- Tip: Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until the meringue browns on top of pie. Let the pie cool and the put into the refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours and then serve.

This brings back precious memories to me. My Grandma Bonnie made this recipe mostly the same, except with graham cracker crust and she would sprinkle a few crumbs on the top. Lemon was my favorite pie and my Grandma was my favorite as well. Thanks for sharing!
That’s the way my mother used to make her lemon meringue pies. For the crust she used vanilla wafers. RIH Mama we miss your pies these holidays.

I LOVE this pie! My family has been making it for many years! It's one of the first recipes I learned as a child & I'm 61! We like to make it in a graham cracker crust with whipped cream.So delicious! No holiday without this pie.

Ms.Brenda, if I wanted to make a bigger pie like in a 9x12 pan. Is it ok just to double and triple your recipe? Also if don’t want meringue on my pie, do I have to bake it. Or can I just let it set up in the fridge. Say if I triple the recipe , it’s ok to use 9 raw egg yokes?

Why you don't use Deep Crust
You should beat your eggs whites in a clean glass bowl and you are right you don't need cream of tartar maybe a little vanilla favalor .

How long to brown the meringue?
It depends on your oven. I set my oven on 350 degrees and then I keep checking for the desired browness.

Can you use bottle lemon juice instead of lemons?
