- A seventeen year old Russian Christian performs a daring escape to get away from the religious persecution of the Soviet Union. He comes to America and stays with a Christian family. While attending the local high school, and much to his surprise, he suffers a different kind of persecution because of his belief in God and the Bible. A good message and good production.

People are being persecuted every day here and all around the world. But God loves everyone and wants you to have the same faith as this young man. Faith in God does
set you free and gives you peace and joy that is hard to understand until you give your life to Him as the young man in this film has done. God gives us so much more than the worlds riches and He (God) is always there for you even in the trials that you go through. I loved this movie because everyone that doesn't love God wants you to not believe in God like they do and not share the love of 'God with others as they share their hate of God with others. What is freedom? Being able to share what you believe and that is everyone. You don't have to listen or believe that is your choice but everyone should be able to share without persecution, not all people believe this and that is why Christian belief is called hate speech and lies. When you know God he gives you the strength, as this young man, to stand up for God and Jesus because he knows the truth(who is Jesus) and He is the one who truly sets you free, not with a set of rules to follow, but with the love that God puts in our hearts for those that don't know Him as a true Christians knows and loves God. I am sorry for you if you don't know God because He is awesome.
Jesus, loves you.He wants you to know you can come to him with all the things you can't even share with your best friend, because you know they would not understand your hesrtije He does. He loves you even if you have never done a good thing and forgives every one of your sins of you just but ask him for His forgiveness! Then your His forever and some day you will go to heaven to be with Him, and your family and friends as well! I'm the mean time Jesus Jesus His heart so to speak. He fill glyph with the Same kind of love He has for God the Father, of all Fathers, so kind and wonderfully Holy. And this love spills over to others! Amen!

The grenade blowing up directly in front of him was obviously unrealistic. But then again, so is Star Wars. I think the message of this movie was great and worth thinking about.

@@Marlon-fv3rj Absolutely. There are even greater miracles than what is shown in the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. I am a huge believer in miracles.
The film here was not trying to show him surviving a grenade blast as a miracle, but it is rather likely that the film makers do not understand how such weapons operate (with shrapnel for example) - something common in even high budget movies of the same time period.

Please. Can anyone explain why mankind has been so threatened by people who have faith in God. I mean, it's been evident since the beginning of the first sin. It seems that no other belief system has been attacked as much as the Christians and worshipers of the one true God. Why do they feel threatened?
Susan, It is satan that is so threatened by God and satan's fear and hatred of God is manifested through those people who don't know God. The Bible says you serve God or mammon, that is God or the world, which belongs to satan. Christians represent the only Savior, Jesus. The other religions do not, so satan does not fear them, he's already got them believing the lie.
Why persecute Christians? Because Christians love Jesus Who is our only True God whom the devil hates. The devils know the difference between God and idols. The devil cannot do anything to God so he has to hurt God indirectly by attacking us. Pray for the persecuted and even their persecutors!

Today is the Day after Roe v Wade was cast down in the Supreme Court. I jumped for JOY after the decision was handed down. I was accused of laughing at the women who needed abortions. My JOY has nothing to do with "people's rights" to kill for convenience sake. My JOY comes from THE LORD💖WHO LOVES HIS💖CHILDREN, AND CREATED THEM TO LIVE THE LIVES, HE💖 BLESSED THEM WITH.

It was a pleasure to watch this movie! Amazing how things are today and they were predicted so long ago... even back thousands of yrs ago. This country is in dire need to put God back into it but I fear that won't happen. God's Word says that every nation will turn against Israel... would we turn back to God and support Israel once again? I fear not. I read a book a long time ago of a Russian who ended up fleeing to Canada, from Russia. He wrote a book called - Forgive me Natasha.
The book was his personal story about being in the Soviet Secret Police persecuting and arresting and even killing Christians in his country.
The turning point came for him when he was forcing a young woman named Natasha to deny Jesus or suffer. She refused and he beat her. She died. Natahsa went to be Home with her Lord Jesus. God used it to arrest his path to eternal death. He became a believer and fled for his life to Canada.

This appears to be a spoof of the modern American Christian family, the schools, and the justice system when this movie was made, but is it really?
Unfortunately it is closer to 21st C. American schools and the American Christian family than even the writers envisioned, though the justice system has improved. The writers ultimately are trying to remind us that God is not mocked by showing us that the only thing needed for evil to succeed is for good(?) men to do nothing.

His requirements for you is that you accept Him, love Him and keep ALL of His Ten Commandments in return so that you can be saved from hell and eternal death before it's too late, that you can live forever. (John 14 verse 15), (Revelation 22 verse 14), (Exodus 20 verse 1 to 17) Read from a King James Version Bible, because they have change words in many of the other Bibles.
We aren't able to keep the commandments perfectly, but we should follow Jesus in our hearts and he'll help us and we'll be saved anyways.

Wow! This might be what people call a b movie, but who cares! It’s an incredible story and it’s happening today even worse than back when this was made! They have such heartaches in countries that your not ALLOWED to read God’s word the Bible and yet SUPPOSEDLY we HAVE FREEDOM to do so here yet so many non believers in God are trying to do here what people in those countries risk their lives for!
If you don’t want to believe or listen that’s your choice, so go somewhere where that person is or where there are people who don’t want to read the Bible. You have freedom to make your choice, just like others have freedom to choose the Bible and to believe in God.
You have no right to make people to stop believing so knock it off. Just mind your own business. They will do the same. If they choose to talk about God that’s their business and choice. If people are choosing to listen to them share their experiences, that’s their choice.
You don’t HAVE to.
So why is there such a problem with this in the United States?
If someone is Buddha and in their daily lives choose to put their hands together and bow to people as they are saying thank you to them, and those people aren’t Buddhist, why are they ALLOWED to do that and no one says anything? Because they can. So if a Christian chooses to pray or say God bless you or practice something from the Bible such as talking about it they CAN.
There’s no difference!! So why are the powers that be over USA trying to force people to not do anything the Bible says? To not believe? To not go to church? To not read Christian literature or movies? Why??
One reason is that they get convicted inside their heart and don’t want to be convicted in their heart about the way they are living or believing.
Why do they get convicted? Because God said that he will put the truth in everybody’s heart so they will know automatically inside themselves what is right and what is wrong so they are listening to that that God has put in them and they don’t want to they want to ignore it so for them to ignore it or never hear it is to shut everybody else up who believes in it. And that is not freedom and that is not with the United States of America is all about and it’s not what do United States of America was built on, it was was not built on communism it was built on freedom it was not built on liberalism or socialism or a government telling you what to do whether you like it or not such as in England the Christians had to hide their Bibles and do underground churches that’s why they came here. And we allow anybody here as long as they want the same freedom for themselves as for anybody else nobody here is supposed to “Lord” over another person. If you want to do that then you need to live in a communist country and be involved with that type of government or in a socialist country where they do that--we United State citizens or non citizens, who are living here for their freedom, don’t do that here and you just need to accept it because that’s what America is. Land of the FREE.

Sorry, I never asked Jesus into your heart. I find that no where in the Bible, John 3:16, "... believe on the lord Jesus...: Acts 16:31 "... Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Telling someone to 'ask Jesus into your heart' is man adding to the God breathed scripture. Romans 10:9 - "... BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." It never said to ask Jesus into your heart.

Acts 16:31 tells us how to get saved.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
