B yes..use your capture net. The animation that happens in the room is hilarious. Ill add that you willl know its the rare wasp because its about 2 times the size of a normal and has a huge health sac under it. Try to capture it intact if you take the bauble under it it flys away to regen.
I haven't seen any videos about this pet yet, nor have i found it myself. but many claim to have it. its a rare version of the Pteryx, called the Forest Pteryx. i guess it supposedly spawns in the same area as the Woodland versions do, but I have yet to find it myself
Yeah, those can be found in the same place, just outside the camp and in the area where you find the gourmet shrooms and can ride the wingdrakes up into the canopy.

Moonlight gekkos are pretty cool. They spawn in any location that spawn Gloom gekkos, but are the rare varient of them.

The pink rabbit is only super rare in the forest. They are pretty common in the wastes tho. Like multiple consistently spawn near the starting camp

Coolbreon i got a ps4 and two copies of this game so i could play with my bro. We are having a blast and i barely miss my keyboard.
Well, my brother has an xbox, but he doesn't want the game.

For the emerald crab I found one after a kill and ended up kicking it instead of capturing it. But when you kick it, it drops an emerald.
