honestly in my case I prefer going with my makeup which is mostly a very big eyeliner. When I do it people give attention to the eyeliner rather than my nose and lips which are crooked. I just feel better that way but it still doesn't make me feel fully beautiful. I just hate my face
the media girls who wear tons of makeup and say " dw, you're still pretty without makeup/y'all should be confident barefaced" make me feel like i'm listening to a rich person talk about why money isn't actuallymportant🤡
I also hate how I see videos where girls are like: “Look how ugly I am without makeup but just wait till I put makeup on!” It makes me feel weird because I don’t wear makeup because my skin is sensitive but also it’s not something I think about… But seeing videos where girls call their natural state ugly and it’s so normalized is so weird to me. Plus, it makes me feel like I shouldn’t like the way I look or maybe there is something missing on my face.
Glow up videos are like that too. Have you ever seen a glow up video where a girl goes from full make up and her "glow up" is her bare face? It's always the opposite.
@@miji6551 women keep coming up with nonsense to cope with not being Kim Jisoo 😂..the problem is these excuses and copes always go in the "there is no beauty" direction.."every girl is beautiful in her own way".."beauty is in the eye of the beholder"..and all these nuks detonated in this war against beauty that unattractive women are leading..it's literally a war against beauty..as an artist? who realizes beauty is MEASURABLE..I find this war personal. srry grammar,,,
It's weird how women are kinda expected to wear makeup or else be considered ugly while at the same time also get shamed for it, especially non conventionally attractive women. They get shamed for trying you know? I'm pretty average looking and look fine in makeup i guess but I cant help but be paranoid that I'm too ugly to wear it sometimes. Like the saying putting lipstick on a pig lmao. Idk if I'm describing this right but am I the only one who feels this? Like I'm expected to wear it but I also dont feel worthy enough to wear it?
Ever since I was a little girl i didn't feel worthy of wearing nice things because of kids calling me ugly. As an adult I still feel that way sometimes.
Yes work environments have told women to wear makeup or their hair a certain way, people can say oh but men have to shave a certain way, but I don't think that goes as far as telling women they should have to wear makeup... It's just insane.
Yess, thank you so much for saying this! I've felt like this for years but I could never put it into words, or realize that it was tied to my low self esteem and sense of unworthiness. I've always liked emo and goth makeup, and also flowery flamboyant makeup from the 60s-70s but I have always felt like it doesn't look right on me. Almost like I'm too ugly to wear it, my face is too fat, my eyelids are weird, my nose is too wide, I don't look feminine enough (ridiculous i know) etc. I'm mexican and chubby too so only seeing skinny white girls and women wear it made me feel like I almost wasn't allowed to wear it because in my head I would stick out and look ugly in it. Also I didn't wear it for a while because I was afraid it would make me feel even more insecure when I took it off. So I get what you mean. I'm working on trying bolder makeup looks even if they make me feel self conscious that people are looking at me and judging. I don't have a lot of practice but ill figure it out1. I really love bold eye makeup, I need to stop beating myself up and just wear it already.
I was just talking with my mom on the phone literally this morning about this. We were talking about how pre-pandemic, we were both wearing a ton more makeup, but once everyone started masking and we didn't bother to put on makeup bc our faces would be covered, we got used to our makeup-less faces and now we don't feel the need to wear makeup in public nearly as much. It did take a little while, but I feel like it re-wired our brains somehow lol. It might also help that neither of us use social media like Instagram or Tiktok.
Kinda true for me but I actually wear makeup more frequently than before e probably because pre pandemic I was still just 11-12 now I am 15 so I like to try different makeup styles and all its pretty fun. But before I used to only put some because I felt ugly. Now I just do makeup when I feel like doing it. If I don't I simply won't wear it.
I had the same experience as you but for me (still using tiktok etc.) my self-esteem has gotten worse, because not only am I never wearing makeup but I’m still comparing myself to people in makeup and perfectly touched up. idk
I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with beauty. I don't understand this "everyone is beautiful" trend. Because honestly, not everyone is beautiful, not everyone can be beautiful. But that doesn't mean that people who are not beautiful deserve any less respect or have less value. It doesn't mean that they can't be successful or wealthy or happy. People should be judged on their talents and skills and what they offer to the society and not by good looks. I think it's like being wealthy. Some people are rich, most are not but we don't repeatedly say "everyone is rich" because it's not true. We accept the fact and try to do the best we can with what we have.
A good point! Though I do think everyone is beautiful to someone given how many people are in the world, it doesn’t actually matter anywhere near as much as who a person is. We don’t owe the world beauty anyways.
@@sourgreendolly7685 Yes I agree, there are some people I know who aren't "pretty" as in the typical image of pretty, but because of the person they are and their personality, they are pretty to me
I think that beauty is subjective while being rich (money wise) is not. Therefore, everyone can be beautiful since you can be beautiful to one person but not another. Even though there are people who are considered "conventionally attractive", they are still not attractive to everyone objectively. However, not everyone can be rich because you have to fall into a certain socioeconomic category that is based on how easily you can support yourself and the actual net worth that allows you to fall into that category.
@@TheSroy133 I think ' being wealthy ' is subjective too. A person living in a slum who is below poverty line would think that someone with a stable job, house, car, etc; is rich but the person with stable job would consider a business or an actor who earns in millions is rich. A businessman would not think a normal person with a stable job is rich. Ofcourse there are certain standards defined by government that categorise people in different socioeconomic classes but still everyone's idea of how much of wealth is enough for them is different.
I love the artistry of makeup. But I do wish people weren't shamed into wearing it. It should be embraced as a form of self expression, not forced on to cover "errors"....and certainly people who do use makeup should not be shamed for that either. Imagine shaming someone for a haircut...oh wait people do that too whenever a woman cuts her hair short 🙄
There are two problems - first - "the artistry of makeup" - the vast majority of women who use make up dont do it to express the artist within. Very few actually do something interesting and creative with make up. The majority just try to look more attractive. To hide bad skin, to make their eyes more visible, to create illusion for having high cheekbones. Short hair on women - pretty simple - short hair is like a magnifying glass for your face. So if you are not literally model looking - its not gonna do you any favors. If your nose is on the bigger side - its gonna look huge. Eyes a bit too far apart - will look like 10 miles apart. Long hair softens the features and gives a frame to the face.
@@alexforce9 please understand that artistry does not mean only doing fancy art stuff. Hiding blemishes and enhancing features you like is also art. People don't need to do anything "interesting" with makeup unless they want to. Jusy like people don't need to wear fancy clothes unless they want to. Being able to cover a blemish that suddenly appeared or make your lips look poutier also requires skill. Not sure why you are harping about short hair. A lot of the issues with short hair come from sexism and the expectation for women to have a certain look. Short hair can be rocked by many different faces and has many different styles. I'd argue that short hair looks better than boring long hair cut the same way. Anyways your two problems dont seem to be problems considering what artistry refers to and the diversity of short hair cuts available lollll.
@@xani_was_taken You are so full of shi1 lol. Having a skill doesnt make an artist. There is nothing creative in hiding bad skin. Just coz you used photoshop to change your pics and make your waist line thinner doesn't make your pics a work of art. I hate wearing makeup!! Due to the fact that when I have tried to wearing foundation on occasion my skin has so much texture. it also makes my acne more noticeable with the bumps :( I really do give props to the girls who wear make up and wear it confidently and do it so amazingly!! If you don’t wear makeup like me dw you’re also extremely beautiful! ;) bye loves!!
Same.. But it does hurt when your guy friends say that u look like a piece of shit, and then go on to compare u to other "naturally" beautiful girls they find on internet.. I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, some just stand out than others tho.. Edit: Thank you so much to all the wonderful people telling me they r not my friends! I hardly talk with them anymore.. I've realized that being alone is better than associating myself with toxic people, and I'm practicing self-love now! Thanks again for ur beautiful reminders, love y'all! ❤😊
Beauty gurus and celebrities give you the illusion that your make up should be so flawless that it looks airbrush but they are actually using beauty filters, flatering angles and lighting along with their make up, make up in real life will only do as much for texture, scars or hyperpigmentation tough, also practice is key to improve with make up so dont give up ,every one is beautiful anyway with or without make up.
I've given up on foundation, and I rarely even wear concealer. If I wear makeup, I literally just wear eyeliner, maybe some eyeshadow, and mascara. Then sometimes I'll add blush over just my bare, natural skin, and maybe some highlighter. If I'm really going for it, lipstick can be fun. But day to day, I literally just do eyeliner and mascara. I don't like the way foundation looks on my skin either. I find it accentuates all the things I'd like it to cover up so I prefer to just rock my natural skin and the makeup I do wear is for self-expression. I want to add personal touches to my face, not take away from it. I find this makeup philosophy very freeing.
@@helloitsme-_- you cant trust social media with natural beauty everything is well put together and edited and even those "natural" girls are wearing make up ,using filters , profesional lighting and what not , dont listen to them.
I personally don’t want to wear makeup, because I feel like if I start wearing makeup then people will think I’m so much prettier, and then when I don’t wear it, and it’s my natural self, I’ll look ugly. I’d rather just be natural
@@jarenfromvenus yeah but I'd rather not spend all that money and time on makeup, and rather just be my natural self. I figure if I stay natural it's just better
I used to wear a Lot of makeup when I was younger (I'm 25 Now) until I learn the amount of nasty chemicals Makeup has, I prefer looking "ugly" than looking beatiful in the outside than being all sick on the inside
This is why when I do wear makeup it is usually a tomboy less noticeable type of makeup look so it's not like a drastic difference like when girls contour their face shape.
Makeup was so normalized that all people think : Taking care of yourself = wearing makeup. If men don't wear makeup it's ok, why would they. If women don't wear makeup they're ugly bums. You can't even be taken seriously if you don't wear makeup to your job
I truly can't stand this mentality having a certain perception of feminity of what it means to be "put together" pushing on you. I grew up in the southern US and lots of people think like that.
Dang, it sucks when you actually HAVE to wear makeup. In my culture its completely optional, if you want to you can if you don't you also can. Also, if you want to cover your whole face (wearing a face veil) you also can lol.
I stopped wearing makeup when I worked at The Body Shop because I just didn’t have time and was feeling really beautiful in my own skin. My manager literally threatened to fire me if I didn’t start wearing makeup again!! There was a customer that over heard and was disgusted by this and reassured me that my worth doesn’t go away because I’m not wearing makeup
This is not really a comment on the video, but it’s related to the topic and I’ve always felt the need to say this thing: remember that trend of ‘exposing models/girls wearing makeup to show that they are actually ugly underneath all that?’. I think that what started as a good intentioned thing lost its meaning. It wasn’t ‘see? Even with acne and imperfections they are still beautiful and that means you are also like them’ anymore, it was more ‘hey, you’re real ugly but guess what? Without makeup she’s real ugly too!’. And I hated that trend. I don’t know if people still do this, but showing that people are “ugly” without makeup doesn’t really make me feel better, actually it only makes me feel like I NEED TO WEAR A TON.
yeah it’s a deliberate tactic used to humiliate women and girls and purposefully inflame their insecurities surrounding “true beauty”. The ongoing ‘natural beauty’ craze is connected to this as well. (both are bolstered by men, which isn’t shocking)
Like in the lisa manoban plastic surgery and wonyounf videos where girls would be making fun of their looks beforehand and then saying how much better they feel knowing they're not as pretty as they look with makeup or work done
@@loliwinxedits6095 don’t know the second individual (not a kpop stan) but I saw this Lisa thing… It was truly weird! We should let ppl live their lives bc these situations makes me feels as if ppl have been not considering famous artists as common humans!

