I watched the inquiry. At one point Alex Salmond suggested that the inquiry should try harder to be allowed to take into account information already in the public domain. If the inquiry is being prevented from taking into account all of the facts, shouldn’t it have the courage to resign on the grounds that by continuing, justice is not being served? What's to stop the committee looking on the Spectators web site to read the full censored report, it would give them the knowledge to the extent of the corruption.
The Crown SUPPORTS Sturgeon without a doubt
I watched the inquiry. At one point Alex Salmond suggested that the inquiry should try harder to be allowed to take into account information already in the public domain. The questioner responded “don’t you think we’ve tried” with a resigned shrug of the shoulders! If the inquiry is being prevented from taking into account all of the facts, shouldn’t it have the courage to resign on the grounds that by continuing, justice is not being served? If it does not do this it must be reasonable to assume that the SNP is in complete control of/runnng the inquiry. Openhanded fair JUSTICE, I don’t think so.
that seems a bit of a leap of faith tbh, and at risk of being filed solidly in the 'tin foil hat wearers' category!
I'm curious why folk seem so readily prepared to jump to conclusions before the evidence has been heard? Jackie Baillie for example, sits on the committee, apparently charged with establishing the truth, however it is very clear to everyone watching FMQs that she has already made up her mind before the event.

However, hopefully when ALL the evidence has been heard, they will evaluate it and come to an honest unbiased conclusion. The problem I was expressing is that some of the evidence/proof is being withheld from the inquiry. By, it appears, those intent on finding against Alex Salmond. If the conclusion of the inquiry is that he looses, anyone with half a brain will conclude it’s a fit up/injustice and vote against the SNP in May, if the election is actually held then. My position is that all the evidence, including that in the public domain must be available to the inquiry. It just doesn’t seem right that those in power, are adjusting the law to their advantage.
