without knowing the true definition, on sound of word alone, i'm guessing - of a quality enticing / exciting to the most baseline of caveman sensibilities
When the shuttle program was ended when I was a kid I felt like all hope was lost for the future of space exploration. It really broke my heart and ruined my drive to work in the space industry. Seeing what spaceX has done has completely brought back my dreams of humanity being an interstellar species. My son has no idea just how lucky he is to be young during these historic times and potentially be a part of it.
Its a great video. “Easily”? No. There’s other videos with more crowd engagement and reaction. Might be more accurate to say, this is the video YOU enjoyed the most. You don’t have the knowledge to say otherwise.
@@conradallen9864 lol yeah 2 weeks after the ship was launched of course better video is out with many different angles and qualities. I commented shortly after launch and at that time....yes, this was easily the best on youtube as no one had theirs edited and posted just yet. At least not any that were easily found. This fit into the algorithm and its what was easily found. You're a bit late to the party, move on. 😆
I like how there's another launch tower off to the right.. I'm assuming as a backup for the next flight incase the booster would have annihilated the original one.
Not a backup per say but an actual redesign all together. Most importantly , this tower will feature an actual flame diverter trench like all other launch pads.
I can't tell if you're serious or not but this is the first time anything even remotely like this has ever been done. Everyone thought the idea of catching a rocket mid air at the launch pad it just came from was insane when they announced it. The fact that they did it first try is inconceivable. We are witnessing a spaceflight revolution in real time. It is hard to equate this with anything we know. I want to compare it to the invention of the wheel, the car, or the airplane. It is a really, really big deal.
Not a test actually. The grids are left out because the drag from then being out is less than the weight penalty to have the movement mechanisms. Those grid fins are the size of a modern car and moving them take a while bunch of force.
this is the most shroggulous thing ever in history !!!1
what is "shroggulous"?

@@grasuh it’s an inside joke, we make up words 😂
Stop trying to make shroggulous work, its not a thing.

easily the best video on the internet right now for a complete start/finish of the heavy booster

Best footage I've seen. Fantastic engineers!! Bravo!!
Very good video with no annoying commentary or background music.
That was the goal, granted it was difficult to not cheer 😂
Really wanted nothing but the raw audio
Outstanding footage. You've witnessed history. I hope any kids watching will be inspired to do well in STEM subjects.
beautiful video! thanks for giving me and others the opportunity to see it happen like this though I'll never be able to get there in person
A fantastic start to finish video! 🥰
Definitely the best. Steady camera. Well done and thank you for sharing

i love how maybe their eyes were deceiving, so after the rockets shutdown can be heard after delay, they cheer again :)
thank you soooo much!!!!!! that sound is just eargasmic!
Best video!!!
thanks for sharing your video with us.
Great video
For a sense of scale . . . that rocket plume is about as long or even longer than the Titanic.
Great video!
Great work camera person.
Awesome!!
this is fantastic. if you have the original source files of this would you mind sharing them to me over drive or dropbox?
07:30 Just say no to Vertical Video. Those guys in the bottom of the view... ffs...
Respect 🙏 🙏
I don’t get why everyone was so hyped. Was it a special rocket or moment?

@@EvanSchurr ooh. I also heard it was flown by robots if I’m correct.
@@theadventurousboi9609 the entire flight process is automated but there are no robots onboard

I know it'a test flight, but why were the airbrakes on the first stage out on the way up?

Way to go science & capitalism! If this was our socialist government it never would have left the ground!
Elon is a hero
Yay!..Thank you for this Elon..as we can't see much for results from government based program anymore..other than emptying the public coffers..