What I felt after watching this video: It has become so difficult to be kind to oneself. Please wakeup and realise celebs are also people they are not alien they have same issues as you. People want kindness and acceptance for themselves but are not ready to extend the same to others especially anyone more popular than them. It makes me sick.
It's not just about makeup,it's about work done too. Celebs often lie about it and say oh cmon it's just skincare and makeup. Now why would anyone believe celebs then. Most of ppl dont know about it and think it's their Genes which are ugly
@@zt8065 I too feel that people feel cheated but when kylie jenner sadi her lips were only because of overlining and her lip kit, then people are simply fooling themselves. We like to simply blaim others because that is easy. Ex: let's say a celebrity brings a skincare line and says that is the secret of her good skin, like really? Did you made this thing 5,10 years ago and was waiting till today to release it. If it was 2000's I would be more sympathetic towards people blindly believing in what celebs say. But not now when everything is out there. People are frustrated because they wholeheartedly want to believe that this one thing will solve their skin/beauty/life problems and when that doesn't happens then they have to find someone else to blame. I will cite one more example, I am not able to remember the name but in a vogue skincare routine there was this girl she said she uses sugar and lemon mixture that her manager mixed for her and that she was keeping for over a week. And guess what people believe it. Sorry for the long comment.
But regular people don't have tons of fans who supoort them, celebs do. That's an undeniable fact. Also they have an image to maintain and so celebs will lie more than regulsr people to maintain their image. Just see them complainign about how quarantine sucks when they have a mansion, how it's their 100% natural face but they have a professional edit the photo, professional lighting and actually they have products moisturizer etc or even makeup on. They lie and pretended they didn't. So they are people too or whatever but aren't exactly... the same... and its their own fault. Also their lies actually influence people. Non celebs they lie and it doesnt exactly influence or affect ppl cos they have no fans lol
I personally think that no woman is ugly , with or without makeup everyone is special with their own faces , it makes me sad when I see those girls being insecure about their bare faces even tho I do sometimes and I hope we all have the chance to become confident one day + glad you're talking about this topic
*EXACTLY!!!* No woman is ugly. Heck, not even _not ugly, just poor._ Just _not prompty groomed/dolled-up._ Just wear the _right clothes,_ do the _right makeup,_ and get the _right haircut,_ and voila! *ANY WOMAN WITH SOME EFFORT CAN LOOK HER BEST.*
Beauty is an extremely subjective term. It all comes down to each individuals specific preferences in what they find attractive, until it becomes the majority, and a standard. I find more unique faces beautiful myself but others probably don't, which is fine, as long as they're not insulting people and lowering their self esteem for something they can't control. If you find someone unattractive, stay quiet about it and respect them as person
just as i was thinking it, you said it. makeup should enhance our natural beauty. personally i hate wearing makeup because i don't feel like myself. my sister, on the other hand, absolutely loves wearing make up. we're both beautiful with or without it :) it makes me sad that nowadays everything is an extreme
I completely agree! One of the main reasons I don't wear much makeup is because if I get complimented on my looks, I want it to be on my natural features, not the ones I pasted on with makeup. I like using light makeup to highlight or slightly enhance the features I do have, not giving myself features I don't actually have like sharp cheekbones or plump lips. However, I'm aware this reasoning isn't for everyone, so to each their own.
@@rachelstankich6052 omg I feel the same way?? But I didn’t know how to word it. I feel like if I were to wear it, and people complimented me more with makeup rather than without it, it would destroy my self esteem even more. Tbh I don’t wear makeup at all really. Actually, I only just started wearing it this year, but I only use concealer to cover my dark circles. Anything else for me seems like too much.
As a makeup artist who teaches makeup lessons this is exactly what I tell my clients. Makeup is about helping you achieve a style or make you look how you want to look. You should feel more like yourself in good makeup. If you don’t, don’t wear it!
I still wear full glam makeup but ive found i feel a lot prettier without it since i started focusing on “decorative” makeup (eyeshadow, fun colours, graphic liner, sparkly hilight) over “corrective” makeup (contour, bronzer, concealer, etc). I do all the fun stuff without actually trying to change my features and its been so much better for my self image, i really get to have my cake and eat it this way
And there's people like me who don't wear makeup because I can't seem to learn how to apply them correctly. I have tried. On the brighter side, i have accepted myself without makeup. I'm confident with my bareface.

