One of my favorite aspects about this album is that it actually feels like an album. I hope that makes sense. Like, despite the wide breadth of styles of songs on the album, there is not one song that "feels" out of place.
In relation to Dreamcatcher performing in a park, there was a vlive they did shortly after their debut that was just them strolling through a park in their stage outfits. The first half of the video is just Gahyeon and Handong walking around and talking to the camera/answering Insomnia's questions, then the rest of the members join in the second half where they start to interact with the general public and try to promote themselves. They end up daring each other to go up to strangers (I think a group of teenagers) and introduce themselves. They end up doing a little live performance of 'Chase Me' for a group of like 15 people that were paying attention to them. The park was packed with hundreds of people, with most just going about their life and paying no attention to them, a few people gave them stares because they were wearing their stage outfits, but that's it. It is a very surreal video looking back at it now and to see how far they've come as a group, even if they still aren't very well known to the general public in South Korea. If you want to check it out there is an English subbed version on the DCverse channel titled: (ENG) 170409 Cherry blossom sightseeing with Dreamcatcher! (Group Vlive)
Paradise is such a beautiful song, one of my go to songs for when i'm depressed. It's a message to her previous self (MINX era) that everything will be ok. She also has a tattoo of this song's name
The whole album is crazy, they are just making lot of genre with songs, but well~ this is what Dreamcatcher do.😏 Yeah, "In The Frozen"...i know that face, i am pretty sure when i first listening to this song, i had the same face too, it was so good and so unpredictable!! They are stored the first and second anniversary's songs (Full moon & Over the sky) in their first full album, so sweet. The "Paradise" had a slow version, it was so great, it you feel free, please react to that too. And please remember "Paradise" style with SiYeon, i guess when you listening to her second solo song in Masion's album, you will frightened...how can she doing some different things on it~?!
idk if anyone has said this but the choreo for full moon is special, especially the beginning part where jiu sings and then she holds siyeon and dami's hands, and then siyeon and dami held yoohyeon and sua's, then yooh and sua held handong and gahyeon's. It's a representation of the order they joined/got in their company. I think it's a great touch for the choreo of their first ever fan song.
Such a great album. So many great tracks. The Frozen is one if their best. I initially was disappointed that all the tracks weren't new, but as I did not have the promos for the two fan songs, I soon got over it. The Promos probably command the highest prices if rhey can be found available for sale. There is also a special clip for the Piano version of Paradise as well as the white version video too. You showed the black version. Looking forward to the next mini album as it has one of my faves.
@@SylverReacts If you're thinking of doing anything special for Siyeon's birthday then the piano version of Paradise is a good option as is her cover of Speechless from Aladin of which the official disneymusic account said, and I quote, "👏👏".
I don't know about singing live while performing choreo in public (you have to ask korean fans for that) but they did quite a lot of busking in their early career, just to get their name out there
Yes, 19:10 this is what I was waiting for you to get to! A while back we were talking about Handong's vocals and I was explaining that just her little moment on live performances of this made me curious as to what she could do with her chest voice. It's so powerful. She even holds back. I bet she could do some good belts or a yell or a Dami "Demian" type part if they let her. I need them to stop holding her back. So Siyeon's solo song I think was sort of a bonus track on TToL. I'm pretty sure it was released previous to this album initially. It has several videos lol the album with everyone's solos is Apocalypse: Save Us 😊
Yeah Handong has some depths to her talents that I think we’ve only seen a few times, hopefully we get to see more of it in the future. Ohhh ok! Thanks for clearing that up 😊
Lol I feel like people don't even associate the terms 'kpop' and 'low-budget' together. DC and DCC didn't have much in the early days but boy did they work with what they had. Even now, they put on amazing concerts where they heavily have to rely on their stage presence and performance because they can't really afford theatrics and spectacle, and people who are not fans and only know huge groups are so lost on that sometimes lol
@@SylverReacts There is a great fan video of "Fairytale" by Insomnicsy (not live, but with very good quality and many older video recordings). And Dreamcatcher has an official “special clip” of this song. Both are very touching. And - thank you very much for your really professional reactions.
My theory is that they added the anniversary songs to the album so Handong's voice could still be on the album. 🥺 Here's a live performance of Daybreak: ruclips.net/video/8Sf6v3WVS00/видео.htmlfeature=shared Such a wonderful album. They really grew so much during the Dystopia era both in popularity and in their craft. This album saw members other than Dami contributing to the writing for the first time with Black or White, Jazz Bar, and Siyeon's solo. Sua got to choreograph her first Dreamcatcher song. They started branching out into different genres and were gaining more recognition from their industry peers. It was amazing to see in real time and it makes me so happy to share in the experiences again when new fans take this journey! ✨✨💖💖✨✨
Thank you for the Daybreak clip and I think you might be onto something about making Handong on the album 🤔. I love the album, it might be my favorite, but it’s hard to compare mini albums to full ones. I think mini album: alone in the city, full: this one, but I only have this one so far 😂
Dreamcatcher presents a song expressing their gratitude to their fans. 1st Anniversary Fan Song Full Moon 2nd Anniversary Fan Song over the Sky 6th Anniversary Fan Song REASON You can listen to a variety of genres in the album and prove how talented they are.
Just to let you know, the Dystopia era gave us the most additional performance videos on the official front. Just for each of the title tracks in the trilogy, they have 3 additional videos for reaching certain MV views milestones they set for the fans (1 dance practice + 2 special performance videos). This doesn't even includes dance performances for other channels or their b-sides. Even Black or White and Wind Blows have their own dance practice videos. So, you'll have a lot of additional videos to check if you want to enjoy it with your viewers. Since you'll probably choose dance practice and live performance for the title track in your album reaction, if you do additional video, I recommend that you don't missed out on BOCA (K-zombies ver.) & Odd Eye (Dystopia ver.). Both are one the best performance videos DC put out to date, IMHO. Along with whatever they put out in the Play Color channel. Also, I love Red Sun (White Blood ver) with the slightly new arrangement. They performed that on the Webtoon Singer show.
My only gripe with Paradise as the studio version is, that I really think it would be more emotional without layered vocals, at least in the verses, or maybe only layered on specific words or something like that. It's not like Siyeon's voice needs it, it's a stylistic choice but it doesn't add anything to it imho.
Paradise was the moment Siyeon finally released all the pent up emotions she was carrying from the failure of Minx. Her fear that her career as a singer was over, when she was clearly born to be on stage with that amazing voice and charisma, was devastating for her. The song is hers and it's very real because the emotion behind it is real. It also brought her some decent money from royalties and gave Dami a heads up that she should be writing songs too.
Siyeon has a tattoo that says "I am in paradise", the one on the back of her neck. I read that "Paradise" is about her heartbreak after losing MINX and feeling at that time she'd lost her dream. She took it extremely hard. But she's happy now 😊
Paradise really show off Siyeon's vocals a lot. I like Paradise more than Entrancing which is her solo in Apocalypse Save Us, alongside other members' solos. both are good, but Paradise showcase Siyeon more imo not in a point of view or bias/stan, she's not in my bias line, so no bias opinion
also Siyeon said her first tattoo is the one on her neck and got inspired by her song Paradise. if I remember correctly someone (if not siyeon herself) said that the song is related to the depressing feel of failure to Siyeon's past as minx. run away, broken heart, definitely suitable for that
45:06 The hand choreography for this part is sign language.
Really?! That’s so cool!!
One of my favorite aspects about this album is that it actually feels like an album. I hope that makes sense. Like, despite the wide breadth of styles of songs on the album, there is not one song that "feels" out of place.
I get what you mean, it’s a wide variety of genres, but they all still feel like a whole package ❤️🤘

