A moving target may be harder to hit but a moving target is also easier to see. One of the awesome traits of the human eye is it’s ability to detect movement even in the far peripheral
Yes, but the implication is someone is ALWAYS watching you, lining up a shot.
Made the mistake of reloading in the middle of the road. Lost my pack mule alt that way but it probably made someone happy that day

@@uncletiggermclaren7592 Move more carefully. I see a lot of people in this game that have no strategy to how they move. It doesn't matter how much you're moving, if you make yourself easier to see, I can stalk you the moment I see you. You're gonna have to stop eventually :)

Imagine you're in hedges and tree line at night camping to ambush someone and there's other players in the same tree line doing the same thing:
Accidentally pulls out glow stick
Me (activates proximity chat) "oh shit sorry guys I forgot I had those in my inventory"
The others "oh come on now we need to find another place to hide"

Sat in a tree for an hour or so above solnichy on the quarry one time and a rifle went off a couple trees over. Made me fill my undies

Ah number 7... on rp servers, we call it the jitterbug and love making fun of people who do it constantly. 😂
If you need to move at night with a light source, try throwing it out in front of you. It's better defense against players and works very well moving through zombie infested areas.
Put the light source on a hotkey, so u can pack it away and get it out fast and easy.
Or use the glow sticks as a marker indicator

I love it when people bring me food.
Also makes sense if you don’t want to loot every fuckin building again for food or hunt animals loudly, or looking for a river/pond.
I will always carry enough to get me across the map without issues (and a bit of water with Tablets)
That's why i love good PVE servers, you can actually chill and enjoy the game without anxiety

@T90GoesBrrrrr There is a server called Legendary that is quite active. It is PvE/PvP. Every military camp is pvp enabled, and the entire north part of the map is pvp enabled, where the best loot is. The other areas are filled with zombies everywhere, and there are quests.

The one about moving is double edged. Movement makes you more visible as well.
So move while you are unsure if you are spotted.
One edge is sharper though.
If you feel uneasy about sitting still, keep moving, fidget around, most people miss their first shot on moving target *especially* on console.
this is one of the most brutal games I’ve ever played.

Tip 1: don't play the game, you will be immediately shot by a sniper

No no, you will gear up for days, then you'll be 1 tapped by a sniper without firing a shot.
I love this tip, dont carry extra food just waste it all at once so you can starve a town over when you find out its been looted already 🤦♂️
Don’t forget make sure the gun you pick up has a round in the chamber or is in full auto
I've died to starvation in this game more than being shot. I get food is better served in your gut than in your inventory, but history has taught me to pack food and to always listen for animal noises in case I need a lil snack.
If there a bad shots I don't have to worry that much

Dayz tip: literally existing will get you shot
First kill I got me and a running mate saw a guy in the pitch black with a bright ass white glow stick on fighting zombies in the road….we did a countdown and both sniped him…:lmao

I remember the other day our (me and my buddies) base got raided. I went to Vibor airfield looted up and ended up with gear fear, trying my best to avoid confrontation because I needed to be at my base pronto.
Some guy nearby saw me shot me with a suppressed weapon, and thankfully, I had a plate carrier and assault helm so I only got knocked out. When I woke up the guy wasn't even nearby because he was being chased by the zombies that were chasing me to begin with.
Needless to say, I booked it. I had my priorities, and he wasted his window.

I learned about the ruined clothes too late. I had just made a sawed off. I also found a cz with suppression. I thought i could make rags out of my ruined pants to make fire. Little to say, i was running around in my underwear with a sweater and cowboy hat on😂

I would love to be able to actually find some food to fill my inventory up with.
Don't forget to eat your apple at the spawn, you could be shot by a fruit bandit
If you are having trouble finding food on official, first, make sure you haven't spawned in Kamishovo for gods sake.
Second, learn where food spawns.
The little shops with *red doors* and *rusted yellow shutters* are excellent places to find food.
Restaurants, and the small *yellow apartment buildings* are great for finding food.
Listen for a chicken, there is always a chicken.
My personal recommendation is to find decent clothes, a bag, some food, and maybe a gun, then immediately move to a village inland.
ANd when I don't hear chickens, I get nervous
I usually only carry one piece of food, depending on the scenario
I love how we get glow sticks we can never use
Love watching these even if i never plan to play dayz
I have never had an issue with a glow stick at night
You may aswell have a *FEAST*
The not standing still one I’m conflicted with only dont stand still if your out in fields
Stand still in other places because it’s almost impossible for people to see you if your not moving
I wish I saw this video a few years ago when I first started playing
If I’m in a massive shootout with like 10 people, I’m eating all the food in my inventory and getting my best weapon and rushing straight it in. Then if I’m in trouble I drop all my stuff somewhere hidden and Jill myself. I’m pretty dumb but I’ll do anything to make sure those greedy players don’t get my loot.

Never drop your backpack if it's ruined when it's full of gear, it'll despawn in a matter of minutes and you'll lose everything

Tbh, the taking more food part is something i do in areas i will stay for long times.
I got dayz a couple days ago and like my first five lives i just died of starvation. It was only today that I realized this game is freaking tough. Found a gun and killed a dude who was absolutely stacked, in one bullet. Realistic, but absurdly hard.
I hate games like these where you have one life and you lose all stuff when u die and that it’s toxic as hell but yet I still want to give it a try

in like mid-late game i struggle with TOO MUCH food, i’ll be full water and hunger with pants full of steak
I remember playing 50/50 game were I was bleeding I decided to tear up a shirt and it was dirty but I risk it and I was lucky and didn't get a wound infection
My paranoid ass likes to crouch walk everywhere, especially in cities i hardly ever normal walk
Crouch walking is good in towns and cities less noise you mske your smart

I always only Die when i have Food in my Inventory. Even if its just one Mushroom. So i eat everthing now and find new when im about to Die zo Hunger. And just like that i walk around ok Official for Days without Dying to anyone even tho im running thru Citys and Military like an NPC