People should do what they want as long as they’re not outright lying about it. I personally prefer being bare faced because I’m too lazy to do my makeup consistently, and bc of the recurring costs. That being said my skincare routine is wanting to wash my face daily, and either under eye gel or eye patches. I’ve been blessed with nice skin and features.

@@Zoe-nl1jn and that’s how it should be tbh! Everyone does what fits them! Full glam looks doesn’t have to be the only make up style, or styles that change how you look. There’s also more simpler ways to use makeup that won’t alter your face and make you look like a different person
As a 26 year old that hasn’t worn makeup in 6 years, I feel pretty confident without it. But I also look way worse in pictures and videos than any of the beautiful women with makeup. But I’m okay with that because I don’t feel the need to look that good. What I’m currently working on is getting over the engrained fear of body hair that we are also taught to find ugly and shameful. But that’s discussion is for another time 😂 great video thanks!!

As someone who has vitiligo spreading, on non exposed parts of body and hands rn. The idea of beauty makes me anxious. I hope things get better for everyone of us struggling with skin conditions. :(
people with good skin will never realize how mentally taxing it is to live with skin conditions. I have been clinically depressed my whole life mostly because of my skin conditions
I think ”flaws” on skin often look really pretty, or features not looking like the norm. It gives you character! I hope you will start loving your skin because you are beautiful.
I am sure that it is very hard to accept your body changing. But I just want to tell you that the people I have known (both black and white) who had vitiligo, I never for a second thought it made them ugly. It’s hard not to stare because the skin color and texture is so mesmerizing, it’s actually quite beautiful. Sometimes our faces may look blank or surprised which could be mistaken for disgust. But I thought these people were gorgeous.
I rarely use filters when filming videos for my IG and tiktok and I must say sometimes I feel a little bit insecure comparing myself to the people using heavy filters / makeup... I know this feeling is wrong and even though I'm 100% sure I don't want to change / modify my look with filters and I do understand that this isn't the real faces of those people, still this gives that strange feelings... I've been working in fashion industry for a long time and I just don't want to see myself "edited" - this I know for sure... But it's the everyone's own choice what to do with their faces, how to look, whether to use filters or not. The most important thing is to not being judgmental and not to harm anyone. Thank you for one more amazing video Zoe! 💜💜💜
the thing is that they don't even look bad without makeup! it's how we all naturally look! i used to cover up my face alll the time but slowly i learned to just not care and know that i should love myself no matter what i may look like. if you're struggling i'd recommend getting off social media as well.
This kind of thing has been in my head for a while now. It makes me worry that I won't find dates or love because when I take off the makeup, am I actually pretty anymore?
The right people will see your beauty. I know it feels like everyone thinks this way but it’s not everyone. Some people see you and are intimidated by how pretty they see you. People have different tastes after all! It took me a long time to get that but it’s true!

