    Checkrides on this side are mostly over the water. It would be considerate to open the door and let the examiner jump into the ocean if they're uncomfortably hot and sweaty from being nervous.

    It looks funny to see all the Benjamin's but that's exactly how my niece passed her Driver's License test. She ran over every traffic cone when backing and parallel parking. Her Dad was watching and when the examiner exited the car, he had a folded a $50 bill in his hand and he shook the hand of the examiner and said: "I am so grateful my daughter passed her driving test". That was 30 years ago, she's only totaled out 2 cars since then. 😜

    I had forgotten about the Deflector 3000 Extreme. On a different note, I saw an old friend at the Labor Day Parade, he says guess who got to take a 709 ride last week. I asked what did your DPE do? Turns out the DPE for his Multi had been taking bribes, for real. FAA called for 709 rides for more than 900 pilots. This guy has his ATP but had to take the multi over of course at his expense.

    BEWARE The FOI was the hardest written test from me... it is the only written I ever failed (miserably). The only way I could pass was rote learning ( Sheppard Air) score a 98
    btw you are at the top of your game, now is the time get your BGI and AGI and IGI easy peasy

    • @VictoryAviation
      @VictoryAviation 11 месяцев назад +1

      The FOI was my highest knowledge test score yet lol. Memorizing all the content for the oral though? Lord I’ve done a lot of tests in my time. That was possibly the hardest material to memorize. It’s a bunch of wordy, redundant, buzz-word, garbage.
      I’ve taught as an instructor (professionally) in other vocations for years. Trying to understand the FAA’s version of learning was straight up awful.

  • @imachavel
    @imachavel 9 месяцев назад

    You bribed him with about 10x what that check ride should actually cost. Wouldn't it be easier just to retake it if you fail? But yeah I guess if you don't want to calculate CG and memorize AROW and read through the FAR and get correct radio phrasology then sure it looks like $2 grand would do it. I hope that works. Those DPEs are getting hard to bribe though. With effort like that though I hope you pass. After watching further it gets even better. How to pass turns around a point? Pick a group of trees "I was turning around that one. No that one. No that one. No that one." How to keep the gyroscopic instrument centered? Show him your mastery of memorizing the circuits as read in the POH! Once it is correctly pulled the gyroscopic instrument will remain centered on the instrument reading. He wants you to do few stalls? Correct landing with engine off? Explain your very well disciplined aeronautical decision-making abilities and tell him you check the density altitude of the day high humidity high temperature high altitude how you think it's a bad day to practice all that. Why is there a tow attached to the landing gear? An answer for that as well. "I am PIC here. When I am PIC don't correct me. It says in the FAR PIC means pilot in command. Want to make things even easier in the day and age when working remote is by far the most economical aspect of flying? you show him your solo ability and he follows you on FlightAware from the ground. Perfect! This is 100% how you prepare.
