Lol I hardly changed the water at that time I didn’t think it would work but it works like a charm. Once it started growing leaves I was changing the water once a week or so. I spray seaweed extract on the back of the leaves and stem so I let it kinda soak up that from the water also. Checkout my newer videos on this rootless orchid. It has lots of roots growing now. She went through a tough trial and error period with me until I got it right.
Hi! Thank you for your question! I mix up seaweed extract with rainwater. They were pretty slimy and I like to spray the underneath of the leaves 2x a day, but in this case I was just wiping them clean from the algae that collected on them after them being in the water for so long.
Thanks for the video. My first time trying to save 2 rootless orchids . I'm going to try this method.
Awesome!!!! Checkout some of my recent videos about this orchids. It’s growing so many roots now. I finally got it right.
This method is so fascinating. I'm going to try this with one of my rehabs.
Make sure you let me know how it goes for you 😃😃😀
That was not a terminal spike. It was an aerial root.
How long did you leave the leaves in the water? I saw another video of a guy changing the water once a week.

Question, what did you spray on those two leaves and then wipe them? To clean them before putting back in water?
