Tough but fulfilling and always educational, I think those must be the only constants in beekeeping and 🥰WE LOVE IT!!! I have enjoyed joining you for your season.👍
25:07 - Queen on the frame centre left that you rested outside of the hive. I am always worried that I would do this and loose her because in the moment I am useless at finding her, only afterwards on screen its easier. I've started planning my winter pack down, will probably do it Easter weekend this year rather than Anzac day as the flow seems to be off now (NSW near Canberra)
Well done. She’s dark. I think I’ll pack my down a couple of weeks before winter hits. Last year I took boxes of mid Autumn and missed the flow. Good luck and thanks.
Why are the bees making drones at this time of the year? Do you think they might swarm? I hope we do get a strong autumn nectar flow soon. It’s been a poor season.
No I don’t know why they are still making drones. I don’t believe personally that drones represent swarming as most my hives have drone brood all year and I’ve never lost a swarm. Fingers crossed for an Autumn flow.
@@bennybeekeeper Your comment got me thinking. It makes sense that there has to be some trigger to make drones out of season, to be able to supply genetic material for emergency queens that are created outside peak season.
My bee go to the winter small and it usually don't take them along to start growing. But every year I have one hive that will leave their hive and stay a day or two then go back. Do you have any idea why when they leave everybody leaves no Brood know food they're really clean frames

No idea. Have never heard of that happening.
Check sound? I'm not getting anything, is it me
Possibly. Works fine on my tv straight from RUclips and my phone.
