This song hit even harder when you know that Siyeon wrote this song as a love letter to her past self (In Minx Era). Telling herself not to be sad & depressed coz everything is going to be alright. She found her 'Paradise' within Dreamcatcher Era.
@@AntiSocialPlanet After they got their first win in 2022, they all slowly embrace the Minx Era & able to sing their old title track. They even perform Minx Love Shake OT7 version live in their own concert as a 'special guess', Minx Sunbaenim. They want to tell InSomnia that they all okay with it & no longer sad. No longer fear the Minx Era like they used to. It was a bitter experience for all Minx member, Siyeon & Yoohyeon went to cyber cafe to play game to forget about Minx failure. Siyeon even stopped watching any k-pop performance from other artist on TV because it will make her even sad. I believe JiU fill her time by acting in a mini web series called 'Hororong Story" as a main character (a convenience store cashier). While SuA & Dami, doing their best practice in the studio.
Really love your Dreamcatcher reaction and analysis, appreciate of it~❤ Between the "Paradise" and "Entrancing", you can see how createability with her voices. And with her wolfie eye watching in special clip, it is going crazy~~
The wolf gaze that looks right into your soul. This proves that Siyeon just needs simple makeup.. the smokey eye to bring out that gave, a sweater and simple set. The Black and White versions have different sets and outfits (suits) and I adore the Piano version. I want that version released. This song has such inspiration from Minx Era feelings and her realizing that “paradise is where I am” as is tattooed on her neck. So her first tattoo is directly connected to this solo and the feelings that inspired it. The last part of the song starting at the bridge is probably my favorite part.
you flinching everytime Siyeon stares at you is so hilarious 🤣 but totally valid and relatable. If anyone asks me, Paradise is my top solo song of all time.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but I’m pretty sure my first time seeing Paradise was when my heart became forever Siyeon’s🫠 After spending time learning about Dreamcatcher and understanding the significance of the song it’s difficult to watch the video without getting just a tiny bit misty-eyed.😊
Thank you for another great reaction video. Even though I have heard this song at least a hundred times, it still tears me up when I hear it. Siyeon and actually all members of Dreamcatcher are so good at emoting a song. It's one thing to be a technically good singer, which Siyeon is, it's however an entirely different ball game to actually reach into the soul of the listener. She does so in almost every song she sings. At least she has that affect on me. One detail I really appreciate in this song, is Siyeon's pronunciation of the word "heart", which in her case has a soft rolling 'r''. I think that should be the required way of saying that word. Skipping the 'r' as Brits do is a cop-out, while the 'r' that is common in American accents doesn't quite cut it. Siyeon's 'r' is perfect for that word.
In this version Siyeon let you touch the sky . In the piano version she open the gates of heaven and let you spend time in her paradise ! One of my biggest wish is for her to have a collaboration with SNSD Taeyeon that would break the internet for sure ^^
As a side note, on the back of her neck is her tattoo "Paradise is where I am." This song pairs with that tattoo is said to be an homage to some of the struggles and emotions she's been through during her journey from Minx to Dreamcatcher. The Minx era is now very "cringe" for Dreamcatcher and often looked on as taboo, although recently they seem to have softened up to their past. However, it seems there may still be some emotional strain for some of them for what happened during that era. It was trying on all of them. Siyeon also assisted in the writing and composition.
Yeah, I get that they would want to leave it behind for a bit. It seems like a very emotional time for them. But hopefully to more success they get as Dreamcatcher, they'll be able to look back with more perspective
The piano version will likely immediately supplant this version on your playlist (though this version still great - the arrangement here buries the vocal performance a bit which the piano version decidedly does not.). And you have yet to taste the cover that will truly test your biases in the group and across KPop in general. As I wrote here 461 days ago ,"Someday you will come across her cover of Speechless from the live action Aladdin and then, sadly, it will be all over for you."
I'm not sure if I like the piano version more or if I just see the two versions as different songs since the arrangement is different but both have gotten a lot of streams because of me 😅

I was told about this after I did my reactions and now when I hear it, it gets me even more in my feelings 😭I just want to give her a hug

Siyeon isn't acting in this song. She's living it.

Siyeon is so incredibly talented, I'd say it's unfair if she wasn't also a sweetheart and a hard worker

Look, if she's going to sing like that, she's not allowed to make direct eye-contact. It's too much all at once 💀
wolfie howled and the forest ears melted
I absolutely love Siyeon`s solo stuff, and I feel like she out Gahyeon `s Gahyeon with her facial expressions in this video, awesome !!!
24:27 the wolf calling its pack

Yeah, my Patrons have been filling me in on the context of the song and now when I hear it, it hits me in a whole new way 🥹