i wanted to learn how to do makeup just cuz some older women used to point out my acne and the dark spots really did get to me. on top of that, i've got vitiligo (just on my left leg).. so yeah, my self-confidence was very LOW. especially during the pandemic.. until summer, when i went to the beach. and yeah, i felt really pretty that time cuz i was confident (somehow) and was having fun. so. yup. u do u. don't let ppl drag u down cuz believe me, i felt so stupid for getting sad for petty things strangers used to say
@Everything Of Indian Cinema. ik that i shouldn't care about what ppl think of me and stuff but it's wayy easier said than done. especially if they start attacking u out of nowhere
@Everything Of Indian Cinema. i'm not giving excuses. low self-esteem has biological and environmental factors. even though a person would know that caring about what others think just makes them sad- u can't just wake up one day being a confident person. it takes a lot of time. besides, being aggressive is not the way to go. this is not really for getting advice on how to deal with life- just a place to share the experience.
@@anushadanadamani284 I agree with you. Do what you need to do to feel confident. You can’t win in a heavy visual driven society such as this one. And trying to please everyone will get you no where. I liked wearing makeup as a teen and young adult, but now as a 30-something mother, I absolutely despise it. I maybe wear makeup once a year for a special occasion, but otherwise I go bare-faced everywhere. For me personally, I noticed makeup was used when I felt insecure and was constantly trying to “impress” people; I wore it back when I cared about other peoples’ opinions. Since maturing out of that, I do what I want to do, which is not waste time smearing overpriced junk on my face and instead do something worthwhile!
Since little kid, I have liked to see people without makeup, with their real face. I like to see how the skin ages, I don't find it unpleasant, I find it beautiful💜
Another factor: the pressure to look "perfect" with a bare face has certainly been a factor in the rise of permanent makeup and other cosmetic procedures
I actually think I’m really really pretty without make up, my features stand out more as being individually beautiful however I look like a fucking Instagram model when I beat my face and it’s awesome. I feel like when I do my make up my whole face comes together but as I go through my early 20s I appreciate my bare face more and more.
it always baffles my mind when people are shocked when they see someone looking different with makeup off. Why tf would I go through the trouble of putting make up on if I'm just gonna look the same? The whole point of make up is to change your face whether it be from hiding your imperfections, enhancing a part of yourself, make yourself look more refreshed...etc. Like come on. Is it really that much of a shock? Especially in this day in age where people literally cake their make up on.
It's interesting to see so many different perspectives. As someone who has barely any makeup skills and therefore goes barefaced everywhere, I've never thought of how other people might view that. My "full face" is just a bit of concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and/or lipstick. I've corrected people who see my bare face and assume it's makeup. I never really paid attention to the commentary around this and now it feels like I'm the strange one when I go out without anything on. It's really concerning that this has become so normal
This is such an interesting conversation because growing up, I had cousins who told me I should get into makeup to be more "girly" but I always focused on my natural face (skincare) because my mom always taught me your natural beauty is beautiful. But I always thought well I am obviously not "pretty enough" if I should be wearing makeup so when I tried to learn, the makeup people would ask why do I want to wear it when I don't need it. It was conflicting things back & forth until I finally wore it for prom almost 7 years ago, my face hated it, its itchy. I tried it again a few years ago and its still the same thing. I love watching people put on makeup because it makes them feel good, just like skincare does for me. Of course, ppl are going to look different when they put it on and take it off. I feel people should do what makes them feel good and also stop worrying about "glass looking" or "bare" face skin because you will get blemishes, zit, etc no matter how much you try to keep it looking "natural".
I used to rely on makeup and I never went out without it, but then I got busy with school and I just stopped caring. It’s been years now and honestly, I’m happy with that decision. I’m not 100% confident, but I feel better about myself now. And it’s nice to have extra time before I go out Whether you wear makeup or not, you are still beautiful and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise ❤
"natural beauty" costs lots of money. Not even speaking about surgeries, but treatments, skin care, massages, dermatologist appointments... A fortune I've spent since I was 18... And it still doesn't feel like enough.
@@hnyuq4049 "natural beauty" is an effect of a lot of effort. Even if someone has nice features, if they don't care of their skin etc. They won't be taken by the society as the natural beauty. Maybe when they're kids, but this is where effortless beauty ends
Thanks for making this video! I think all of us needed this! Many people wear make-up, they do look prettier, not always, but over-using it or wearing it just to hide their pimples, we have learnt to know that no one's perfect, it's okay to have acne, that's what everyone has at some stage of their life, I don't hate on people who wear make-up, just a little reminder that every single person is beautiful in its own way! Don't be insecure about the way you look, don't compare yourself with anybody else, you don't know what's their true story behind their "perfect" skin, body and a lot more. Also, filters aren't solution, you might look prettier, but why would you use it? Just because you want to show the world that you also have a perfect skin and body, please, don't be fooled by any IG reels, TikTok videos, where the person in the video looks neat, you never know what's the truth behind that. Appreciate your skin and whole body, you're special! Sending you all so much love! ❤️
I love wearing makeup because I use it as an accessory to match all my outfits, and genuinely can tie a look together with color. I just hate it when my dad will say things like "you know guys don't like girls who take a long time to get ready or put on makeup" like bruh ok, I don't do it for them? I like slaying for the ladies and myself, it's a form of self care for me at this point 😌💅
another important point is that we're just human, we really dont need to look beautiful or pretty 24/7, thats just simply how we are not made to be. we're fcked over enough by the beauty standards, it's a rebellion to be kinder to yourself
loved this video! I personally don't wear makeup bc I never learnt how to do it, I went for 5 min more sleep rather than makeup in school lol, but i never felt any different about people with makeup (or without), I still appreciate a good makeup look, it's insane to me what some people can do with that for me that's a to each their own thing what irritates me is that there's girls shaming other girls online, either for wearing too much makeup, or dragging others that supposedly feel 'better' for not wearing makeup, like I've never met anyone that feels superior for not wearing makeup, yet I've seen so much more videos of people making fun of everything, like what's the point, you can't win, no matter what you do
For me seeing these famous women without makeup just makes me feel a little better by knowing that they're human like us and not some kind of goddess. I look at them and think "wow, they are real people!". Deep down I know that trying to think of them this way will make me feel better in my own skin. It takes time, of course lol
I’ve noticed that the less confidence I have, the more I wear make up. It really depends on what I’m going through wether or not I wear it. So now I try to avoid wearing make up to feel better but rather for fun. It kinda works
I remember being a sad 12 year old with a lot of acne, watching Alicia Keys 'Fallin' video, trying soo hard to figure out how in the world is she so beautiful with such smooth skin. Had a conclusion that I am doomed to be ugly forever. When I see that video now, even though Alicia is absolutely gorgeous it's clear to me that there are filters smoothing out her face like a video game character.
I have battled acne for years and wore foundation/contour everywhere for like three months. Until recently about a month ago I decided to say F it and go out with my normal eye makeup and natural face most of the time. Not my job to fit into society's unrealistic expectations. And tbh it probably helps to teach some people that you can be a baddie and also have acne 💖
In my surroundings, nobody wears make up on a daily basis (to go to work, to school,...) whether or not your skin is perfect. I'm 22 and I only wear make up once or twice a year on special occasions. Ngl, my skin is flawless (mostly thanks to genetics) and I thank God everyday for that.
Same here!! But I’m mainly the only one who doesn’t wear makeup on a daily basis. I’m very thankful that I have good skin! I just need to keep up with it.
lucky I have so much acne and scarring marks all over my cheeks :( I can't go outside without covering it because I feel so insecure. you are so blessed with good skin, I've done everything possible to treat acne but it will not go away
here, in india as well make up is worn only on special occasions, people here are obsessed with natural beauty and even just applying lipstick and eyeliner is considered makeup. but ig its kind of getting better now, because in the past women who wore makeup were considered bold and genuine.
@@chloe-ev3qk yup. People with clear skin can afford to go without makeup. I don’t think they will be able to relate. If you feel insecure with acne marks and makeup helps, then you gotta do what works for you and makes you feel confident. There’s more makeup styles out there than “full glam” etc which don’t make you look like a different person, but only enhance your current self. I hate this stigma surrounding makeup. Personally I only use concealer to cover my dark under eyes and I look the same. Just not tired. I’m wishing you the best on your acne journey. ❤️ I was the same only a year or so ago as a teen, where nothing seemed to help and any medication my parents got me was futile. Now that I’m a adult (20yr) and I rarely get new flare ups of acne (cystic or otherwise) since I’m not going through puberty anymore, I still have leftover PIH and PIE, so I started looking into a proper skincare routine and within just a few weeks-months my acne marks such as PIH and PIE cleared up tremendously. I still have some, but it’s a journey. I really recommend you to check out the skincare addiction subreddit if you haven’t already, it really helped me. Best of luck❤️
To be honest I feel like I look better without makeup, mostly because I don't care to learn how to do it properly and I feel like it's a waste of time and effort, at least for myself. However, I'm scared to explain this to others because I don't want to sound like a pick me girl thats bragging about being "naturally beautiful" or too good for makeup when that's not the case. I seriously just prefer my natural look because that's what I've always seen in the mirror and I've learned to love it without having to add much of anything else to it. I hate that girls in my situation are getting hate just for not wanting to wear makeup and loving their bare faces, like you really can't win.
This is kind of me. I wan not really into make up as teen so I have never learned to do it nicely. So sometimes when I go to party and know we would take pictures a try to do something. Usually I don’t like it so I just wasch it of and put mascara on with lipstick because it is the easiest to do😂😂😂
I wanted to comment on the "girl who doesnt wear makeup". As someone who wears makeup all the time because it is fun and a hobby, rather than a enhancement of my visuals, i am really grateful you mentioned this side as well. The amount of patronizing ´au natural´ people who comment on my makeup is sometimes so exhausting. Even better when they use backhanded compliments like "Wow, I could never go out with such a colorful look". Like bruh good for you, but what does that have to do with me? I just wanna be happy in my little looks and stop hearing all this fake positivity speeches about how i should be more confident without makeup, because even a long time ago when i have used it to get a ´glow up´ these speeches did nothing for me. The only thing that helped me is my own self acceptance.
Your videos have really helped me to realise no one is as perfect as they seem . I thought I always knew this but seeing how ‘natural’ faces online aren’t real. It has given me a new perspective
it's so weird like when i say i don't wear makeup people say im trying to be "not like other girls" and a "pick me" when in reality my skin is just sensitive pro max, im a lesbian and good makeup is expensive as hell ??? maybe people cant spend that much on these things did you ever think about that
also i dont trust myself with makeup AT ALL. i need someone who knows what they're doing for me or i'll end up looking like a clown. which again, i cant get so why bother
@@moonchild8480 precisely😩I once wanted to do my eyebrows, so I used eyeliner, filled my eyebrows in and I ended up looking like a witch😭 after that day I have never done my brows and don’t like doing anything to them
so interesting how a lot of the effects of misogyny that are/are similar to this get kinda just completely skipped over by masc wlw. like I love wearing makeup but I genuinely feel that I look like the same person with a full face / without anything on