It’s a sweet message 😊❤️🤘
Daybreak is the hidden gem for this album
If it weren’t for Jazz Bar it might be my favorite b side on the album, it’s a great vibe

Yes full moon and over the sky are fan songs that had their own releases and they were released during the nightmare era.
That’s so cool that they put the fan songs on their first full album, shows how much they appreciate their fans ❤️

ending on paradise and wolfie's bday in a little over 3 days :D
Oh yeah Siyeon’s birthday is the day before mine 🐺
I don't know about singing live while performing choreo in public (you have to ask korean fans for that) but they did quite a lot of busking in their early career, just to get their name out there
Wow that’s something I wish I could have experienced!
FYI, Paradise has 4 special clips all found on the Dreamcatcher Official channel
[Special Clip] Siyeon (Dreamcatcher) 'Paradise'
[Special Clip] Siyeon (드림캐쳐) 'Paradise' (Black ver.)
[Special Clip] Siyeon (Dreamcatcher) 'Paradise' (White ver.)
[Special Clip] Siyeon (Dreamcatcher) 'Paradise' (Piano ver.)
🤯 I didn’t even see any of them while I was searching for a clip
Paradise vers. piano is my favorite 🫶🏻
I’m definitely going to check that one out
Paradise, Piano version special clip. It's the superior version of the song IMO. It's stripped back to just her voice and a piano and it's gorgeous.
I think there are enough leftover clips I missed for another video next week so we should hear it then ❤️🤘
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😱😱😱😱😱😱👍👍👍👍👍👍
❤️❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘☺️☺️☺️☺️

Yes paradise was released in January of 2020 while the album was released in February 2020
Fun fact, Siyeon was in a rock band in school

Yeah I mean it’s definitely a difference between their earlier stuff and the stuff the big three are doing, but there’s also a charm to it
Dreamcatcher!
You know you're a hard core Insomnia when you obsess over Handong getting enough lines i n OT7 live performances, and she's not even your bias.
I guess that makes me a hardcore Insomnia lol
Red sun has a white rose version for webtoon singer
Didn't know this version of Sahara, I'm always surprised how good are In the Frozen and Full Moon
In the Frozen might be the song that surprises me the most on the album, had me going one way only to go in a completely different direction
For me "In the frozen" is the best song of this album. Best b-site next to "Trap", "Whistle" and "Fairytale".
Trap and Whistle are bangers and I can’t wait to hear Fairytale 😁. But yeah In the frozen is very good!

I love that, and I’m glad that she was able to express herself in these songs
Para mi tienen que ser el mejor grupo de k-pop femenino, no sé por qué su propia gente no le han dado el valor que merecen.

I didn’t know that was the meaning behind the tattoo, because I had seen it before! 😊❤️🤘
@janays3550 "Paradise is where i am"
for the bracket, am not confident RQ against LSF
I’m super interested to see how it goes!
Paradise really show off Siyeon's vocals a lot. I like Paradise more than Entrancing which is her solo in Apocalypse Save Us, alongside other members' solos. both are good, but Paradise showcase Siyeon more imo
not in a point of view or bias/stan, she's not in my bias line, so no bias opinion
