    Saw one at Hershey. Amazing truck camper. It’s heavy so you’ll need at least a 350 dually. The 920 has 810 Amp hours Lithium standard. 900 watts solar standard. 45 gallons fresh. It’s the bomb!

    I saw this (likely exact unit) at the Florida show in January. It’s actually not a 30amp rv. It’s a 50amp. One thing I haven’t seen anyone talk about is the fact that it has a full victron setup in it including dual 3kv inverters. The screen for it is behind your head when sitting at the table. If I had known this was coming I might have skipped buying an 1172 last year.

    I chuckled when you showed the MSRP. It's amazing to me how many people fall for that. The MSRP only applies to passenger vehicles. Therefore when you see it on anything else it's a totally made up number made to look like you are getting an awesome deal. Don't take my word for it, check out the MSRP law brought in in 1958 by some dude in Oklahoma. I forgot his name. It and others like them maybe nice but there is no way in the world that unit is worth $80K, I don't care what anyone says. Thanks for the review and travel safely.

  • @ediewall6360

    So. Having no RV experience ( yes, know I should rent first). Looking for something for travel from point A to point B only. No camping. No boondocking etc. But I would travel with 4 crated dogs , each is 30- 40 ish lbs.
    In this camper , i could see two ( crated) on bed and 2 ( each crated) at diner bed, so that everyone gets a window. Great A/ C is necessary for them as 3 are double coated. I am on the West Coast. Would tie down crates. Need to search if legal in WA and OR for them in the camper , while I am driving. Appears safe for them. Large fridge and freezer best for my needs . I do NOT need any oven and I am fully opposed to microwave use for anyone ( human or dog ) as it is harmful to nutrition. I like the bathroom.
    I am open to your thoughts. Traveling solo , so do not need much seating at all.

      Rugged Mountain are just not at the same level specs as the Cirrus 920. They do not offer lithium and have a very small amount of solar. The Cirrus 920 has everything standard, no options. 810 Ah lithium, 920 watts solar, DC to DC charger, 12v 8cu. ft Isotherm fridge with separate freezer compartment.. the list goes on...

    Thank you Todd and Carla for your review of the 2024 920 Cirrus. I like your perspective because it is not “fancy” I mean it in a good way. I do appreciate the fancy, but I like looking at things as if I was there. Anyways, I am big fan of your channel and have been watching you videos for away because I know someday I am going to have a truck camper.
    Well, that day is coming up real soon. I ordered the 920 and will pick it up in a few months. Honestly, I am a bit intimidated, from a camper van to a large camper I gotta load on a truck, what have I done! However it’s all the things I want.
    Can you please pass on any advice for a truck? I am set on getting a 350 Ford w/crew cab DRW gas and I can see from ya’ll set up the flat bed is good for storage and payload. Is there anything else in buying the truck I need to know or have it equipped with besides some of the weight supportive stuff you and Carla have covered?
    Also, I was told that the RV dealer will not help load my camper, 😳. Any solid tips, devices you recommend? Thank you kindly from this newbie!

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  7 месяцев назад +1

      Congrats on ordering your new camper. I know it can be intimidating but you’ll figure it out. Since you’re new to truck campers, I would recommend watching our Truck Camper 101 and Truck Camper 102 videos that’ll probably help you quite a bit to understand what you may need. It sounds like your F350 DRW with a gas motor should haul it just fine. But you will need some frame mounts and some other things to tie the camper down to the truck. Best thing to do is watch those videos. Thanks for watching!

    • @RunawayRoses
      @RunawayRoses  7 месяцев назад +1

    • @daviddarlingauthor
      @daviddarlingauthor 7 месяцев назад

      @@RunawayRoses Even if it wasn't locked, but the handle swung all the way to the hinge side of the door, would you still be able to open? Seems to be a serious design flaw, esp without a vented window on the door, where you could reach through. Any owners out there can confirm this?

    Shower enclosure is disappointing. For this level of buy in 94k retail 😅 it should have one piece fiberglass molded shower - for starters. Couple of heavies in that cab over area with that 90 degree bend does not give me a good feeling on structural design. Nice generous radius can work wonders and has for thousands of years.
    Those bubble windows have to go. Heave hoe the eurozone cabinetry. Yikes is that gawdy.
