    Next animation will take some time, as I haven't yet started on anything, and I don't know too well what to make. I have begun setting up Source 2 Filmmaker (S2FM), and thanks to a team of creators on the HLA workshop for making tons of Bioshock content - which I can extract and use for myself -, there will be more to add to the animations.
    Not to mention that the S2FM makes stuff way easier, like rigging, particle editing, porting, texturing, bodygrouping, setting skins and handling HD textures (none of which require any manual coding). Also rarely crashes.

    This is awesome I’m a huge bioshock fan but I find so little bioshock content creators so you like a hidden gem of greatness

    Damn this looks really good! I'm honestly surprised this only has a few thousand views. Its a little rough in a few places but that doesn't detract from the overall quality, good job!

    Impressive! Do you think you can make a full movie?

    • @crossbow739
      @crossbow739  2 года назад +1

      An entire movie would be interesting, but I simply lack that kind of motivation for the moment.
      My animations also don't feel good enough for something more "grandeur" yet either.
      I'll probably keep to shorter things for now.
      But, I can tell you that I am making something taking place in the place of the Bioshock 1 trailer; which I've recreated, as close to the original, as I can (the environment, that is).

      Yes, it was actually. Also, if you look a little closer you will find Booker and Elizabeth as well :)

    I see in the description that you ported certain model. Do you have a link to a video / a site that explains how to port models from bioshock to sfm?

    • @crossbow739
      @crossbow739  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I used this tutorial, the parts 1 to 4 explain how to port real well: ruclips.net/p/PL6Ip-joMGZZG8-RKm8YKcyaW7QCyqZSkv
      But I also recommend getting to know the Source 2 Filmmaker (S2FM) as well, as even though it shares its workshop with Half-Life: Alyx', (HLA) there is a way to use a decompiler (I think the software was CGF Scape) to extract these for use in the S2FM.
      And you're in luck, that there's a team of creators on the workshop there that has made an extensive - in depth mod meant as a VR experience for HLA, which you can extract for yourself. I have already done this, and if you take the time to pull everything into the S2FM: you will have almost every single asset from the Bioshock games.
      This is much easier than porting for yourself in the regular SFM and I highly recommend this over that. Although, be aware that maybe S2FM and its new features are confusing at first, and some models extracted won't always have proper armatures (which I spent a lot of time figuring out for a Big Daddy model), and you will have to get quite used to Blender, in the end it will be easier than regular SFM.