Celebrities and the beauty industry make more money by imposing standards that are unreachable, but that causes a butterfly effect for a bunch of smaller influencers to follow suit and it finally reaches us "normal" humans. I think this next generation will grow up with much more inclusive views on beauty _and_ a bunch of insecurities that I don't think existed to such an extent before the internet.
lived my whole life w/out makeup and only wore makeup like twice just for fun and its crazy how much it can change your face and boost your confidence but i always thought it was too much work and i never liked the feeling of wearing something to change my face. I love seeing many women and men doing makeup it’s literally art and many do it for themselves and not for others. With or without makeup every single person is beautiful ive seen many during their worst and i see someone who is just as beautiful as they are.
The best advice I heard about makeup is that you’re ready to wear it when you feel comfortable with your natural face. I’m personally insecure and I feel like falling in love with how I look with makeup on will set me back from loving my bare face. So I’m just not ready to start wearing it yet. But some women don’t want to look natural anyway so what’s so bad about a glitter eye look or graphic liner? It looks bad ass.
This has been a subject of insecurity for me. I'm 20& I have never been in such an occasion to feel like wearing a makeup( i know it doesn't sound right but yes it's true). Only recently, I had such opportunity and I was freaking out. I had makeup to purchase I had to learn how to wear them. On the event date, I wear the lip liner and the light lipstick which you'd notice lily depp rocking at many occasions. I did apply this blush over my sunscreen using this trick i learnt on Instagram and that was it. I felt cute anyway. Since I've never really done much, anything can feel dramatic or too extra for me. I'm in this stage where i do want to learn how to do makeup and esp eye makeup (those girls draw on eyes like they're creating art) but i also want to develop a healthy relationship with it. When to wear, when not to because this no-makeup makeup look also causes insecurity, and shame. Makes me feel self conscious and not want to click pictures. As I'd rather not..maybe with respect to the time I've to prep before going out or for an event i should and shouldn't wear makeup. It is going to be a hard line to walk upon.
My advice is: wear it when you feel like it, which basically means that if you want to leave the house and putting on makeup feels like a burden because it's something you have to do, then don't wear it, because that's when it becomes unhealthy.
I used to wear a lot of makeup every time I'd leave the house, but at the beginning of this year i became lazy and did just some basics like mascara, brushing my eyebrows and lipgloss, no foundation (eventho my skin is FAR FROM PERFECT) and no heavy contouring, eye makeup etc. And i noticed how prettier i look and feel despite having some imperfections ☺ And also how tacky it all looked on me before 🥲 So that's probably why most of the people are hopping on this "no makeup" makeup trend
Exactly!! With no makeup looks you still look like yourself. That’s the whole point. It just enhances your current self. I keep saying this in other comments but there’s more makeup styles out there than “full glam” that don’t make you look like a whole different person. Which is where this whole makeup stigma comes from. Do what suits you ❤️
just what i needed as i was harping on my many blemishes and this one scar i got on my face that WILL NOT GO AWAY FOR THE LIFE OF ME- i try to remind myself that under foundation other people have marks too but then i just want to WEAR makeup to hide my natural skin. it feels like an endless cycle
As someone who doesn’t wear makeup, and when I do it’s very minimal, I sometimes feel “less than” for not wearing makeup, not having the money or the skills to achieve beautiful makeup looks. On the flip side, I have also been trying to get fully comfortable with my natural beauty - it is really is in the eye of the beholder
I just love how Zoe teaches me about some social media struggles cuz... I don't have tiktok nor do I want to have it. I don't wear makeup, but I don't put those who wear it. I just can't stand girls who put girls who don't wear makeup down. People should mind their own business once they realized that their actions are wrong. Anyways....good topic zoe !☺
i wish i could wear makeup because its literally an art in my perspective, but for the life of me i cannot make myself look good with it on. idk if its because my makeup is low quality or what but mad props to all the people out there who actually are able to make it look good
I used to always leave the house with a full face and it almost felt like I had to. But then due to covid and starting a new career I just didn’t have the time or mental effort to put on makeup in the mornings. It definitely broke me of the “I HAVE to wear makeup in public” thought process.
Back when I used to live my 20 year old brother, he will always talk about how women online always use make up to catfish, and without the make up in filters that they just look like pure nothing. Me personally not ever wearing make up it is a little bit harsh for those insecure women and I can fill that every time we used to talk about it🤷🏽♀️
When I was in high school, I had skin problems, mostly acne. I had a lot of ppl telling me to hide it with make up, but I didn't really see the point of doing that tbh, in the end of the day I still had to remove it and look at myself in the mirror. Besides, it only made my skin more oily. As a result, I never learned how to wear make up, and even though my skin is definitely clearer now, I can't bring myself to learn it, so I just go out bare face
What a wonderful video on makeup and the pressure to look flawless. I’m 53 yrs old and do not wear make up daily. Yet I run meeting on video with vps etc. what I’ve learned good moisturizer and confidence go a long way. We are all just human. And our flaws make us beautiful and unique. Keep making great content!!!
I grew up never wearing much makeup at all, almost completely none. Friends and family have only done my face like three times, one for prom (which I was insanely insecure about my face) Apart from that, the occasional lip gloss or lipstick, that’s literally all I’ve done on my own. I was “not like other girls” when I was young (garbage phase) and swore never to wear makeup and be “natural”. And since then I never learned to put it on, I don’t know much about it but wish I could put it on, makeup looks so fun and cool, so very pretty. But like I said when prom came, I felt so ugly and “fake”. The issue is I’m so used to not wearing it that I feel so weird when someone offers to put it on me, but I also feel so ugly and compare myself to other women but I need to realize it’s the makeup. I’m stuck in this weird loop where I want to wear makeup, but society makes me think it’s trashy and fake but I also feel so ugly and bare without it. Such simple things make self confidence and self love a struggle . Wish makeup wasn’t so demonized, even I sometimes have that ingrained view, but being natural is also demonized :\
I think makeup is such an art, one I wish I could master. So most times I save myself the embarrassment and just bareface every day. Sometimes I do feel pressure to wear pressure because I do get comments about 'not putting in effort' or 'if you would just put on-'. Why do we hold standards for others??? If ppl decide to wear makeup, nice! If they don't, nice!
I can't say this enough. You are so cool. There are so many people that are too scared to talk about these kinds of subjects, but you manage to do it in a way that isn't hurtful to anyone, but still says what has to be said. Keep up the amazing work💞
I'm in my 30s and I remember as a kid that it was unthinkable that some women wouldn't leave their home without makeup... And now I'm one of those women. Even tho my skin is better than ever before (acne) and I feel good about myself, its just ingrained in me that I should have make up before I go out anywhere.
I really appreciate you talk about this topic makeup or no makeup we all have bad days and good days but we are not plastics . I love watching Zoe videos it so eye opening and encouraging make more videos like this ... #loveyourself. ❤️❤️♥️♥️
You snatched the words from my mouth that ' Makeup is nothing but an enhancer of your Beauty ' , I believe in makeup being just a catalyst, like we say ' Just like a cherry on the top of the cake ', the cake in itself is tasty and cherry just enhances it. Anyone wondering ,I am a girl and I were makeup only when there is an occasion, normally my sunscreen is my go to
Same here, sunscreen foundation and tinted lip balms would be my essentials if I were to go out! But I'm totally bare-faced most of the time since I stay indoors.
When I hear a woman say "well she's ugly without makeup" to me that's a sign of jealousy. It's just a way to make ourselves feel better because we feel the competition & our insecurities coming out.
Eh, no. Some people look totally different without makeup and some don’t. Some women are very plain without all the contouring and coloring and such and others just look enhanced with makeup but still themselves without. It’s not jealousy, it’s reality. It’s an observation from surprise really. Like damn! What a difference!
@@chicanapunkLA you literally were just telling people how to think “a way to make ourselves feel better” No. speak for yourself. Play by your own rules. K bye now
@@chicanapunkLA so if you want to write what you claimed - meaning only speaking for yourself, you should have said, “I, Chicano punk LA person, say it when I’m jealous bc of my insecurities. Others may say it for different reasons that they are entitled to think.”
I felt this. One of my exes best girl friend called me ugly. Said she thought he was gonna date someone prettier. Let me tell you, she was more insecure than me, wore makeup to make herself feel better, and had no girl friends because she trash talk all of them cuz they weren't up to her "pretty" standards. She wonders why she has no girl friend... so she has to seek attention from her simps/guys in general. My ex at the time knew of this but never called her out. So yah luckily we're broken up cuz I would never let myself get disrespected like that ever again. I love myself with and without makeup.
I thought that wearing makeup was a tradition that all women did. Once I realized I didn’t have to wear it, I stopped. I still have those days I feel like going full glam, and then the next day I wear nothing. I just do what I feel. I get comments on it, but it’s my face and I get to decide how I feel about it.
It is so true , it depends on so many things, we all have our "ugly" moments and "beautiful" moments. The internet is so fake sadly and it makes people think that having some imperfections is makes someone ugly when we all have them.
The whole ,,I feel ugly without make-up" resonated w me. I struggle a lot with selfworth, not just looks-wise, but even mentaly. My multiple diagnosis do not help. I hid behind tons of eyeliner. I already hide my body in clothes I wear. I know that I wore more alternative clothes since age 13 because I wanted to distrsct people. Cuz if they were looking at me, it was The clothing, not because of how ugly I was! Now I am more at peace. Yes I wish my waist was smaller, I was skinnier and my face was prettier. But I no longer have to make up excuses as to why I need make-up to go for groceries or why I need a full fit for picking my sister from dchool. I still wear those clothes. But it is now because I enjoy it. Idc for people as much nowadays. Even makeuo-free, I am fine.
my personal pet peeve with celebrities 1) their No mAke up Makeup is basically a filter, an airbrushed picture of themselves with a little bit of foundation exc. like how is that no makeup? it just fuels insecurities in both people who do and those who don’t wear makeup 2) most of them have access to the most expensive beauty treatment so when people look at their non existent flaws (which could also get covered up, ex: the kardashians photoshopping their paparazzi shots) also does a lot of damage
ive always hated makeup on me mainly because when looking at myself while wearing it makes it feel like im looking at someone else and i hate that. felt so pressured to wear it as a teen for looking way younger than i was (still do) and not being conventionally attractive (still not) plus an ever so lovely 'friend' whod straight up just tell me i should lol. i only did wear it for prom cause i was so scared of standing out but i very obviously didnt know what i was doing lmao, never worn it since.
Seen plenty of people be stunning without makeup. I've also seen people with makeup take off their makeup and reveal years of neglected skincare and supercompensation for too little sleep. I'm sure there's brands of makeup, techniques and proper skincare that remedy this, but generally speaking, I think makeup LITERALLY makes a lot of people look less attractive without makeup than if they had never begun to wear makeup.
I love makeup on other people... but I just can't. between laziness and just not liking how it feels on my skin, I chose to focus on skincare. it helps that not many people I know wear it anyway.
watching this just to cope.. my self esteem has tumbled so terribly for the past few weeks because im suddenly desiring features i dont have and i want to look good without make up on. a reality check is needed.
Thoughts on wearing makeup vs going bare face?
Bare face is better.
whatever make you feel comfertable is best
Wear what you want, whether it be nothing or full beat. No one should be pressured by anyone or anything to wear or not wear makeup.
Do what you love 💛
honestly in my case I prefer going with my makeup which is mostly a very big eyeliner. When I do it people give attention to the eyeliner rather than my nose and lips which are crooked. I just feel better that way but it still doesn't make me feel fully beautiful. I just hate my face
People aren’t ugly without makeup, they just look like they’re not wearing makeup. Looking like a person doesn’t make you ugly.

Plus, it makes me feel like I shouldn’t like the way I look or maybe there is something missing on my face.
ignore those girls. continue wearing your natural look. they are just insecure, don't let their personal insecurities affect you.

Don’t say that. Every woman/girl has worth enough to wear make-up how they want. Ignore the standards society puts on us!
YES!!! I feel exactly the same
Yess, thank you so much for saying this!
It might also help that neither of us use social media like Instagram or Tiktok.
getting off Instagram has improved my life!! and I never had TikTok thank God hahah
I’m so happy for you! It’s such a nice feeling putting on makeup when you actually want to not because you feel that you have to
I've had the same thing happen to me!
YESSSS i wanna tattoo this comment on my forehead SHE’S RIGHT AND SHE SHOULD SAY IT
glad you’re touching on this topic, it definitely needs to be spoken about
Agreed!
Agreed! So what’s best for you 💛
@@helloitsme-_- you cant trust social media with natural beauty everything is well put together and edited and even those "natural" girls are wearing make up ,using filters , profesional lighting and what not , dont listen to them.
"you literally can't win." that sums it up
You win by not caving to beauty standards. You also win by *actually* not caring what other people think of you plain faced.
I personally don’t want to wear makeup, because I feel like if I start wearing makeup then people will think I’m so much prettier, and then when I don’t wear it, and it’s my natural self, I’ll look ugly.
I’d rather just be natural

Or you could not care if you look ugly. Not a tear down just a thought.
Makeup was so normalized that all people think :
Taking care of yourself = wearing makeup.
If men don't wear makeup it's ok, why would they.
If women don't wear makeup they're ugly bums. You can't even be taken seriously if you don't wear makeup to your job
I sometimes wear make up to my job sometimes I don't. People get used to faces without make up once they have seen them more than once.
@@hockey0013 some manager......... that’s such a dumb reason to fire someone, who r they to decide what ppl do with they face?
True but some celebs really ugly without makeup and work done.
Like in the lisa manoban plastic surgery and wonyounf videos where girls would be making fun of their looks beforehand and then saying how much better they feel knowing they're not as pretty as they look with makeup or work done
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some women is ugly..it's normal..
just as i was thinking it, you said it. makeup should enhance our natural beauty. personally i hate wearing makeup because i don't feel like myself. my sister, on the other hand, absolutely loves wearing make up. we're both beautiful with or without it :) it makes me sad that nowadays everything is an extreme
Yeah most especially in Americans I watched alot of videos girls wearing so much makeup but end up looking naturally beautiful. So amazing!

I still wear full glam makeup but ive found i feel a lot prettier without it since i started focusing on “decorative” makeup (eyeshadow, fun colours, graphic liner, sparkly hilight) over “corrective” makeup (contour, bronzer, concealer, etc). I do all the fun stuff without actually trying to change my features and its been so much better for my self image, i really get to have my cake and eat it this way
I don't really wear makeup often but on occasion I love wearing decorative makeup, it just brings out my personality
And there's people like me who don't wear makeup because I can't seem to learn how to apply them correctly. I have tried.
On the brighter side, i have accepted myself without makeup. I'm confident with my bareface.

I personally prefer being bare faced because I’m too lazy to do my makeup consistently, and bc of the recurring costs. That being said my skincare routine is wanting to wash my face daily, and either under eye gel or eye patches. I’ve been blessed with nice skin and features.

As someone who has vitiligo spreading, on non exposed parts of body and hands rn. The idea of beauty makes me anxious. Even though I've been told I was pretty since I was a kid but now all people ask me is 'whats that on your hand?' Watching these people with perfectly ok skin call themselves ugly is so...
@surbhisharma eat steak and eggs everyday and your vitiligo will go away.

Covering up acne, dark marks and under eyes is no where near the same as “full glam” makeup looks that make you look like a whole different person imo. So continue doing you and doing what makes you feel happy and confident in your self.

Since maturing out of that, I do what I want to do, which is not waste time smearing overpriced junk on my face and instead do something worthwhile!
i always love zoe's real takes on beauty standards. such a good reality check for my self worth.
I feel people should do what makes them feel good and also stop worrying about "glass looking" or "bare" face skin because you will get blemishes, zit, etc no matter how much you try to keep it looking "natural".
exactly I love how you focus on skincare most importantly

I like slaying for the ladies and myself, it's a form of self care for me at this point 😌💅
another important point is that we're just human, we really dont need to look beautiful or pretty 24/7, thats just simply how we are not made to be.
we're fcked over enough by the beauty standards, it's a rebellion to be kinder to yourself
applying makeup is therapeutic for me. when I'm done with my makeup sometimes I don't even feel like going out. I just enjoy the art of itself

what irritates me is that there's girls shaming other girls online, either for wearing too much makeup, or dragging others that supposedly feel 'better' for not wearing makeup, like I've never met anyone that feels superior for not wearing makeup, yet I've seen so much more videos of people making fun of everything, like what's the point, you can't win, no matter what you do
For me seeing these famous women without makeup just makes me feel a little better by knowing that they're human like us and not some kind of goddess.

You know, funny you say that because now video games strived to get those pores and blemishes on screen to show how high the graphics are...
I have battled acne for years and wore foundation/contour everywhere for like three months. Until recently about a month ago I decided to say F it and go out with my normal eye makeup and natural face most of the time. Not my job to fit into society's unrealistic expectations.

@@moonchild8480 precisely😩I once wanted to do my eyebrows, so I used eyeliner, filled my eyebrows in and I ended up looking like a witch😭 after that day I have never done my brows and don’t like doing anything to them
@@Lovelesslouvre i get you. it's totally a personal choice and no one should be shamed for it
why do you need to state the fact that you're a lesbian
@@ikeepscreamingbutgodwontan3132 because the term "pick me" is generally associated with wanting to appease men. why did you think i did?
so interesting how a lot of the effects of misogyny that are/are similar to this get kinda just completely skipped over by masc wlw. like I love wearing makeup but I genuinely feel that I look like the same person with a full face / without anything on
Celebrities and the beauty industry make more money by imposing standards that are unreachable, but that causes a butterfly effect for a bunch of smaller influencers to follow suit and it finally reaches us "normal" humans. I think this next generation will grow up with much more inclusive views on beauty _and_ a bunch of insecurities that I don't think existed to such an extent before the internet.
Honestly, everyone is beautiful with & without makeup. We’re all unique & that makes us all special.
lived my whole life w/out makeup and only wore makeup like twice just for fun and its crazy how much it can change your face and boost your confidence but i always thought it was too much work and i never liked the feeling of wearing something to change my face. I love seeing many women and men doing makeup it’s literally art and many do it for themselves and not for others. With or without makeup every single person is beautiful ive seen many during their worst and i see someone who is just as beautiful as they are.
YOU LITERALLY CANNOT WIN
The best advice I heard about makeup is that you’re ready to wear it when you feel comfortable with your natural face. I’m personally insecure and I feel like falling in love with how I look with makeup on will set me back from loving my bare face. So I’m just not ready to start wearing it yet. But some women don’t want to look natural anyway so what’s so bad about a glitter eye look or graphic liner? It looks bad ass.
I love wearing makeup. I love how it makes me feel when I see myself all done up, that's not going to change.
Seeing impossibly beautiful people on screen is amazing but seeing real people sometimes is even better
And i noticed how prettier i look and feel despite having some imperfections ☺ And also how tacky it all looked on me before 🥲
So that's probably why most of the people are hopping on this "no makeup" makeup trend
Exactly!! With no makeup looks you still look like yourself. That’s the whole point. It just enhances your current self. I keep saying this in other comments but there’s more makeup styles out there than “full glam” that don’t make you look like a whole different person. Which is where this whole makeup stigma comes from. Do what suits you ❤️
One doesn't have to be 'beautiful' to be human.
just what i needed as i was harping on my many blemishes and this one scar i got on my face that WILL NOT GO AWAY FOR THE LIFE OF ME- i try to remind myself that under foundation other people have marks too but then i just want to WEAR makeup to hide my natural skin. it feels like an endless cycle
Anyways....good topic zoe !☺
i wish i could wear makeup because its literally an art in my perspective, but for the life of me i cannot make myself look good with it on. idk if its because my makeup is low quality or what but mad props to all the people out there who actually are able to make it look good
likecan we just talk about Zoe's eye makeup? Simply mesmerizing
I used to always leave the house with a full face and it almost felt like I had to. But then due to covid and starting a new career I just didn’t have the time or mental effort to put on makeup in the mornings. It definitely broke me of the “I HAVE to wear makeup in public” thought process.
zoe is so inspirational. idk, she just seems very real.
Back when I used to live my 20 year old brother, he will always talk about how women online always use make up to catfish, and without the make up in filters that they just look like pure nothing. Me personally not ever wearing make up it is a little bit harsh for those insecure women and I can fill that every time we used to talk about it🤷🏽♀️
Zoe, I love your fashion sense. You look absolutely amazing.
Keep up the amazing work💞
with makeup, its still their true features and makeup is only an enhancement! LOUDERR
Thanks, Zoe. This video did well for my self esteem
I really appreciate you talk about this topic makeup or no makeup we all have bad days and good days but we are not plastics . I love watching Zoe videos it so eye opening and encouraging make more videos like this ... #loveyourself. ❤️❤️♥️♥️
i rly like how zoe is also including some asian women in the clips, we love asian representation.
The sad fact is that I slowly start feeling ugly without makeup because everyone wears makeup and hides their bad skin...
Same😢
When I hear a woman say "well she's ugly without makeup" to me that's a sign of jealousy.
I really like the way you talk, it’s very calming to hear idk how to explain but your voice is extremely soothing
Even makeuo-free, I am fine.
my personal pet peeve with celebrities
1) their No mAke up Makeup is basically a filter, an airbrushed picture of themselves with a little bit of foundation exc. like how is that no makeup? it just fuels insecurities in both people who do and those who don’t wear makeup
2) most of them have access to the most expensive beauty treatment so when people look at their non existent flaws (which could also get covered up, ex: the kardashians photoshopping their paparazzi shots) also does a lot of damage
Girl, I needed this video today. I felt like shit for the whole day and it really helped me to get a grip
this is why i love u so much zoe 🥺💖💖
ive always hated makeup on me mainly because when looking at myself while wearing it makes it feel like im looking at someone else and i hate that. felt so pressured to wear it as a teen for looking way younger than i was (still do) and not being conventionally attractive (still not) plus an ever so lovely 'friend' whod straight up just tell me i should lol. i only did wear it for prom cause i was so scared of standing out but i very obviously didnt know what i was doing lmao, never worn it since.
